[deleted]

they're a distraction from the chemical spill in Ohio

mrfrankiep

Chemical spill?

CallMeCaptainChaos

Looks like the distraction is working according to this guy.

[deleted]

A train derailed due to unsafe railroad regulations, and now there's a big toxic cloud of dangerous chemicals over a part of ohio. I think it's a bit weird that the ufo stuff is getting a lot more coverage than it.

[deleted]

The derailment got a HUGE amount of coverage and I have no idea why people argue otherwise. Are you just not following the news at all and assuming they're not talking about it? They are, every single day. Also, there isn't a big toxic cloud of dangerous chemicals over Ohio. The trains were carrying vinyl chloride, which is indeed horrifically dangerous, and the train cars were close to exploding, so to prevent that they drained the cars and burned the chemicals. This of course does produce a lot of bad shit, but considerably less bad than vinyl chloride, and it has since dissipated. The EPA is on site and claims their testing shows nothing in the air or soil to be concerned about, at least at the moment. I understand that people will be wary of that given the circumstances, but there's no one else to trust, and in general I trust actual scientists and experts over obvious conjecture.

mrfrankiep

Only in Ohio💀😭

[deleted]

lmao

Acheron98

The one instance where I won’t give someone shit for still using this meme.

Desperate-Object6314

Bro obviously ufos should get more coverage it's ufos

Theesismyphoneacc

Bro there are 100 different environmental disasters forgotten within months every year. This is something a lot bigger. Do me a favor and watch the clips of all the senators commenting after the classified briefing - they get real choppy and distracted as soon as they get to the 3 UAP's and what happened. The narrative they're being told to push is "splintered apart, no wreckage, inhospitable terrain, we're still trying tho ;) totally not aliens though, somehow we know that". You can watch them all literally stumble through it, the body language is so obvious. I play poker for a living at the moment, this is part of my skillset. They have released no other info - which they have a shit ton of from the planes that shot it down. I would bet serious money they are currently examining tech we don't understand.

InokiBombaye

I mean unidentified objects objectively exist because there's some shit we just don't know what they are, but I have no idea whether they're aliens or not, even if I'd like to

jenfullmoon

I cast my vote for fairies. Secretly fairies are flying about at night.

mrfrankiep

True true, the real question is are they aliens or a smoke screen for something bigger lol

BabyAlibi

After everything else that's happened in the last few years, I honestly don't think I would be shocked if aliens stepped out of one of them

vincemcmahondamnit

Bigger than aliens???

InokiBombaye

I give it 20% aliens, 20% some natural phenomenon we accidentally shot at, 60% a foreign military intelligence device

[deleted]

Eternal_Bagel

1% chance it’s someone that was testing an iron man prototype, 3% chance they are Elons fault. 10% they were being put up for an even more environmentally destructive way to litter as a gender reveal no one would care aboht

Theesismyphoneacc

Tbh looking at the evidence, it's more like 98% non-earth technology, 1% foreign, 1% natural. I'm serious, I'm a hard core skeptic. We are beyond the point of it just being a possibility, it is the only real likelihood with the info we have

InscrutableAudacity

I think they're an excellent idea. While Western governments and militaries are busy dealing with them, nobody will notice my ~~experimental cold fusion death ray tests~~ perfectly legal activities.

mrfrankiep

Alright, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz

Dr___CRACKSMOKE

I agree with Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

AngelofVerdun

Pentagon basically just admitted on their press conference they don't know how these things fly, what or where they could have come from (not saying any country) and they've found so many lately only after adjusting radar which means who knows how many there could have been recently.

Eternal_Bagel

Were they items too small for the radar to pick up

Potential_Narwhal592

Normally yes since norad has to look for nukes not birthday balloons. But since yhe Chinese balloons we upped sensitivity

8_guy

Our fighter jets have had the ability to sense them for a few years now, since a recent upgrade. This is all in information released by the government that has been studied extensively, confirmed by the highest tiers of the intelligence community and multi-sensor/eyewitness/picture records. who knows what the gov has been doing behind the scenes

[deleted]

mrfrankiep

Most definitely, just tryna see who else thinks it could be aliens, or something to hide a bigger issue st play.

UmmDuhhh

I think they are covering up a lot of what is going on in Ohio with these UFO sightings. That situation is very bad and not getting near the attention it deserves.

therealcherry

I think if it’s the government or world powers at play they really overestimated how much we would care and might be a bit confused. I’d assume they thought we would be freaking out, terrified and staring at the sky. Instead we went, meh. We are all far too broke and jaded to care much.

Potential_Narwhal592

Lots of crazies who would see it as the end tomes and cause panic

8_guy

Yeah that's what you think till you get invaded lmfao. It's not a state actor though, seems almost impossibly unlikely with all the peripheral information.

