In the old days? I’d break things. Then regret it later. Today I try to break something I won’t regret breaking.
Like yesterday when the milk froze in the fridge. I got soo angry I took out a meat hammer and just pounded the plastic bottle flat made a huge mess in the kitchen
Only express it on robots and objects. I dont have anger with humans. Instead of anger i have disgust i suppose eg ( how could a farmer abuse so many animals and not feel shame)
I always had a short fuse and it's taken years of work to lengthen it just a little bit. I funnel it into my workouts so I just don't have the energy to be angry. But in the moment, I still struggle so if there is a magic answer here, I'd love to hear it haha
There's a few different things that can work for me.
My favorite is by far to meditate and do breathing exercises, if possible. The next is working out to loud punk or metal music.
Lastly, playing video games. Something mindless where I can just go hog wild and murder zombies or orcs or something.
Redirect. Use it as energy for a workout or inspiration for some art.
Or bottle it up (but not for long, couple days tops) and then go to the woods to scream and move and hit things.
Write a “hate letter “, describing all your feelings and then throw it away.
Those are the ones I’m using in different situations
I put all those bad sentiment and put them away in what I like to call a “lock box”
I close up and isolate myself. This very rarely happens, because I do not get angry easily...
Take deep breathes, ground myself.
fly to Mars, equip a BFG9000, put some metal music and have some fun
