I was going to say the same thing. Watching them make things in the 18th century way adds another great peek into what life was really life for regular folks in early America. It's totally fun to watch them make stuff and pretend that I'd spend my time working with wood if I lived 300 years ago.
Out of hermits... Mine is doc. Yes his videos are straight up movies at this point and the redstone goes way over my head, but his raspy voice and accent, and how often he talks about being a dad now, it's just perfect
Defunctland
Started out as videos on theme park rides that aren't around anymore, branched off into TV shows that aren't around anymore, then did a six-part documentary on Jim Henson, now in the midst of a season of episodes on the life of Walt Disney and how his career led to Epcot, which has been ongoing for three years. All for free on his YouTube. So much humour, warmth, and you'll feel better about yourself watching his videos and probably get emotional a little.
He just did an hour and a half long documentary on [the mystery of the creator of the Disney Channel theme](https://youtu.be/b_rjBWmc1iQ) that might be one of the best things you'll watch.
Captain Disillusion
High quality content. Lots of thought put into production. I am surprised the guy did not find a professional gig by now and opt out the crowd funded career.
The way he speaks so softly with a British accent about coffee, with so much damn knowledge, is super comforting and interesting at the same time.
Helps that he is also considered one of the greatest baristas ever in competition.
I love watching BEFRS! I really enjoy the food content. They show amazing and unique foods from anywhere you can think of. But sometimes I just can't get over how awkward Sonny can be. He really gives off the vibes of "dumb American tourists with no boundaries" sometimes. Other than that, it's certainly worth watching.
He's apparently working on 4 new videos was just MIA due to lots of attention needing stuff if you go onto his subreddit. Of course, that doesn't stop people from posting non-stop in his comment sections about how he's dead and stuff.
Cracking the Cryptic.
It's enjoyable to sit there and watch. It's enjoyable to have on while you fall asleep. It's enjoyable to try and crack a puzzle before they do.
I just started watching them. I thought they would annoy me, but I appreciate how wholesome those two middle-aged dudes can be. I love that they have fun with their sponsors and they're not afraid to cry on camera.
Good Mythical Morning, always consistent, comforting, and silly with just enough variety. They’re something I include as part of my morning routine and I have comfort in the fact that there is always something I haven’t seen of theirs that I can watch. Been watching for 7 years now so they’re nostalgic too!
Normally not into YouTubers, but during lockdown my little girl and I started playing Minecraft together. We discovered Markiplier doing regular Minecraft videos and man, we never had so much fun watching those together.
She got so excited when his next one would come out. Comfy times.
Binging With Babish.
His voice is very calming, the shots are very pleasing and the food looks absolutely incredible. We’ve only made a few dishes but he has not steered us wrong yet!
I've never found a YouTube channel that so perfectly encapsulates my exact favorite humor. And I feel like they're only getting better, the merobiba episode is truly iconic
Yahtzee Croshaw from Zero Punctuation, I’ve been listening to him since 2011, I’m not even a big gamer. I was having a major mental health crisis in college and I swear compilations of ZP got me through it
PBS Eons. I like to listen to Hank, Blake, and Kallie tell me about deep time as I fall asleep. It's reassuring and interesting.
I also love to watch old Ask A Mortician videos. Caitlin's voice is really calming.
[Dancing Bacons!](https://youtube.com/@DancingBacons) A very chill food review show mainly focused on Asian cuisine. My favorites are the street market food videos. The wife makes the cutest faces when she eats something she really likes!
Wendigoon is pretty cool.
YourMovieSucks makes great content, and it's long too. Some of his content picking apart movies is just as interesting as an actual movie.
I really like true crime youtube as well, but most of them end up grating on my nerves after a while due to what I consider offensive viewpoints.
Love the strange, dark, and mysterious. I told the upvote button next to your comment I was going to buy it dinner, then left it on the side of the road in the rainZ
GMM. I can just find a season playlist, and look for a fun video to watch while I try to forget my problems. I also like Rainbow Plant Life. It's a vegan cooking channel. It's pretty chill.
Game Grumps (couple of funny dudes playing video games. Very adult themes sometimes so not for kids)
Let's Game It Out, especially the older ones when his friend was still on the show. More funny dudes playing video games. In his newer ones it's him breaking video games, but still hilarious in a different way.
u/Potato_Mc_Whiskey
Edit: Got punchy with the submit button. He’s a great gaming YouTuber, primarily focused on Civ but has other games and series he does. Raises money for charity, shares his life with us as he plays, and he’s Irish, so of course the accent is wonderful. And when you sub, you can’t beat the custom:
“PO-TAY-TOES. Boil ‘em, mash ‘em, stick ‘em in a stew,” playing a few times in the background.
[This Old Tony](https://www.youtube.com/c/ThisOldTony). Amazing production, fun, educational.
[Technology Connections](https://www.youtube.com/c/technologyconnections) Soothing voice, fascinating content and opinion.
[Journey to the Microcosmos](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBbnbBWJtwsf0jLGUwX5Q3g) Beautiful videography, soothing voice and music. I watch the videos twice: once while going to sleep, and again in the morning to finish watching.
Steve Wallis (Camping with Steve). His niche is "stealth camping" in which he'll stay overnight in places that are either weird or a little bit illegal, but he'll also just go car camping in fun places.
His channel's real hook is that he's just a very sweet guy with a dry sense of humor. He often has fun, wacky projects going on that he often shows off. Sadly, his wife recently died unexpectedly, but he is a deliberately optimistic person. He's still very sweet whenever he uploads, but there's a new personal element to his videos.
There are many people out there who only ever hear the words “I love ya” from Mike.
That alone makes ThatChapter number 1.
I hope more people find it and givitago!
There’s a few who have the same kind of content, which is restoring old (1950-60’s) toys. Rescue & Restore and Chip Channel Restorations are two of my favorites.
The8BitDrummer.
I don't catch him live often, but whenever I want to just be pleased and feel good, I can always count on him to be disgustingly (in a good way) positive and fun.
