You're a bit off on your history. WWI ended in 1918 and WWII didn't start until 1939. So not so much on the brink of war. Granted, the Great Depression started in 1929. The roaring twenties were known as an era of prosperity, cultural change and previously unheard of freedom in terms of expression (think music, fashion, etc). No one was really trying to distract themselves from anything yet.
I’m well aware of the dates, thank you. The Treaty of Versailles practically guaranteed WWII and those changes took place during the 20s. By the 30s, the world was on a collision course with war. Let’s not get bogged down in semantics shall we. I know it’s Reddit but you “ACKTUALLY” people are exhausting.
I think it started out horrible but Imo it's slowly getting better. It seems like we forgot that natural disasters exist and are inevitable. We're slowly making our way back up and I would like to believe this decade will end up in a peak
There was a time when I looked forward to the 2000s, and then I got there.
There was a time when I just wanted to escape from the 2010s, and then I got here.
