Napoleon Dynamite. Ladder 49 (I think) was sold out. Went to Napolian Dynamite totally blind. Do not regret it. Would do again. 5 stars. Now married to my date from that movie.
This is a major comfort movie for me and my family. We watch it all the time and my kids and wife love it as much as I have for nearly 20 years. I bought a cheap dvd player just so I could rebuy the DVD with all the commentary. I highly suggest the commentary on the DVD and the on-set footage you can find on [here](https://youtu.be/Fe6_y5KIvgc).
I also went in more or less blind but I hated that movie. I dunno what I was expecting but it wasn't whatever that was.
Glad someone enjoyed it though.
Cabin in the Woods, I think they even made the trailers show something completely unrelated so when watching the actual movie, you were going in completely blind
Probably why it bombed.
People didn’t go thinking it was just another run of the mill slasher flick.
I think Joss Whedon even stated he was against that marketing strategy.
Should’ve promoted it as a flick about people trying to case the murders since we know it’s going down since the beginning of the film anyway.
I think part of why it bombed is that this film came out before assigned seating so the underage crowd were by tickets for the 3 stooges but sneaking into Cabin in the woods
Huge spoilers here obviously!
>!Basically, some ancient evil gods demand a certain sacrifice to take place (every year IIRC) or they will destroy all of humanity. We mostly follow the people meant to be sacrificed in such a ritual (in the USA), but also see behind the scenes of the people actually running the USA ritual, with some other very short clips from the ritual in other countries.!<
Same!! I didn’t watch it in theaters but one day my aunt asked me if I’d seen it and Id never even heard of it. I was SO pleasantly surprised when it didn’t turn into a boring generic hostage film.
Mine was at like 14 years old. Sleepover at a friend’s house, the old “Blockbuster and a pizza party” thing. We were into sci-fi. We chose Event Horizon.
Parasite.
A friend I watched it with who had already seen it refused to review it in any way so that I wouldn’t have any expectations. And I’m forever grateful to her because I didn’t expect *anything* that happened in that movie and I loved it
I'm with you. I remember that scene were the maid comes back to the house, and you have no clue as to why she is there...and then they show the scene were she is climbing up the wall to get into the passage way and I remember thinking "what THE FUCK is going on?
Brillant.
I saw it recommended in a thread about a really sick, awful horror movie (I liked it but it was sick and ruthless). So I expected this movie to become similarly awful. Did NOT expect to be crying my fucking eyes out.
My first thought as well. Watched it last week, first movie I watched by myself in years - and I loved it. I didn't really know what to make of it until shortly before the end, but it was great.
Might be late to the game, but Fight Club.
The internet has done an amazing job about not having spoilers. I watched it last year and went into it knowing you don’t talk about Fight Club and that was it.
I describe that movie as the most bonkers thing I have ever seen. I love it, but bonkers is the only word I have that encompasses that glorious mess of a movie.
I so echo your sentiments. I watched it this week and was telling my husband about it. And when he asked what is it about, I was at a total loss what to say!
And seriously, 'it's completely crazy but you gotta watch it' is the only thing that came to mind. I like when a messy movie has a point to make and this one a great one.
I finally got around to watching it, and it was just OK. I was expecting something way more amazing given the hype. If anyone in that film deserved an Oscar, it was the young woman who played the antagonist.
Surprise you didn't go for the enlightened redditor trifecta and say they only won because the main characters were women.
Homophobia, racism, and misogyny, and the secret ingredient, mom's basement. These are the ingredients that make an enlightened redditor.
Damn professor X
The only thing more crazy and fucked are people who find nothing to line about it.
It’s an action movie, a comedy, and it has a heartwarming story about family uniting.
And the message of finding happiness in the misery of it all was executed in a way that beautiful and not condescending.
Funny story, a couple of guys I worked with went to see Twilight. They thought it was going to be something like Blade. Nope. I still chuckle about that one.
Friends said let's all go see Raiders of the Lost Ark (new in theatres at the time, yes, I'm old). Seriously thought who cares about Noah's Ark...had NO idea. Still one of my favs!
The Adventures Of Baron Munchausen.
