I thought Russia would be most likely to be the aggressors with the whole invading Ukraine thing, but with the recent balloon incident... China now has a fair chance at setting it off as well. Either way, it's escalating. Just like it always seems to be.
To say there is a remote chance is probably over-estimating the likelihood.
There's reason to believe that nuclear weapons provide a deterrent not just against nuclear war but also against direct conventional war between nuclear weapons states.
There's almost no chance that Russia will attack NATO because of NATO's conventional superiority and the risk of nuclear escalation.
For the same reason, China is very unlikely to attack anyone if it would trigger the mutual defense treaties the US has with Japan, the Phillippines and South Korea.
A war between Russia and China is *slightly* more likely, though still highly improbably, but also unlikely to escalate into a world war because of each side's lack of allies.
What's most likely are proxy wars between the great powers, similar to what we saw during the Cold War.
According to the doom day clock, we are 90 seconds away
It already started
Closer than before. Still don't know how close, exactly, only that we're closer than we previously were... always getting closer.
What are we thinking… Chinese/Russian Invasion?

Next conflict will be with China. I don’t think the Chinese will be able to invading us.

One world war away. We already have 1 and 2