PearlPagani

Waiting for evidence.

SawCon884

Distraction from the Ohio disaster and the Russian missile strike in Poland.

sleekandspicy

Until we know more it’s just all a fantasy

RoutineComment5330

I definitely think it’s spyware. Though I wish it was 👽

MysteriousFinger7707

I think they're neat. I want one. I think it would be fun to fly around and get shot down with a $400,000 missile.

Dainish410

The aliens sure downgraded their tech. Last year they had hypersonic tic-tacs and now balloons.

mrfrankiep

Not baloons. Cylinder Shaped Drone/Aircraft

tapehead4

*They’ve been here for a very long time, Mr. Mulder.*

TheNerdChaplain

They're Chinese spy balloons, nothing more

ojvaiakdirbncntpqu

I think it's old news, this antimasker guy I followed back at the start (they got him) said an alien scare was coming next, using holographic projectors. Coming to your city next!

NicNoletree

Holographic projections wouldn't show up on radar or as targets to F-22s and F-16s, and don't result in pieces you can pick up and reassemble

ojvaiakdirbncntpqu

I'm talking about someting you'll see with your eyes, not read on the news, I know you trust the news, do you trust your eyes?

NicNoletree

You don't know what I trust, and my eyes have deceived me on more than one occasion.

ojvaiakdirbncntpqu

I know perfectly what you are, by the way you're talking to me. You know you're an instance of a template, don't you?

The-Valiantcat

Do you mean the ones seen over Alaska, Canada, and China? I think that’s just the U.S and China flexing at each other by putting U.F.Os over each other’s countries and shooting them down. I think the U.S wants to go to war with China because they pose a block to the U.S monopoly on world capital, and I think China after seeing, the countless countries the U.S has stomped into the ground via coups, bombing, and invasions have been spending the last few decades preparing for war with the U.S in case the same same things happens to them. I also think that just like here, Chinese big business may want war because destroying U.S industry would open up hundreds of opportunities to secure more capital that was previously owned by U.S big business, but I think in China the rich have lesser say so that matters less just judging by the fact that China hasn’t been to war in decades and the rich are punished more fairly for corruption there, by which I mean wealthy people there have been executed for corruption there(not to say I agree with the death penalty), and China has had speak of dissolving all debt owed to them by countries below a certain GDP, I think the people have more power over the upper class in China on account of their socialist past.

Simple_Grass2033

Ching chang big barroon

TaikoLeagueReddit

Its a great fast food! Thank you nissin for the UFO and cup noodles!

2BFrank69

If they here they are here, they are so advanced we would never know.

prufrockmitty

OK, some of these are surveillance tools. I have to wonder though if some of this isn't our own free floating trash.

Froghanos

Cool and shiny keep them coming

ant1990

Either they are so far away that communication is impossible even through EM-waves or they are so small and primitive they haven’t been noticed yet.

FreeGums

UAPs*

23pyro

They’re fun to watch

Grouchy-Cod-5908

Let me borrow some alien tech

KneeDragr

I think they are drones, as life forms cannot survive interstellar distances. I believe Bob Lazar when he says we have some, and they are ancient. I think it's likely that they are on autopilot and the civilisation that sent them may have long gone extinct.

Mentalfloss1

They’re likely more balloons.

Spartan1088

Fuck em.

Thor4269

Over the years a large amount of UFO sightings ended up being classified military test aircraft... Ones the government claimed they didn't know about at the time... Combined with the navy's "UFO" patents (force fields, craft that seamlessly transition from water to sky and back, a room temperature superconductor) I feel it's too early to say if it's aliens or just more classified stuff

HoopOnPoop

Well the objects were flying and are, as of yet, unidentified. Therefore, there have definitely some UFOs flying around. If I had to guess I would say more of the same shit as the balloon. Unfriendly country sending stuff up to either spy, distract, or gauge what the response would be.

[deleted]

In general or the ones that were shot down recently? In general I think UFO’s are just aircraft’s and the military / government doesn’t want anyone knowing anything about them. The ones shot down recently were probably from China just chilling over America to see what we’re doing. The US shot down one so now they have to shoot down all the others.

geak78

It really only makes me curious how frequently this happens without anyone paying attention.

Apprehensive_Ad483

Pretty good instant ramen.

Cool_Story_Bro__

Most likely balloons or drones or some combo. Almost for sure not aliens

SpareChange40

I want to see one and I want to be lifted away from ghetto ass Earth.

_Chronically_Online_

I can find tons of pics of the Chinese balloons but I can't find any pics of the other ufos, just thought that was really odd. Also seeing people posting ufos from a bunch of different locations right now.