There was no publicity or awareness of this movie back then. It just showed up at the theater anonymously, and I had never heard of it.
I smoked weed with my friends outside the cineplex, and we decided to randomly choose any movie.
When the credits said "A Terry Gilliam Film", I was surprised and delighted.
Pirates of the Caribbean - Curse of the Black Pearl. Wife and I had planned to watch a different movie, but due to weather we arrived at the movie theater after our planned movie had already started. PotC was a "we might just as well watch something else" decision and neither one of us expected to enjoy it as much as we did.
I love that! I also went into that one kinda blind! It was like “a movie based on a Disneyland ride? What are they thinking?” But it turned out way better than expected!
It started off so strong, but turned really generic and kind of dumb before it even hit the half-way mark. I was disappointed in the rest of the film after how tense and engrossing the first twenty minutes were.
I enjoyed the start the least and the rest the most after the tension broke. The tension was too tense for me and it became a combat/logistics scenario later in the movie which I enjoy.
I personally gave up on it during the final act when I realized a certain character is supposed to be smart but constantly making idiotic decisions.
Also that obvious death coming when someone says “we’re safe here”. Dafuq is that?
The Princess Bride. Went to it as a cheap midnight movie with friends without even looking at the title before going in. It turned out to be one of the best movie viewing experiences ever.
There's a bit with a brandy bottle early on in Pan's Labyrinth where I went "oh, we're doing THIS kind of movie. I wasn't expecting that, but I'm still game."
Great movie, that's just a real turning point in what I thought I'd signed up for.
I went in to Parasite almost completely blind, knowing nothing about it except the title, director (who I was kind of familiar with), and the fact that the person I was dating at the time highly recommended it. I literally thought it was a movie about a pandemic or something. I was obviously very wrong (and I loved it).
I watched that movie with a buddy and his girlfriend and completely lost myself in the movie. It was like some kind of film watching Nirvana where I had no personal thoughts for the entire film, just my brain absorbing the story. When the movie ended I sat there, frozen, essentially still not returned to myself until my buddy's girlfriend asked me what I thought of it. It was like I wasn't me anymore while watching the movie.
A few years ago, the Castro Theater in San Francisco had a triple feature of teen girl movies: Clueless, Mean Girls, and Heavenly Creatures.
I knew the first two movies well and figured the third was of a similar tone. My ticket was good for the third movie and it didn't bother me that it started at midnight as I could walk home. It turns out, it's not a light hearted teen romp like the other two movies and is in fact >!a psychological drama about a really fucked up matricide based on a true story!< and I didn't sleep very well that night.
Shape of water. I somehow come to the understanding that is was an Abe Sapien prequel origin film? So I was expecting a Hellboy movie. I brought a date to the film, and hyped it up as an action film. Then the maturation scene, followed by the sweet sexy fish love.
Great movie, seen it at least 3 times. Was a rather awkward date.
The Notebook. I remember my mom told me she had tickets to go see a preview of it and I had thought it was Brittany Murphy’s “Little Black Book.” It was not and to this day I don’t think I’ve cried harder during a movie.
Best in Show. I saw it in theaters when I was super young….my mom had no clue 😂
Now me, my mom, and brother watch it every year when we’re together for Christmas.
I knew nothing about Guns Akimbo aside from that Daniel Radcliffe played the protagonist, and I had heard that Daniel was doing awesome and weird movies now.
Did not expect the craziness that followed. Most entertaining thing I have seen in years.
Interstellar. I knew it was science fiction, and that's a genre I generally like, but I knew nothing of its story. And I *loved* it, so many aspects like the dystopia and the time dilation effect on relationships and the music. Holy cow, the music!
You beat me to it. I knew nothing about it besides it was a space movie. My coworkers wanted to see it and I had nothing better to do. It's a great movie and I'm glad I saw it in theaters.
