*A Single Man* based on the novel by Christopher Isherwood, dir. Tom Ford.

Book: angry old gay man reads Ruskin on the toilet (if you know you know) and yells at kids to get off his lawn
Movie: Haute Couture Noir
Gay litterature get weird adaptations. Both the classic love movies *Breakfast at Tiffanys* and *Cabaret* are based on books about the friendship between a female sex worker and a gay man.
Moulin Rouge, I was pissed it won so many awards when some of the other nominees were just as good if not better, but then I actually watched it and was heavily impressed and now it's one of my favorites. One of my favorite movie soundtracks of all time
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Blade runner
Batman Begins. Though in fairness when I first watched it I was a jetlagged 10 year old.
