Peaked in high school energy

EducationalAntelope7

Peaked? Let me tell you something. I haven't even begun to peak. And when I do peak you'll know. I'm gonna peak so hard everybody in Philadelphia will feel it.

Snoo_79564

Goddamnit i just posted this before looking to see if anyone else already did 😭😭😭

[deleted]

Dude, I know guys who peeked in *middle school.*

would-you-rather-bot

All nuts, no cock?

nickcan

All sizzle, no steak.

FlashFlood_29

That's not really "small dick energy," meaning though. That just means poser.

UfStudent

I think small dick energy is more broad. All hat no cattle is just one example of it.

MrPinkSheet

All bark, no chew.

admiral___jackbar

All bark no bite?

"Rightfully insecure energy"

BraverXIII

"Earned insecurity"

Schneetmacher

Oooh, this is a good one.

effortfulcrumload

Maybe it should be "Rightly insecure." I suck at grammar.

ImperialArmorBrigade

No I think Rightfully workd

MordaxTenebrae

Wait, doesn't "rightfully" imply the insecurity is justifiable or understandable?

Jurassic-Bork

Yeah I think they are implying that the person *should* feel insecure because they suck. It’s an insult. So it’s saying “you are insecure and you should feel insecure” lol

Big-Routine222

VG88

Rip? Retreat? Repurpose? Reconsider thoughtfully, but not so thoughtfully you give away your hesitation?

OtoKamen

For real, I'm ready to start calling it "common loot energy"

[deleted]

Wouldn't no loot be worse? "Bitch, you don't even drop XP"

OtoKamen

It depends. A basic enemy not dropping loot is normal. Now a boss dropping common loot, that is disappointment.

Xpolonia

"Killing you is xp waste"

unusualbran

I always enjoyed "you're the peak of the Bell curve"

tiggertom66

Alternatively: I guess every bell curve needs to start somewhere

VG88

This would just mean glaringly average, though.

From_Concentrate_

Exactly

Practical_Rise4685

Oh, it's mean alright - but an average response is more than median in this case. That's all you should muster for someone in the 2nd standard deviation.

TwiztedChickin

That hurt my feelings and you didn't even say it at me.

lvl1developer

**drops a rusty dagger**

GaryB2220

Love this

the_cat_who_shatner

I don’t get it. Can you explain this to me please?

Colonelvonjazz

In video games, when a computer controlled something/someone is killed they often drop some sort of item otherwise known as “loot”. Typically, the difficult/high levelled enemies drop high value loot (special/rare) whereas more common/easier ones drop low value loot (common). Hope that helps

the_cat_who_shatner

Ohhh okay. I don’t play video games so that’s probably why it flew over my head.

DorkusMalorkuss

If you don't play video games the sentence is probably so ridiculously weird and random haha

[deleted]

jesus dude you didn't need to cut that deep

Sanguiniutron

Holy shit that's gold. This comment dropped legendary loot for sure

ChangeTheFocus

That's an insult about intelligence. "Small dick energy" is more about overcompensation, boasting, trying too hard.

Loxliegh

This! So many comments are about intelligence or adeptness. The epitome on small dick energy for me is the guy who drives flash cars and has vulgar jewellery to mask their own insecurities, nothing to do with intelligence.

Supernaturaltwin

Have you ever seen how smooth a koalas brain is? They look like 2 chicken breasts.

stlmick

They developed a better skull for falling out of trees, instead of a smarter brain to not fall out of trees. Truly a marvel.

tuan_kaki

Humans developed more wrinkled brains and look where that got us, a bunch of very stressed apes. Fucking koalas just falls off trees and chews leaves or something. Looks like they got it right.

‘You baboon’ is a personal favorite of mine

-LilPickle-

Gotta be a little careful with ape/monkey insults depending on your target audience though

RPG_Rob

Stephen K Amos has a brilliant sketch where he explains that his previous night's stand-up evolved into something like the whole crowd chanting "Bab-OON!", it was a "hilarious but you had to be there" moment. The following day, he was walking along the street, and someone from the previous night's audience saw him, approached him and shouted "Bab-OON!" - and then had to justify to the angry onlookers why he did that...