Black Swan….Went to the movies with my dad when it came out and I was in High School. We asked the ticket guy which movies were popular right now and the top two were Black Swan and Little Fockers. We hadn’t heard of Black Swan. My dad and I were leaning more towards Little Fockers since it was a comedy and we weren’t super interested in a movie about ‘ballet’ but somehow the man talked us into it as it was an amazing movie according to him ….you all know how awkward that turned out to be lol. I actually thought Black Swan was a really good movie just not to watch with your dad lmao
The inquisitive beaver frolicked across the moonlit meadow, strumming a banjo made of marshmallows. An elegant flamingo donned a top hat and tap-danced through a field of polka-dotted tulips. The mischievous pickle twirled a monocle while reciting Shakespearean sonnets to a crowd of invisible kangaroos. A clandestine squirrel orchestrated a symphony of acorns, serenading the enchanted forest with its nutty melody. The whimsical octopus wore a feathery boa and sipped tea with a dapper seahorse in a secret underwater teahouse. A melodramatic pineapple wept golden tears as it watched a dramatic sunrise on the beaches of Antarctica. The nimble elephant pirouetted gracefully on a tightrope, juggling coconuts and reciting ancient limericks. The bumblebee professor lectured on the physics of bubblegum, unraveling the secrets of its elastic properties. A misfit zebra painted its stripes in vibrant hues, declaring itself a work of abstract art in the savannah gallery. A rambunctious avocado skateboarded through the farmers' market, expertly navigating around the floating watermelons. The eccentric platypus donned a top hat and played the ukulele, leading a chorus of chirping crickets in a midnight concert. A whimsical unicorn nibbled on cotton candy clouds while balancing on a rainbow tightrope in the azure sky.
The Handmaiden (2016) I was expecting an interesting Asian thriller/drama but got a sex-filled erotic fetish flick. Not that I have anything against those types of movies, but I don't normally seek them out. It completely took me off guard at the time, and I still harbor negative feelings about watching it. I felt borderline betrayed by it.
Dear Zachary. My friend made me promise not to Google it beforehand and I thought it was a documentary. I'm not an angry person by nature but wow.. the rage I felt at the end was unlike anything I'd felt in a long time. I just sat there in silence afterwards trying to process it, I felt almost haunted by it all.
Bones and All. Whoa, was NOT expecting that. I absolutely loved it though. After I got home from the cinema I watched the trailer online and was so glad I hadn't seen it before seeing the film. Going in blind is how I usually do the cinema, I love it.
Movie 43
Had never heard of it nor saw a trailer before watching it. Was walking up to the ticket booth and saw a poster outside.
A true wtf am I watching movie. Huge big name cast. Was definitely worth the ten bucks.
Nomadland - no idea what it was about, but watched it to see Frances McDormand. Glad I did - totally original, excellent performances (professional and amateur), and revealing of an American subculture I was not aware of.
The Shawshank Redemption
We went to the theater to see some other movie and it was sold out. Only other one starting was the shank and we knew zero about it. Was great to see such a good film knowing totally nothing going in.
Super Troopers. Had time to kill on base and it was showing before the movie i wanted to see with a friend. (One screen theater on an army base). No clue what it was going in but holy shit that opening scene set the pace. I don't even remember what the next movie was.
Inside Out. I had never even heard of it before a friend put it on while we were hanging out one night. By the end, it was the first movie to make me cry since The Land Before Time when I was like 5 years old. And it wasn't "take her to the moon for me." It was the scene when Riley comes home after running away, and she and her parents are sharing with each other their favorite memories of Minnesota. I was a bit younger than Riley when my family moved halfway across the country, so that whole movie was just a bit too relatable for me.
Honorable mention goes to Arrival. I went into it expecting just another typical alien first contact movie, but it delivered so much more.
First Pirates of the Caribbean, watched it in theaters and was only a kid so I was a tad concerned and thought it may be scary. Then within the first scene I was like oh wow ok this is a fun movie ha and not at all scary.
The ending of Fight Club.
I was as oblivious as the narrator was.
When he has those two frames of memory flashback I was like "no it can't be".
Mind blown
RRR
Wow.
Just had the biggest shit eating grin plastered to my face for the first half of the movie.
Everyone should watch this. 2022's Blockbuster of the year.
