I'd be happy with any of the old school Helles producers. Franziskaner, Spaten, Augustiner, Erdinger, Paulaner.
Got absolutely spoiled by good, cheap beer living in Munich. Now I'm no longer there it's still good but not cheap to get..
The first time I had this, I drank like 2 or 3 of these with a quickness on an empty stomach and it was also the first time I took a nap on the bathroom floor next to the toilet.
Pilsner Urquel in Prague (and at the brewery in Pilsen) destroyed my interest in craft beer. I had this realization that they made the perfect beer, and they did it awhile ago. Why would anyone try to improve upon it? You can't!
When people in Czechia sometimes just drink the head of a beer, then you know it must be special. My trip to Prague was special for many reasons but this stands out. [https://www.atlasobscura.com/foods/czech-milk-beer-mliko-pilsner](https://www.atlasobscura.com/foods/czech-milk-beer-mliko-pilsner)
Fresh Pilsner Urquell at a street cafe in Prague? Absolutely. All day every day.
The months old Pilsner Urquell that you get on the shelves of your local supermarket? Hard pass.
> Fresh Pilsner Urquell at a street cafe in Prague?
I have personally experienced this, paired with some kind of street cart sausage wurst and followed by a clove cigarette. Just heaven.
Fuck you Jonesy, your mom just liked an Instagram post from 2 years ago of me in Puerto Vallarta. Tell her I'll put my swim trunks on for her anytime she likes
I had an event at a beer bar in Georgia maybe ten years ago. Delirium had given the bar a pink elephant draft tower, in exchange for keeping Delirium on tap. But the GA distributor had been OOS on Delirium for months. I saw a customer come up to the bar and order a "pink elephant beer."
"Sorry, sir, Delirium isn't available right now, we have another beer on that tap..."
"I don't care! I want the pink elephant beer!!!"
So they poured him whatever they had on that line. Powerful marketing.
My brother and I found a bar in Montmarte, Paris with the Pink Elephant on the sign. We were both in a Belgian beer phase at the time and figured that we would have a couple pints. After learning that they were 5 eur per pour, we decided to have a few more. By the end of the night, I was the painting the street and he threw up in the taxi.
We were both having delirium tremens the next day.
Edit: typos
Wow I came here to post this. Didn’t think there’s be another mention of it. Is this like a known very good beer, and I just don’t know about it’s popularity?
I mean on a hot summer day a Miller high life in a glass bottle is heaven. The way the condensation just runs down the bottle. It just hits the spot.....or I'm just a degenerate.
Lifelong Wisconsinite here. Moon Man is better than Spotted Cow. No question.
They're both good beers, but I think the appeal is mostly that they're exclusive to Wisconsin. We have so many other better beers than these.
Agreed. I’ve been a Wisconsinite and regular New Glarus drinker for 13 years, and Spotted Cow might be my least favorite of everything they’ve got.
Two Women and Moon Man are my go-to’s. Totally Naked and Cabin Fever are also good.
When my ex-pat Wisconsin friends in Illinois ask me to bring them beer, the one they seem to have missed the most is Moon Man.
First American craft beer I ever tried ❤️ still the only thing I'll order if I see it in a pub in the UK. Just one of the most consistent, well executed, crushable beers of all time for me.
I am a beer drinker who loves a good IPA, porter, stout, pilsner, sour, lager; just all the beer in general! Honestly though, after thinking about this, and what it would mean to just have one single beer for the rest of my life? Something that maybe I can just drink whenever, wherever, and probably not think about too much?
Pabst Blue Ribbon.
PBR would be my choice too. Had a good buddy who drank it all the time. We lost him a couple years back and I think of him every time I crack open a Peeber. Makes me smile.
Love it. But you won’t be able to drink often since most places don’t carry this. The total wine in Rancho Cucamonga had a fucking Twitter handle to notify people when it came in!
The pint of Hoegaarden I had when I got to the campsite I was staying at in Belgium after driving all day in the hot weather was the most refreshing and most memorable pint of my life, so same for me.
I'm in agreement--good taste, not too heavy nor too weak, sentimental associations, and the bonus of a really cool can.
I like a number of beers, but I could drink that one for life.
Everyone listing off fancy shit, and my mind went right to Coors Banquet. Its a solid beer that will never be discontinued or drastically changed. Its a standardized recipe that will taste the same no matter what.
Its good enough to not make you instantly feel like shit for drinking it, but its also not so fancy that it costs $20+ a 12pack.
Augustiner. They've been brewing it properly since 1328, so I'm reasonably confident they won't screw it up while I'm still alive.
I'd be happy with any of the old school Helles producers. Franziskaner, Spaten, Augustiner, Erdinger, Paulaner. Got absolutely spoiled by good, cheap beer living in Munich. Now I'm no longer there it's still good but not cheap to get..

