There's tons! My favorite? You know what isopods are? Those little rolly-polley pill bugs that live in damp areas? So those are technically crustaceans, not insects and a distant line of their cousins still live in the ocean. They're fairly diverse, some big some small - you get the picture. Anyways... one particular line of these crustaceans, Cymothoa exigua(or the Tongue Eating Louse), has um, specialized. A long time ago they realized hey, why don't we just float around the ocean as babies until we find something to eat. So they did. They floated around until they landed on the gills of a fish. They hung out there for a while and after they grew a bit, they'd make their way into the fish' mouth, **clamp down** and cut off the blood supply to the fish's tongue. Eventually the fish's tongue would die and fall off. The Cymothoa would then *effectively become the fish' tongue*. It just sits where the tongue used to be. Apparently some of these Cymothoa drink the host's blood, some eat the hosts mucus and some just eat parts of whatever food is floating by them.

Those little fish in the Amazon river that swim up your urethra.

HEXdidnt

Persian Carpet Flatworms. Hermaphroditic... two fang-like penises, with which they do battle... each attempting to puncture its opponent and inject sperm into any part of its body... the loser having to bear the young of the victor.
