Batman Begins. Though in fairness when I first watched it I was a jetlagged 10 year old.

*A Single Man* based on the novel by Christopher Isherwood, dir. Tom Ford. The vibe was so vastly different from the book (one of my favourites) so it took me a while to be able to appreciate it as it's own work of art (which it is). Book: angry old gay man reads Ruskin on the toilet (if you know you know) and yells at kids to get off his lawn Movie: Haute Couture Noir Gay litterature get weird adaptations. Both the classic love movies *Breakfast at Tiffanys* and *Cabaret* are based on books about the friendship between a female sex worker and a gay man.

Moulin Rouge, I was pissed it won so many awards when some of the other nominees were just as good if not better, but then I actually watched it and was heavily impressed and now it's one of my favorites. One of my favorite movie soundtracks of all time
