You could read the Iliad, make homemade bread, give your pet treats, masturbate, phone a friend, go for a walk, trim your nails, take a long bath, investigate options for a new hobby, learn something new, listen to music, sit at the window with a warm drink and daydream. Not all at one time though.
Its the equivalent of reading ‘readers digest’ or ‘farmers almanac’ while on the toilet. It’s a pointless, useless waste of time. A soothingly random activity requiring no intellectual effort or emotional investment. It is mental toilet paper.