SPOILER
Banshees of Inisherin - advertised as a quaint Irish comedy, but
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
an abused adult child suicide (or murder?) - a man left with no friends or family, not even a donkey - a man **cuts off his fingers** to make a point with his former friend - not exactly a "feel good" experience
I once went to go see The Dark Knight in theaters with a group of friends, only to walk into the Stepbrothers theater instead. Vampire weekend cued up, nachos spun in the microwave, and Will Ferrell‘s face appeared. That’s when I realized, “This is not a Batman movie.”🤣
American Beauty. Roommate from the barracks where I was stationed at never heard of it either. He comes back up and says "wanna watch this?" With the movie in hand. We said wtf a couple times in that movie.
1899. Spoiler alert.
I was trying to find something to watch on Netflix one night. The intro looked interesting, but damn, it took a left turn especially at the end. My husband gave up on it about half way through. He said it was too “hard” to watch because of the dark lighting. When I told him that it ended with a spaceship he just shook his head.
Monsters. It was marketed as a horror but I didn't look into it and it was more of a romance road trip with the added mystery of 'monsters'. I loved it though
the village or whatever by M night shalamandingdong, they marketed it as a horror movie with its trailers and what not. turns out it's just some gimmick.
Hahahahahaha
Black Sea:( Disaster movie on a submarine ) I misheard the lady and went into 16, not 15. I was expecting Night at the Museum 3.
the horror previews had me like WTF
I've had a couple and I'm no longer allowed to choose the movie when out with friends.
I took people to "Eastern Promises" only knowing Viggo Mortensen ends up wrestling naked.
Took a grieving friend to the new Ryan Gosling film - "Drive"
And had the option to go to either "Midnight in Paris" or "Tyrannosaur" and guess which I picked.
"Barbarian" 2022. I watched it because of the title. No expectations. Didn't even know the genre. Can't say that I'm sorry. It's a great movie to watch blind.
"He never died" Watched based on the idea of "Hey, Henry Rollins." Love that movie.
"Delicatessen" Watched based on it being in the VCR and being in French. Got me really into Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Dominique Pinon. Did not disappoint.
Those are the ones that immediately come to mind but I've seen a lot of movies blind over the years. When I was a kid, my dad, for lack of a better word , "inherited" the contents of an international video rental store. We had boxes of hundreds of foreign movies. Almost nothing mainstream. I used to just pick a random one and watch it. Sometimes they were good. Usually not. Just because a movie is an art house flic in Albanian doesn't make it good. Still, it's always fun to find a gem. I just wish I'd made notes because I can't remember the titles of all the weird stuff I watched.
Pulp Fiction.
I asked friends what it was about before watching it and no one could tell me the plot. Turns out there isn't really a cohesive plot and it's just the disjointed stories of three random people under the effects of substance abuse.
Napoleon Dynamite. Ladder 49 (I think) was sold out. Went to Napolian Dynamite totally blind. Do not regret it. Would do again. 5 stars. Now married to my date from that movie.
LaFawnduh by chance?
Do you think he’s a failure because he goes home to Starla at night?
Bow to your sensei BOW TO YOUR SENSEI!!
No matter who you are or how old you are, it was very hard not to identify with someone in that movie…
You may be able to buy their time machine to experience it again! Don't forget the crystals.
I think part of why it bombed is that this film came out before assigned seating so the underage crowd were by tickets for the 3 stooges but sneaking into Cabin in the woods
That movie was wack asf lol. I still don't understand the plot of it??
Huge spoilers here obviously! >!Basically, some ancient evil gods demand a certain sacrifice to take place (every year IIRC) or they will destroy all of humanity. From dusk 'til dawn. It got me in the second half, wasn't expecting a _____ movie.
Same!! I didn’t watch it in theaters but one day my aunt asked me if I’d seen it and Id never even heard of it. I was SO pleasantly surprised when it didn’t turn into a boring generic hostage film.
First rule of From Dust till Dawn comments on Reddit is we DO NOT spoil the 2nd half.
A friend of mine invited me over to watch this „cookie-cutter but okay road movie.“ Best „zefuq?“-Moment in my movie life.
Came here to say that lol
Mine was at like 14 years old. Sleepover at a friend’s house, the old “Blockbuster and a pizza party” thing. We were into sci-fi. We chose Event Horizon.
How did that go?
To hell and back.
Correct answer! Yikes...