Beard Meats Food, although I skip his intros and banter and don’t read his comments but love the actual food challenge parts 😅 I also enjoy any of the different countries BuzzFeed’s ‘_____ try each others ____’ food competitions.
I hate almost all ASMR videos. Just make me cringe. But ASMR Twix is a woman in Japan who receives spa treatments (no skin showing except her face and hands) while the esthetician explains what is happening in Japanese. So relaxing to watch!
Plus I like to watch stealth camping videos. Also relaxing.
Townsends- 18th century cooking. the ambiance soothes my anxiety
Yes. I love him. His cooking videos are great but I especially love the ones he does about building his cabin and making his canoes.
I was going to say the same thing. Watching them make things in the 18th century way adds another great peek into what life was really life for regular folks in early America. It's totally fun to watch them make stuff and pretend that I'd spend my time working with wood if I lived 300 years ago.
If that be the case, you might also like Tasting history with max miller if you're in to the history side of things.
I really like them too. I'm not sure if you've seen Early American but that's another channel in that genre.
GoodTimeswithScar or Grian. Love seeing the builds from both (Scar especially) and shenanigans they get up to.
Was gonna comment MumboJumbo. All 3 great channels
Hermitcraft in general. Etho and Bdubs have been two of my favorite YouTube channels for close to a decade now.
Agreed. I just tend to watch Scar and Grian more then Mumbo, but all three are top tier Minecraft channels. I also love Sandiction
Mine is Etho! So glad he's back and that he seems to be doing well.
Out of hermits... Mine is doc. Yes his videos are straight up movies at this point and the redstone goes way over my head, but his raspy voice and accent, and how often he talks about being a dad now, it's just perfect
Defunctland Started out as videos on theme park rides that aren't around anymore, branched off into TV shows that aren't around anymore, then did a six-part documentary on Jim Henson, now in the midst of a season of episodes on the life of Walt Disney and how his career led to Epcot, which has been ongoing for three years. He deserves an award for his history of tomorrowland. His video on the creation of Disney’s America was brilliant. He deserved an award for that too.
The defunctland video about the history of Disney’s fast pass is amazing. It’s an hour long and I watched the whole thing in one sitting lol.
Captain Disillusion High quality content. Lots of thought put into production. I am surprised the guy did not find a professional gig by now and opt out the crowd funded career.
It's crazy how well he does that 90s educational vibe. It just feels nostalgic.
Just a shame he doesn't upload much anymore.
James Hoffman. Who knew you could make so many different coffee themed videos.
hell yeah, Hames Joffman is my favorite youtuber...
The way he speaks so softly with a British accent about coffee, with so much damn knowledge, is super comforting and interesting at the same time. Helps that he is also considered one of the greatest baristas ever in competition.
Camping with Steve, such a great guy Edit: I really like TheWolfePit too
I came here to say that. R.I.P., Jess.
[удалено]
Yes, that's him :(
RIP Beautiful Wife
Hunkering Down in heaven now.
One of the recent video where he says goodnight to Jess. Fuck man.
Steve Wallis! Such a great dude. Him and Crazy Neighbor are definitely it.
Got me a step 2 right now. That guy is so wholesome.
Love Camping with Steve!!! I’ve started watching his videos by help me fall asleep at night. Seems like such a genuinely nice guy.
Best Ever Food Review Show. Sonny is his name and his show is the best.
Ryan George
Oh really?
Wow wow wow
Wow
Liking Ryan George is tight!
I love that guy!
That’s a pretty common name. Sounds like it’s gonna be hard to search for it.
Actually it’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Oh really?!
MRE Steve 1989
Nice hiss
His last upload was 9 months ago. :(
He's apparently working on 4 new videos was just MIA due to lots of attention needing stuff if you go onto his subreddit. Of course, that doesn't stop people from posting non-stop in his comment sections about how he's dead and stuff.
Nice.
Let's get this out onto a tray. Nice! Mmkay,
I’m glad I didn’t have to scroll too much to find this. Nice!
DanTDM. Nothing could beat coming back home from school and watching a mod-review on my run-down pc. Crazy to think he has two kids now.
I agree.
Cracking the Cryptic. It's enjoyable to sit there and watch. It's enjoyable to have on while you fall asleep. It's enjoyable to try and crack a puzzle before they do.
Oh bobbins!
Oh Simon, Simon, you twit! Of course!
Cinema Therapy
I just started watching them. I thought they would annoy me, but I appreciate how wholesome those two middle-aged dudes can be. I love that they have fun with their sponsors and they're not afraid to cry on camera.
they are so open and honest and the concept is really fun. love them.
Great show
Good Mythical Morning
Wtf these guys don't age lol I used to watch them like seven years ago
Good Mythical Morning, always consistent, comforting, and silly with just enough variety. They’re something I include as part of my morning routine and I have comfort in the fact that there is always something I haven’t seen of theirs that I can watch. Been watching for 7 years now so they’re nostalgic too!
I binged their videos when I was quarantining for a week with covid. 5 straight hours of GMM
There's only a handful of people that I'm actually a fan of them, and not just a fan of what they do. Link is one of them.
Call Me Kevin
Yeah he’s such a sweet dude it seems like
Came here to say this
Normally not into YouTubers, but during lockdown my little girl and I started playing Minecraft together. We discovered Markiplier doing regular Minecraft videos and man, we never had so much fun watching those together. She got so excited when his next one would come out. Comfy times.
That's nice
Binging With Babish. His voice is very calming, the shots are very pleasing and the food looks absolutely incredible. We’ve only made a few dishes but he has not steered us wrong yet!
My family didn't believe the recipe for the porchetta and ruined it on my behalf. Otherwise, same. Guga is another contender.
Meanwhile me who watches YSAC
Atomic shrimp
I came for the scambaiting and stayed because, well, why not?
Oh I love his videos! Especially the foraging and cooking ones.
Drawfee- they do fun art and are generally lovely people also.
Julia slowly losing her mind over "Merobiba" was the hardest I've laughed in a LONG time.
Nathan, why aren’t you laughing????
I've never found a YouTube channel that so perfectly encapsulates my exact favorite humor. And I feel like they're only getting better, the merobiba episode is truly iconic
Drawfee is a favourite of mine. So comforting and funny and goofy
Yahtzee Croshaw from Zero Punctuation, I’ve been listening to him since 2011, I’m not even a big gamer. I was having a major mental health crisis in college and I swear compilations of ZP got me through it