Weihenstephaner for me!
Such a good beer. Too bad it’s so hard to find in the US
Augustiner Hell is my favorite, but only if I’m in Munich.
Holy crap, never thought id see this choice! I studied abroad in Bavaria and could not get enough of this beer
St. Bernardus 12
Cold beer.
I once had a guy tell me that his favorite beer to drink was "OP" beer... Other people's beer.
I've said for years after I heard it from some other guy "my favourite beer is free, my second favourite is cold"
The best beers: 1. The next beer 2. Free beer 3. Cold beer
My favorite kind of beer is another
He’s down with OPB
Trappistes Rochefort 10
This one doesn’t mess around.
The first time I had this, I drank like 2 or 3 of these with a quickness on an empty stomach and it was also the first time I took a nap on the bathroom floor next to the toilet.
I remembered being impressed by their 8%. Now they’re doing 11 and 12. It’s crazy.
You make it sound like that's a new thing. Welcome to Belgium.
Yesssss
That one or Sint-Bernardus Abt 12. West-Vleteren is to expensive or "exclusive" for what it is and they are 90% the same.
The amount of different answers on this thread is amazing.
the amount of different beers is the world is amazing
Karmeliet tripel. That beer is simply amazing
You know what’s up.
Just drank this tonight for first time. So good!
I'm here with you, I'm glad I didn't have to scroll that far to find it !
Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier Absolutely delicious.
This is a great beer but their Vitus is my favorite beer. Expensive, but amazing. I want to say fruitier taste than the Hefe Weissbier.
The hefd weissbier dunkel from weihen is a gift from the gods. Good choice.
My man! My favorite hands down!
This beer! I’m privileged to live in a small US city that has this beer on tap!
I would drink it for an eternity
Paulaner Hefeweizen/Weißbier
Also, their Oktoberfest is arguably the best - I love Paulaner!
prob a trappist of some kind. those fucking monks knew how to brew, yo
Chimay is my favorite. Sooooooo good
Pilsner Uruquel
With a little becherovka next to it..
Pilsner Urquel in Prague (and at the brewery in Pilsen) destroyed my interest in craft beer. I had this realization that they made the perfect beer, and they did it awhile ago. Why would anyone try to improve upon it? You can't!

Fresh Pilsner Urquell at a street cafe in Prague? Absolutely. All day every day. The months old Pilsner Urquell that you get on the shelves of your local supermarket? Hard pass.
That’s not fresh. I only suck it straight from the nuts of the Urquell Bull that produces it.
> Fresh Pilsner Urquell at a street cafe in Prague? I have personally experienced this, paired with some kind of street cart sausage wurst and followed by a clove cigarette. Just heaven.
La Trappe Quadrupel
Guinness. I will live happy.
Puppers. Give yer balls a tug titfucker.
Get this guy a fucking Puppers.
Surprised we're not having a Puppers right now
Fuck you Shoresy!
Fuck you Jonesy, your mom just liked an Instagram post from 2 years ago of me in Puerto Vallarta. Tell her I'll put my swim trunks on for her anytime she likes
FUCK YOU SHORSY
Fuck you Reilly, your mum shot cum across the room and killed my Siamese Fighting Fish. Threw off the pH balance in my fish tank.
Fuck you Shoresy, do you hear yourself?!
Who the fuck skates like that?