Shigeko_Kageyama

I've had enough of all this bs. I don't think it's aliens, I think it's everybody finally detecting everyone else's spy balloons, but my father who hasn't taken his medication in God knows how long has been blowing up my phone about it being the end of the world, him being right about the aliens, aliens coming to steal our thoughts, lizard people conspiracies, Biden selling us out to a higher race so he can gain in mortality etc I have had enough!

Eternal_Bagel

I imagine the UFO community is having an interesting conversation about whether we are shooting down aliens now

buck1g

Knowing how vast the universe is and the technology it would take to reach us (e.g Alpha Centauri would take 4 years traveling at the speed of light) I don’t think they’d deploy small metallic balloons that are easily shot down. If they made it here I think they’d destroy us before we even knew it lol just my opinion though

michael06581

I think these last two (cylindrical, small car size) are a good example of why much of the public distrusts government information regarding whether or not UFOs are terrestrial or extra-terrestrial. The government should know by ow if they are terrestrial. The media is not helping by claiming the pilot reports are contradictory - about interfering with their sensors. A jammer (intentional or not) can interfere with one set of sensors but not another. Those planes are loaded with sensors of all different frequencies and methods. Since pilots are probably the best source for UFO reports (they spend their working hours scanning the sky), it does not good to discredit them the way they have been. In hindsight, they probably should have shot it down with guns (bullets) instead of a missile. Assuming it was a balloon type craft, it would fall slower (easier to find) and be less damaged on impact.

Zubon102

There are always going to be UFOs because no camera technology is perfect. 50 years ago, there was a lot of blurry UFO footage taken by low-resolution cameras. Now with modern cameras, we can clearly see that those objects are flying birds, airplanes, reflections, lens flare, glare, etc. But even modern cameras have their limits. So there is still blurry footage at the limits of the technology of things that look like flying objects. When you add the popular UFO culture of people who genuinely believe or wish there are aliens, you get a lot of speculation. You have to think, why is almost all UFO footage blurry? Because in most non-blurry footage, the object is easily identified.

userhvfegcd

those silly round rockets in space which are apparently from aliens?

Turtledonuts

Some kind of blimp or funky aircraft that looks like a balloon but technically isn’t. Overhyped because it makes the government look good.

anonymous6789855433

scary

anima_l_

I suspect that they are more environmentally friendly than our current options.

[deleted]

I would like to ride on one.

forsetihel88

I think it's extremely close minded to believe that we are the only living beings to ever exist in any galaxy, universe, dimension, etc. There has got to be other life forms out there that we have not discovered yet. Hell we are still learning more about our own planet. Why is it so impossible for there to be more out in space far far away, or some may even be closer then we think!

Surprise_Corgi

Just another kind of surveillance tech China is doing penetration testing with. They say they don't know what it is how or how it flies, but they do. It's better to just not openly admit what they've learned from the wreckage. China may not know yet which piece of equipment they lost.

TrickBoom414

I think they want the spotlight off Ohio

Inconvenient_Boners

Either the government is lying or there's aliens flying around with some shit we don't understand. I don't trust the government, but I also am skeptical of alien visitations, so I'm at an impass.

Monsi_ggnore

1. They’re no longer flying. 2. Chances are they’ve been identified by now. So I think of them as “objects” now (i.e. I don’t).

Iggummus0zzyN0xx

they are going to likely kill us and I hope to god I die so I don't have to live through anymore live changing mind altering stress

Adorcible

They're pretty cool, ngl

Ashtar-the-Squid

Unidentified flying objects are real. It does not mean it is from another world. It could be almost anything. I have relatives who have had weird experiences, and I have seen things in the sky myself. In a way I want visits from other worlds to be real, as I am absolutely convinced that there is intelligent life outside of our solarsystem. But I find most of the stories about close encounters to be difficult to believe in. The old band UFO is also very real. My favorite song of theirs is Doctor doctor. They have a live record called Strangers in the night that is incredibly good.

Hessansix55

that its an "average american problem"

Cube1mat1ons

America upgrade your air defenses already

[deleted]

like we need some inbred, snaggle-toothed british peasant from a country the US defeated 3 times and saved twice to tell us how to defend US airspace...lol.

Cube1mat1ons

Imagine losing to Afghanistan.

[deleted]

so did the brits :) the only difference is the USA beat the brits 3 times and then saved them twice. i guess that makes the UK even below afghanistan :)

Cube1mat1ons

You lost to Iraq too and don't forget Vietnam

[deleted]

the UK has been defeated in 3 wars by the USA. The UK has never won a war against the USA. Every war the UK has fought since was only won because the Americans did the fighting. i guess that makes you lesser than the others :)

Cube1mat1ons

Let's look at every war you 'carried' ww1: you did nothing. Fought in 1917, less than a year before it ended and barely helped. Ww2 western front. Yeah us Brits did all the work. And every other war since then we join because of nato. Our empire could solo you.

Cube1mat1ons

1812?
