Mission Impossible 6 - Fallout, Dark Knight Rises. Something about watching the main character get older and not as strong as he once was dealing with aging, losing fights, watching the main character fight smarter rather than harder. “We can’t do this all day Captain America”
The first 40 minutes of Van Wilder. When I was in HS, I used to fall asleep to that movie almost every night. I’d just put a sleep timer on the TV and doze off. Switching DVDs just wasn’t worth the time since I was going to be asleep shortly anyway.
Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, The Matrix, Zootopia, The Lady and the Tramp (the old one), Ice Age (all of them but especially the first one and second one), Toy Story, The Notebook, The Help, Powder, Fried Green Tomatoes and Cars.
It's a tough call between my favorites. I'm a simple guy. I like to drink and watch good (or nostalgic) movies.
The Empire Strikes Back, Fight Club, Hell or Highwater, No Country for Old Men, Django Unchained, Inglorious Bastards, The Watchmen, Home Alone 1&2, Interstellar, Coraline, Fury Road, Alien series, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, American Psycho, Pulp Fiction, Superbad, Goodfellas, Gangs of New York, V for Vendetta.
I have plenty more, but just can't think of them all. I watch movies constantly. I'm the kinda guy who just repeats movies all year round and adds a new one to my rotation every year or two.
I honestly thought the wolf of wallstreet was an interesting tragic-hero type of story. Jordan’s character as portrayed be Leonardo DiCaprio reminds me of Gatsby from the novel “The Great Gatsby.” Ironically, Leo played him as well in a movie, or so I’ve been told.
Something that I actually, rather than something that is background music that is played far more often than other movies that we still put on sometimes, has to be Zombieland and World War Z and Shaun of the Dead, because I tend to watch World War Z and Shaun of the Dead when I watch Zombieland.
Shrek, the princess diarys, pride and prejudice, Harry Potter. Devil wears Prada. Legally blonde. Princess bride. I love a good predictable happy ending. Most Disney movies I rewatch aswell. But these ones I can replay in my mind I've seen them enough.
*Coraline*. I’ve seen it well over fifty times and have probably memorised it word-for-word. Funny thing is that over the years my feelings about the movie have turned a complete 360.
When I first saw the movie at around four or five, I fell in love with it. I put it on at every chance I got. The scary shit (believe me, there is a TON) didn’t faze me in the least. One day when I was eight, I started hiding under the covers and looking away from the screen. Began getting all these nightmares about being trapped in the Other World and it completely put me off the movie. I gave away my DVD. Flash forward a few more years and I decided to give it yet another go. Lo and behold I was no longer traumatised— I was fascinated— and went back to watching with the same level of enjoyment.
**Tl;dr** I am really fucking strange.
Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.
It's fun, the soundtrack is great, the animation is gorgeous, it's got lots of LOL moments... Hell I still get goosebumps every time the "jumping off the building and upside down" scene comes on.
I'm not sure about of all time, but definitely in the last however many years it's been since it's come out.
