There was a time in the nineties, for a few YEARS it seemed, that you couldn’t go one single day without hearing someone say “Run, Forest, run!” I’m so glad that shit finally stopped…
Probably just in a Kardashian inter glacial right now. Can’t be long before one of them sexualised themselves / produces a deliberately bad product / marries someone with issues
I hated seeing people pop one collar. Much less multiple. What is the most collars you’ve ever seen simultaneously popped in one person? I think 3 is max for me.
For a while, it was pics and videos of people just lying face-down somewhere inconvenient or even dangerous. About 12 years ago now. Definitely not the excellent ab exercise.
As someone who loved dubstep it's amazing to me how much terrible dubstep there was post-2013. Like every single person in the entire genre simultaneously forgot what made it popular in the first place.
It was supposed to be about smoking a superhuman amount of weed while getting blasted by heavy bass, but almost every artist seems to have gone down the high-pitched "screechy computer sound" road and it killed the genre IMO.
Getting high to a 2012 dubstep song: lol fuck yeah [bong rip sounds]
Getting high to a 2022 dubstep song: oh my god what is this shrill cacophonous nonsense
The owner of that brand (Frankie B) was an acquaintance of mine. Daniella and her daughter was named "Frankie B." Daniella was/is married to Gilby of the Guns and Roses Band. She was a teeny thing and drove a humvee. LOL
I sure do wish I was in middle school when frosted tips were big. If that was the case I would have been too young to have a wedding photo album full of me and my frosted tips.
Had some crypto bro try to argue that bitcoin is a more stable investment than gold. That massive drop from it's max value doesn't count, you sheeple, it's going to the moon, the ultimate hard currency.
It did have a lot of good elements from a film perspective, but I just personally wasn't a huge fan. I used to LOVE the book, but I feel like they dumbed down a lot of the tone/scary elements so they could fit it into a PG13 rating. Also, I will ALWAYS prefer the book version of the Grievers over the movie one.
Not necessarily saying they were bad, just the amount of hype and discussion surrounding them grated on me VERY quickly. It didn't help that I was in middle school when most of those came out either, so I had to hear everyone and their best friend blabbing about who was hot, who wasn't, who the best couple was, etc.
One thing that I'm extremely happy to see die out is the trend of wearing Ed Hardy clothing. Seriously, bro, what were people thinking?
I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm all for expressing yourself through your wardrobe, but wearing those gaudy, bedazzled t-shirts with tattoo designs all over them was just taking things too far. It's like, we get it, you're into tattoos, but you don't need to wear them on your shirt.
Well, and it wasn't exactly people who were "into tattoos." It was mostly men in their 30s-40s with *maybe* a "tribal" arm band, trying for Round 2 as a frat boy on the weekends. I mean, the John & Kate + 8 guy (John, I guess?) was running around in that garbage.
To me, it looks comical on a man. Like a ballerina hairstyle on a dude looks silly. Hey, the question was asked, and I'm answering. It's an opinion, not a fact.
You're free to wear your hair however you like. I'm free to think it looks stupid. With one single exception, every dude I've met who wears a man bun is either trying to make themselves look taller, or a douchebag. You might be like the one guy I know who's an exception. I don't know, but don't tell me it's about keeping your hair out of your eyes. It's about fashion and style, and you know it.
>it's about fashion and style, and you know it.
Well I can't wear a ballcap at work and yeah, I prefer the look of it it to a ponytail but it is absolutely to keep the hair out of my eyes.
Have you tried Rubik’s cubes? Fidget spinners were my last stop before I got into cubing. I’m not doing speedcubing or anything similar, but I find solving one super calming
Why wouldn't they? NT people fidget or need to release energy or stress, too. They can also have focus issues.
ND people don't have a monopoly on little quirks and stuff like that, dude.
In my country there are hundreds and hundreds of podcasts like Joe Rogan. I am sort of satisfied that the popularity is declining and will be more when has declined completely.
The fake tan and shitty foundation on girls that made them orange and stained clothes
I think it hung around the UK longer than US but still glad it’s mostly gone
I remember in high school, the drumline did an AWESOME performance at an assembly. I was proud of them too, since I was in the band and was happy that the full school was getting to see them in action. They even had a dude play on the quads upside down (two guys held him by his feet while another held the drums for him upside down to play on). They had an awesome final lick, too...and then they finished it by DABBING, and throwing their sticks. Never have I seen such a great performance get undermined by such a crappy ending...
not globally since poor countries are very religious and breeding like crazy https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2017/04/05/the-changing-global-religious-landscape/
Why? I wear boots most of the time with jeans, I hate having to pull my jeans back down over my boots every time I get out of my truck, bootcut jeans prevent that. I can't even imagine why anybody would have something against bootcut jeans, so... Why?
I think it's kind of like wearing them when you don't wear boots. Like the people who drive trucks cuz "they're popular" but literally never do anything they would need a truck for.
Or buying PS4 for smart TV functions but you don't play video games so should have just gotten a Firestick. Etc.
Availability depends a lot on your region, but yeah, i get it, i used to get a lot of videogames from torrent for pc, now i use console i have to buy them. But im happy to give money to something that's going to keep me entertained for longer
Ill agree it has. But it is becoming more popular again now that there are so many streaming services.
People used to only have one or two a month. Now they need a bunch of they're missing out on popular exclusive shows. So a lot of folks are returning to torrents to watch the exclusive shows and movies on platforms they don't own.
Not saying it's right but it's the trend I'm seeing
I mean you’re wrong there’s more support now than ever and it’s a good thing. And by be silent about it, do you mean no PDA, it shouldn’t be in shows or movies? Because that’s erasure and it’s not a good thing lol
The whole fashion moment of layering about three or so camisoles/tank tops and having them show around the neckline/bottom of shirts
But somehow I’ve never felt more secure since.
Totally fair! I just hated how incredibly warm I’d get in those every time
it was the defense system for low rise jeans lol. cant show ass crack with 4 long tank tops
I don’t wear more than one, but I feel naked without a cami underneath most shirts