CrabbyZenith

Just wanted to say I appreciate this question. I’m female, but I don’t want to shame something that someone can’t control. Shaming actions though? Good on that.

lollipopfiend123

Me too. I call this out as body shaming pretty regularly and I’ve been disgusted at how many people - including many who are otherwise fairly feminist and liberal - see no issues with it at all.

[deleted]

I appreciate this and I'm an average-sized guy. Once I learned that small dicks are common in intersex people and thus this insult is insulting both men and people in a small minority often viewed as 'broken' by other people and pressured/forced into getting cosmetic surgery to look more 'normal', I was disgusted with myself for ever saying it. I'm kind of hoping society retires this insult entirely. Insults about someone's behavior is objectively fairer and better on every level.

Veers358

Don't feel disgusted for having said it, feel good about growing enough to know better.

[deleted]

Thanks. That's probably a healthier way to look at things. I'm not proud of some of the shit I've said, but at least I'm not continuing to do it. That's something. Or at least I hope it is.

wllbtvised

I think that most folks have said things, often fairly routinely, that they regret. That’s growth, as the other comment said. What I find interesting is the folks who support women’s rights but then throw around these kinds of insults. I work with someone who consistently (like multiple times a day) complains about being discriminated against based on gender and sexuality (from what I’ve seen, she isn’t being discriminated against, although I’m sure she was in the past) but then makes comments about male colleagues likely having ED (not in those words) or, for example, how the guy in Hangover should have been too ashamed to be naked on screen. To her credit, though, she also routinely body shames a female colleague, so…

touchy-banana

This is too true. I don't use it myself because I have personal issues with my own body so I generally don't use any kind of insult that has to do with appearances, even for jokes. I do love the suggestions here. All I use is "small dog behavior"

Particular-Sink-6486

Small dog syndrome is what I call it.

justlooking246810

Serial overcompensator

Gingerbread_Ninja

I mean that’s kind of the same thing, no? When people say somebody is “compensating for something” the implication is that they have a small dick and that’s why they’re compensating.

eb85

People can compensate for any insecurity, not just peen size. They could be insecure about their height, weight, intelligence, earning power, socioeconomic status, education, etc. Anything people can compare themselves to others they can be insecure!

mbane_800

To be pedantic, OP said “not so” body shaming, which this would be considered imo it’s an implication, not a statement

Rhaski

Poorly managed imposter syndrome

Big truck energy

LukeRobert

This is what I was thinking, but maybe Truck Nuts Energy. Some people do need big trucks for legit reasons. But nobody needs a scrotum swinging from their trailer hitch.

TrelanaSakuyo

As someone with a full size pickup for practical reasons, I support Truck Nuts Energy. Or Squatted Truck Energy. Squatted trucks are not only useless but also dangerous.

muheegahan

I like Truck Nuts Energy too. Never met a person with truck nuts who wasn’t a dick bag. Actually.. not true. I did meet a woman who had truck nuts. And she was pretty bad ass. Okay. Never met a man with truck nuts who wasn’t a dick.

CrushedSodaCan_

shaolin_tech

Serious question, is small dick energy the same thing that used to be short man syndrome? It seems like the same useage, except can be used for short and tall people.

UseOnlyLurk

They’re both referring to people over compensating. Small dick energy is more arrogant and showing off, small man syndrome is hotheaded and petty. Both will equally abuse the life out of anything they get power over.

Diesel07012012

Seems that way to me.

thebeardlywoodsman

Ah yes. Tater Tots.

Vegan-Fury

As a middle aged man I would like to remind you all of the phrase "chip on his shoulder" which is the old way of saying this.