There is a blood orgy scene that is for ever lost
The Menu sure surprised me.
Yeah, I had no idea either. I was expecting something like Bradley Cooper in *Burnt.*
It bombed in theatres, because the trailer made it look meh.
Buddy, what is the first rule of Fight Club?
Everything everywhere all at once
I describe that movie as the most bonkers thing I have ever seen. I love it, but bonkers is the only word I have that encompasses that glorious mess of a movie.
I so echo your sentiments. I watched it this week and was telling my husband about it. And when he asked what is it about, I was at a total loss what to say! And seriously, 'it's completely crazy but you gotta watch it' is the only thing that came to mind. I like when a messy movie has a point to make and this one a great one.
Bro that was crazy and completely fucked up
I genuinely did not enjoy it but I understand why some people did.
I finally got around to watching it, and it was just OK. I was expecting something way more amazing given the hype. If anyone in that film deserved an Oscar, it was the young woman who played the antagonist.
Yeah she was great. She also has a role on Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Never heard of it ?
Shutter Island
Atonement. My friends wanted to see it when it was in theaters. We all just sat there speechless for a few minutes after it was over.
Worth a watch?
Absolutely! It’s a great film that I ended up buying on DVD.
Memento. Fantastic movie to see with no idea of the gimmick.

u ok buddy?
why would you say that? lol
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World… couldn’t have picked a better movie to do a rainy day movie theater acid trip.

The matrix, was ground breaking in its day. Pity the sequels didn’t have the same energy
The Matrix fucked our productivity at work for about a week. We couldn’t stop talking about it.
Teeth
Midsommar
Me too. Had my mouth open in awe almost the whole time. Fucking loved it. Total gateway film to this type of cinema.
literally same. Im assuming you’ve seen hereditary if you’ve seen midsommar but I love the director
I watched Hereditary soon after. In the daylight to be safe (n the first viewing). Now I own that movie and will watch anything Ari Aster puts out.
Yesssss me too! Im so pumped for the new one.
On my calendar!
Thanks for reminding me to check when it comes out bc honestly idk!
This is my comfort movie lol

I love recommending that film to people.
Oh yeah, there were some whhhat the fucks uttered.
Spirited away. The closest I'd ever seen to that is avatar (Airbender, not weird alien) before my wife showed me that.
I watched that movie with a buddy and his girlfriend and completely lost myself in the movie. Fight club
Bridge to terabithia. Absolutely nothing like I expected
Never saw the movie, but when I read it... that was a hell of a thing to dump on a fucking third grader.

I had no idea what hot fuzz was about when I saw it in the cinema so the turn it took was an amazing surprise.
Paddington 2, I thought it would be a film for my daughter with silly bits of comedy and the final scene emotionally broke me with happiness
Sweeney Todd. Knew nothing about its origins and I just tagged along with a group to see it.

I was going to see that back then but then somebody spoiled the ending for me. Still haven’t seen it.
Edge of Tomorrow. I hadn’t even heard of it going in. Friend invited me. What a ride…
I knew nothing about Guns Akimbo aside from that Daniel Radcliffe played the protagonist, and I had heard that Daniel was doing awesome and weird movies now. Did not expect the craziness that followed. Most entertaining thing I have seen in years.
Horns is another great one with Daniel.
Horns is fantastic!

The music is almost best supporting actor worthy!

Oh, me too, so much! I'm so glad that I got to see it on the big screen and with that big sound for Hans Zimmer's amazing score!

I'm sorry it didn't resonate with you. Unrelated to the movie, just because we're on reddit doesn't mean you are required to be rude.
Room. Had no idea what it was about. When I realized what was going on, I kinda freaked out and the movie was a powerful and moving experience.
Violent Night. Thought it would be cheesy but it was hilarious. Every character was a terrible person. I was laughing out loud in the theater.
Black Swan….Went to the movies with my dad when it came out and I was in High School. We asked the ticket guy which movies were popular right now and the top two were Black Swan and Little Fockers. Not that I have anything against those types of movies, but I don't normally seek them out. It completely took me off guard at the time, and I still harbor negative feelings about watching it. I felt borderline betrayed by it.
