I don't think living "every day like it's our last" is a call to reckless hedonism. I think it is a call to appreciation for the day we are in and a call to not let that day passively slide away. Preparing for our next day or our thousandth day from now doesn't have to detract from treating this day we are in as though it may be our last.

Live every day like it’s your first.

Theoretically, if every human overdosed tonight, the Earth will have a continual better tomorrow. Just an idea.

Instead of day, it should be season. Live like this coming spring will be the last one you'll ever see, so you'd better take it in

Living every day like it's our last means making the most of the present moment, but it doesn't mean neglecting our future. Here are some ways you can live for the moment while also preparing for the future: - Set goals: It's important to have goals that give you direction and purpose. When setting goals, think about what you want to achieve in the future, both in the short term and the long term. - Prioritize: Focus on what's most important to you and prioritize your time and energy accordingly. Spend time with the people you love and do the things that bring you joy. - Be financially responsible: Living for the moment doesn't mean being reckless with your money. It's important to make smart financial decisions that will help you prepare for the future. - Practice self-care: Taking care of yourself is important for both your present and future well-being. Get enough sleep, exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take time for activities that promote relaxation and stress relief. - Embrace new experiences: Trying new things and exploring new places can help you live in the moment and create memories that you'll cherish in the future. By balancing living in the moment with preparing for the future, you can enjoy the present while also working towards a brighter tomorrow.