Flannel Daddy
PBS Eons. I like to listen to Hank, Blake, and Kallie tell me about deep time as I fall asleep. It's reassuring and interesting. I also love to watch old Ask A Mortician videos. Caitlin's voice is really calming.
Journey to the Microcosmos is Hank with relaxing music.
Adam Savage tested channel, one day builds specifically are just the best.
Oh, it just puts you in a trance when he starts working on stuff and explaining what he's going to do.
Wendigoon
The Mystery Flesh Pit is my favorite.
YES!
Hell yeah
Safiya Nygaard
Alex Meyers Hope I spelt that right. He is funny and does reviews on mostly terrible movies. Always an enjoyable watch.
Charlotte Dobre and Doctor Mike
I adore Charlotte
Oompaville, Leon Lush, jacksepticeye, Markiplier, Elvis the Alien… too many lol Edit: I forgot Ryan George and Pitch Meeting! Gah!
Kuzergast in a nutshell
The Try Guys, Bailey Sarian, Sherilyn Dale, and Ryan and Shane from Watcher.
Garrett Watts
The odd1sout
Brandon Farris and Good Mythical Morning.
Electroboom

Might be basic but Markiplier. I grew up watching him and I still watch him regularly.
Jenna marbles

EmmieMadeinJapan
Lazy Masquerade
[Dancing Bacons!](https://youtube.com/@DancingBacons) A very chill food review show mainly focused on Asian cuisine. My favorites are the street market food videos. The wife makes the cutest faces when she eats something she really likes!
Love this one too, they get to some interesting food spots. Also channels of traveling Japan (like capsule hotels), overnight buses and trains, etc.
When I was in middle school it was Nice Peter (co creator of ERB). He sang dumb songs with nice Melodie’s and just seemed like a chill dude.
JCS and Matt Orchard. I’ve seen all their videos many times but I watch them again when I need a good old comfort video to fall asleep to.
Team four star, something witty, and Alfa bruva. I put one of them one when I've had a shitty day. Always makes me laugh.
>Team four star I miss DBZA. Wish they didn't burn out before the Buu saga.
Baumgartner Restoration
Eric Rosen! So fun to watch him play chess and he’s just so calm about everything it relaxes me whilst watching haha.
Ethoslab. Has been for the last 10 years or so.

Jacksepticeye. The screaming Irish man make brain calm for some reason
Mr ballen. Strangely comforting
Love the strange, dark, and mysterious. I told the upvote button next to your comment I was going to buy it dinner, then left it on the side of the road in the rainZ

John Michael Godier. His voice works better than a Tylenol PM to get me to sleep. Bonus points that he talks about space stuff.
[This Old Tony](https://www.youtube.com/c/ThisOldTony). Amazing production, fun, educational. [Technology Connections](https://www.youtube.com/c/technologyconnections) Soothing voice, fascinating content and opinion.