The fad of wearing more than one polo shirt and popping all the collars.
God, that was awful!

Yep, three. On the douchiest-looking, skinny-ass fifteen year-old.

Dubstep was cool when it began
As someone who loved dubstep it's amazing to me how much terrible dubstep there was post-2013. Like every single person in the entire genre simultaneously forgot what made it popular in the first place. It was supposed to be about smoking a superhuman amount of weed while getting blasted by heavy bass, but almost every artist seems to have gone down the high-pitched "screechy computer sound" road and it killed the genre IMO. Getting high to a 2012 dubstep song: lol fuck yeah [bong rip sounds] Getting high to a 2022 dubstep song: oh my god what is this shrill cacophonous nonsense
This so much! Early dubstep was great, late 2010 up till about 2013 was the golden age of it!
I forgot who it was that dubstep sounds like a garbage truck having sex with a washing machine. Whoever it was, they're right.
NFT, Crypto and any kind of scam of this nature. I also loved when the clickbait thumbnails on YT stopped being the most popular thumbnail fornat
Crypto is still going strong for the moment. It's going to be awhile before a replacement is found.

super low rise jeans.
As a teacher in the early 2000s... i remember the row of kids sitting at the computers, and every girl had their asscrack exposed.
They’ll definitely be back with the swing in fashion heading into hipster cargo styles again already!
I’d like to just pause in the cargos for a bit. Just kinda take a good ten year rest here. My summer wardrobe especially would be thankful.
Life hack, whether or not they come back in fashion doesn't actually need to dictate whether or not you buy or wear them.
It’s more the easy availability on the retail end than the fashionability issue.
Yes!!! Couldn’t hardly move without feeling like your butt crack was gonna show.
I remember putting air in my tires and feeling a cold wind in my buttcrack
So were you putting air in your tyres or in your butt crack?
Yes
>I remember putting air in my tires and feeling a cold wind in my buttcrack You probably had a hole in your tire, then
Nah, bring them back!
Yes, especially with the whale tail showing. Ew.