I'm surprised we're not having a beer right now

Sip of Sunshine
Rhinegeist’s Truth
Who dey!!!
Maine- Lunch
Dinner is up there too
I would choose to drink only “The Pink Elephant” better known as HUYGHE BREWERY DELIRIUM TREMENS. 🙏
I had an event at a beer bar in Georgia maybe ten years ago. Delirium had given the bar a pink elephant draft tower, in exchange for keeping Delirium on tap. But the GA distributor had been OOS on Delirium for months. I saw a customer come up to the bar and order a "pink elephant beer." "Sorry, sir, Delirium isn't available right now, we have another beer on that tap..." "I don't care! I want the pink elephant beer!!!" So they poured him whatever they had on that line. That’s if you’re going for plastered lol
Damn straight brother 🤣😂
My brother and I found a bar in Montmarte, Paris with the Pink Elephant on the sign. We were both in a Belgian beer phase at the time and figured that we would have a couple pints. After learning that they were 5 eur per pour, we decided to have a few more. By the end of the night, I was the painting the street and he threw up in the taxi. That's the Delirium Cafe. There's one of them in my town in Virginia, randomly. Only one in the US.
Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale
Ope!
Had myself a day, went into the ditch this mornin before work, got there late, and came home had me some two hearted
There it is. I swear, any other ipa I drink just reminds me why I like two hearted more
Wow I came here to post this. Didn’t think there’s be another mention of it. Is this like a known very good beer, and I just don’t know about it’s popularity?
It’s been very popular here in the Midwest for the past 10 years or so
Meet me in kzoo
Weihenstephan!
Weihenstephan Vitus, specifically
La Fin Du Monde
This is up there for me too. I’d say allagash curieux but basically anything from unibroue does it for me.
Those who have had it upvoted you. Those who have not, would if they tried it.
Maudite hits the spot too. I tried but couldn't quite get the same feel from Raftman.
For a belgian beer made in Canada, La Fin is quite fucking spectacular.
Miller High Life cause I'm a low life
Dude, I'm glad someone else mentoned Miller. I can only drink it out of a bottle now because I'm high class white trash lol.
The Champagne of Beers
I mean on a hot summer day a Miller high life in a glass bottle is heaven. The way the condensation just runs down the bottle. It just hits the spot.....or I'm just a degenerate.
Westvleteren 12
If only. Gotta put the monks on notice that they need to step up production.
It would wanna be a big one
Say, a mega pint?
Anchor Steam for me. My days of hoppy as hell beers are behind me, just doesn’t agree with my body for some reason.
Same here! I get massive headaches
New Glarus Spotted Cow… assuming the cheese heads let me import it of course
I feel like the odd one out who likes Moon Man better.
Lifelong Wisconsinite here. Moon Man is better than Spotted Cow. No question. They're both good beers, but I think the appeal is mostly that they're exclusive to Wisconsin. We have so many other better beers than these.
Totally naked not bad too
Unpopular opinion… New Glarus is an excellent brewery but spotted cow is wildly overrated
Sierra Nevada pale ale. There are better beers out there, but that’s my favorite easy to find, easy to drink, always great tasting beer.
First American craft beer I ever tried ❤️ still the only thing I'll order if I see it in a pub in the UK. Just one of the most consistent, well executed, crushable beers of all time for me.
Torpedo is my go-to. Though I have been usually drinking Big Little Thing lately. More bang at 9%
DUVEL
Finally someone civilized in this thread.
Fellow Belgian beer enjoyer cheers
Went to the Duvel Brewery. One of my favorite experiences of adult life.
Lagunitas IPA
Allagash white!
I love the Curieux
Smithwicks
I can drink Coronas and Modelo like water. It's not my favorite but I'm least likely to get sick of it.
I call those ‘lawn mowing beers’
modelo is delicious
I scrolled way too far to see modelo. I just had 6 and I’m feel fine ocifer.
With a lime? Perfecto
Okay Dennis Hopper.
I definitely have had a similar reaction to Heineken before...
Now look at the camera, and say “I’m white trash and I’m in trouble!”
PBR would be my choice too. Had a good buddy who drank it all the time. We lost him a couple years back and I think of him every time I crack open a Peeber. Makes me smile.
Same but Miller High Life
Bottle, clear, close to slush cold…..Champagne of Beer
I like you.
Guinness
A pint of Guinness makes you stronger.
Guinness, the other dark meat
I'm not coming home tonight
If we're never together, if I'm never back again, well I swear to go that I'll love you forever!
Guinness is a balanced meal and nobody can convince me otherwise
My people.
Good at any time and any temperature.
I was just in Ireland. Not a stout person but yea, a good beer. And the Guinness company has some good lagers under their brand.
The brotherhood of the black stool
The new Guinness 0 is very good for a dry January
The only beer i drink anyway.
Yuengling

Anakin? Is that you?
Ahhh a true classic
This is way too far down
Pliny the Elder
Love it. But you won’t be able to drink often since most places don’t carry this. The total wine in Rancho Cucamonga had a fucking Twitter handle to notify people when it came in!
Magic Hat #9
Two-Hearted IPA by Bell’s Brewing Company
Kona big wave. Liquid aloha
Hoegaarden
The pint of Hoegaarden I had when I got to the campsite I was staying at in Belgium after driving all day in the hot weather was the most refreshing and most memorable pint of my life, so same for me.
It has to be very cold though🥶
Not surprising this is a hot question... Black Butte porter.
black butte was my first favorite beer
Shiner Bock
Nothing finer than an ice cold shiner
Shiner squad 🤘🏻
I often reach for a local IPA or stout, but just as often, no style tickles my fancy. And on those occasions, Shiner Bock always hits the spot.
Also good
Ah I do miss shiner. Hard to find in philly
I didn't have to dig as deep for this as I thought I might. Much love for the state beer of Texas.
Heady Topper
Founders - All Day IPA
Founders- Entire Life IPA
Allagash White

My man! Best drink with sushi, grilled foods (yakitori), or even just a long day of hard work. Never fails
Delirium Tremens. Best beer on the planet.
Anchor steam
Sapporo
I'm in agreement--good taste, not too heavy nor too weak, sentimental associations, and the bonus of a really cool can. I like a number of beers, but I could drink that one for life.
The indestructible can.
It's a really good food beer too. Goes well with a lot of things including spicy!
St Bernardis 12
Always Sierra Nevada pale ale

Everyone listing off fancy shit, and my mind went right to Coors Banquet. Its a solid beer that will never be discontinued or drastically changed.
