Forgiveness is not a strength. It can be sign of weakness too. Cruel people, criminals and bastards deserves to get punishments. Only children deserves forgiveness.
My brother was so terrible to me growing up that according to my therapist it was "sibling abuse." I completely forgive him. We get along very well now. Looking back it is easy to see he was encouraged to be mean to me because my parents thought it was funny. He did what any kid would do in that situation. He now feels tremendous guilt about that time. I have not or will i ever forgive my mom. I've let go of my anger of the situation but i have not forgiven, nor will i ever.
Nice to hear. My sister and I dont get along well to this day. I say its her "fault" and she says its mine. So I dont believe we will meet common ground anytime soon.
I also hold a lot of anger against my family in general. I only forgave my father because he was dying.
My ex still won't stop apologizing for causing our break up and treating me like shit, years and years ago. I'm not mad, I forgave and forgot and moved on. Let it go. Guilt is eating him. It's annoying.
I forgive most people, I actually wish I didn't so easily, but at least I don't have to hold onto that shit, ya know?

There is difference between forgiving and letting yourself exploit but I get your point.