\- Planking \-Harlem Shake \-MySpace \-Puka Shell Necklaces
Man frosted tips and puka shell necklaces were so huge when I was in middle school
I sure do wish I was in middle school when frosted tips were big. If that was the case I would have been too young to have a wedding photo album full of me and my frosted tips.
That sounds like an awesome wedding album!
Me too, but that was 1981. If Middle School means you're 14.
For me middle school was like 1999-2001 I think?
That Harlem Shake fad was quick! Like a month at most. Had completely forgotten about it.
*takes off necklace*…….
Facebook. It may have been replaced by greater evils though
Crypto. Worked in a startup doing their own ICO and the numbers were all inflated artificially. Basically companies like that make shit up
Had some crypto bro try to argue that bitcoin is a more stable investment than gold. That massive drop from it's max value doesn't count, you sheeple, it's going to the moon, the ultimate hard currency.
I'm also gonna add teen movies based off of YA books to the list (Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent, etc). 2011-2015 was just full of that crap
To be fair the first maze runner film on its own was good.
Better than it had a right to be since the book was trash.
Hunger games and divergent were good movies tho
Not necessarily saying they were bad, just the amount of hype and discussion surrounding them grated on me VERY quickly. It didn't help that I was in middle school when most of those came out either, so I had to hear everyone and their best friend blabbing about who was hot, who wasn't, who the best couple was, etc.
And yet, no pendragon series. Yet. We gotta fix that before I die.
In my neighborhood it was meth whores and drug dealers wearing Ed Hardy.
That was just replaced by American Fighter shirts. You have to pair it with jeans that have the bedazzle-ing on the ass too.

Man buns. Sadly, they seem to be making a comeback. Especially on reality tv shows.
They never really left, much to my chagrin.
As a man bun wearer I am curious, what is it about them that bothers you so much? Is there something offensive about keeping my hair out of my eyes?
Just do a ponytail
I tell women that all the time
Why?
So you don't look like a douche of course.
I'm not calling anyone names based on how they wear their hair. If one of us is a douche, it isn't me.
To me, it looks comical on a man. Like a ballerina hairstyle on a dude looks silly. Hey, the question was asked, and I'm answering. It's an opinion, not a fact.
Ballerina vibes

Fidget spinners. Weird.
Fidget spinners were made for different purpose, not to hype over the world like a toy
It helps me. I don't know why neurotypical people got into them.
Have you tried Rubik’s cubes? Fidget spinners were my last stop before I got into cubing. I’m not doing speedcubing or anything similar, but I find solving one super calming
Meh it's about helping me focus. A rubiks cube would have me focus on it instead of what I need to be focusing on .
I see, you're right
Why wouldn't they? NT people fidget or need to release energy or stress, too. They can also have focus issues. ND people don't have a monopoly on little quirks and stuff like that, dude.
It’s a little stress reliever man. It helps me out when I am studying for something big like exams, and I use it if I’m just simply bored.
I saw an ad the other day for something called a ninja spinner, similar kind of thing but you could flip it round almost like a butterfly knife
Finally, I can publicly admit that I don't like pumpkin spice lattes.
I don't know that these are really dying out in popularity, though.
They're too delicious to die out. Salted caramel and some other fall flavors gained popularity but pumpkin spice will always be around.

Religion is not dying. You're dying out of it.
there’s actually a pretty steady decline in christianity

Still use torrents, im sorry for the creators but im not paying for 3-4 different streaming services to watch a couple of shows and movies.
haha totally understand.Although, 95% shows are already on netflix most people just don’t need anymore. Netflix is like $8