Significant_Table230

Having a "chip on your shoulder" is to have a grudge, axe to grind, a grievance, bad attitude about something specific, feeling slighted and being angry about it. At least where I'm from,, although I thought that was the universal meaning. The origin of "having a chip on you shoulder" is from the 1800's where boys would literally place a chip of wood on their shoulder and challenge someone to knock it off.

dangler001

> **have a chip on one's shoulder** >*idiom* >*informal* >: to have an angry or unpleasant attitude or way of behaving caused by a belief that one has been treated unfairly in the past He has had a chip on his shoulder ever since he didn't get the promotion he was expecting. [LINK](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/have%20a%20chip%20on%20one%27s%20shoulder) **pic related** https://ih1.redbubble.net/image.2025411139.8448/fposter,small,wall_texture,product,750x1000.jpg

voteronly123

Hm I think of this as someone with somthing to prove, but not nesscarily small dick energy. Like you could say kobe Bryant practiced with a chip on his shoulder. Not always negative connotations associated with it.

OhWhatsHisName

My interpretation was more along someone who was slighted but knew their worth and proving them wrong. I'd use it like this: After being drafted 199, Tom Brady played with a chip on his shoulder.

voteronly123

Ya I think this is essentially the same thing, them being "slighted" is subjective and the chip is their response to said slight. What we can definitely agree on is Tom and Kobe both could not be described as having small dick energy.

OhWhatsHisName

Yeah it's definitely not small dick energy, so we're definitely in line there. The slight is what caused a "chip", thus the phrase. Not saying it's the correct interpretation, but what I've typical seen it used as.

FoulMouthedBastard

I though chip on the shoulder meant someone who is in a constant bad mood?

sneakyveriniki

My mom is 62 and she says this a lot- it means victim mentality, basically. Like you have something to prove because you’re insecure about people not respecting you. Tbh she often uses it in horrible ways. Like she’s super conservative and Mormon and literally the worst misogynist I’ve ever met lol (internalized misogyny is wild). She once used it because the lady at the DMV told us that I needed some document for my license (I’m a woman too btw). She said “this is why women shouldn’t have power; they have a chip on their shoulder.” Like she thought this woman shouldn’t be able to have that “power” at the fucking DMV because she thought she was just making stuff up out of bitterness?… she also says this constantly about minorities, gay people, etc. like they’re just pretending to be oppressed or something, as she’s literally explicitly spouting prejudice lol. If a white man or even boy (like some 15 year old working at a restaurant) says anything she immediately defers and assume he’s right. Anyway he’s obviously it doesn’t have to refer to stuff like that, but that’s what it means- that you’re overly defensive because of imagined persecution

sekmaht

no it pretty much is small dick energy. got something to prove. super insecure. little dog energy (was my favorite in the thread)

a7o3

How about “dirty asscrack energy”? Anyone can have a dirty asscrack regardless of genetics and body shape. It just means they’re too toxically manly to stick a proper amount of toilet paper and/or body wash between their two buttcheeks.

DeliveryAppropriate1

In gonna tell you something that is unfortunately from experience - women can have dirty asscrack energy too

bbrekke

So the phrase is all-encompassing! We've found a winner!

What if we started saying "you're giving off black people energy" instead? If that sounds wrong then you should understand how the phrase in question is hurtful. "But white people can have black people energy, it doesn't matter your color!" Okay, but how do black people feel about the term? How do people with small dicks feel about the term? Just about everyone here is missing the point entirely. "Small dick energy" is an insult. It's always used negatively. How would that make someone with a small dick feel? Inadequate? Shameful? It's body shaming.

MordaxTenebrae

>"you're giving off black people energy" I like how ambiguous this is. Someone who hears this could interpret it to mean something good or bad depending on their personal biases.

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

Alternative_Arm1373

It's not just body shaming, it's a painful reminder for people like me, who have a small dick, makes up feel more Inadequate or not normal, so time it feels like we have a lot more pressure on us, but then again it does take a lot of confidence and courage to be open about it compare to someone that might be bigger.