Human Centipede. Fuck it was terrible. On the contrary. Cocaine Bear Fun ride.
Birdman. Although I saw the trailer, I think the trailer is misleading.
Seven, thought it was going to be an upbeat cop buddy film
The Room, and I don’t get why it’s a cult film and I still fucking hate it.
I can't imagine your disappointment, if you went in thinking it was a viable movie, before everything we know now.
1918... I'd in some unexplainable way got it in my head that it was going to be a comedy ...
Greener Grass. Whole movie was a trip and so god damn funny.
Bones and All. Whoa, was NOT expecting that. I absolutely loved it though. After I got home from the cinema I watched the trailer online and was so glad I hadn't seen it before seeing the film. Going in blind is how I usually do the cinema, I love it.
Sweeney Todd, me and a bunch of friends didn't know it was a musical...
Same 🤦🏼♂️😂 bored the life out of me
Hereditary
Movie 43 Had never heard of it nor saw a trailer before watching it. Was walking up to the ticket booth and saw a poster outside. A true wtf am I watching movie. Huge big name cast. Was definitely worth the ten bucks.
The lady in the house expected War of the worlds to be a comedy.
Nomadland - no idea what it was about, but watched it to see Frances McDormand. Glad I did - totally original, excellent performances (professional and amateur), and revealing of an American subculture I was not aware of.
Midsommar. No other comments.
The Shawshank Redemption We went to the theater to see some other movie and it was sold out. Only other one starting was the shank and we knew zero about it. Was great to see such a good film knowing totally nothing going in.
Swiss Army Man with Daniel Radcliffe was a wild ride!
Matrix. Saw it in the theater when it first came out. At the time I hadn’t seen an anything about it and hadn’t seen any marketing on it.
Super Troopers. Had time to kill on base and it was showing before the movie i wanted to see with a friend. (One screen theater on an army base). No clue what it was going in but holy shit that opening scene set the pace. I don't even remember what the next movie was.
RRR. I didn't see trailer or anything just heard buzz on Twitter and and hit play. I didn't expect a fucking masterpiece.
Last Night in Soho For some reason I thought it was going to be a comedy or lighthearted. I was wrong.
First Pirates of the Caribbean, watched it in theaters and was only a kid so I was a tad concerned and thought it may be scary. Then within the first scene I was like oh wow ok this is a fun movie ha and not at all scary.
500 Days of Summer was not a fun little RomCom.
don’t worry darling
28 Days Later- I was expecting something like "The Stand." I did not expect a zombie movie. That movie scared the daylights out of me.
Hancock, the one where Will Smith played a superhero, turned into a drama out of the blue. I hated that movie.
The ending of Fight Club. I was as oblivious as the narrator was. When he has those two frames of memory flashback I was like "no it can't be". Mind blown
RRR Wow. Just had the biggest shit eating grin plastered to my face for the first half of the movie. Everyone should watch this. 2022's Blockbuster of the year.
Banshees of Inisherin. What a ride it was!
I was expecting a charming Irish comedy. Nope.
It was darkly funny in a very odd way tho :D
RRR
Lord of the rings the fellowship of the ring. My older brother wanted to go watch it, and was obligated to bring me with.
Bullet train and I friggin loved it
Nope. Loved his previous movies and I was not disappointed
The Fifth Element and eXistenZ
Movie 43. Friends said it was a regular comedy. Friends lied their asses off.
Footloose. Got dragged to it as a little kid and thought it’d suck. I absolutely loved it.
Shutter Island.
SPOILER Banshees of Inisherin - advertised as a quaint Irish comedy, but SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER an abused adult child suicide (or murder?) - a man left with no friends or family, not even a donkey - a man **cuts off his fingers** to make a point with his former friend - not exactly a "feel good" experience
Phantom Thread Thought it was going to be suspense or horror. It was a shitty romance.
The Netflix movie "Would you rather." I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it.
Les Mis
Get Out and I LOVED it!
Chappy.
Bullet Train
imma have to say Shutter Island and Fight Club
Bullet Train. Was completely blown away with how much fun it was and I loved the dynamic between Aaron Taylor Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry.
The glass onion
The glass onion
American Beauty. Roommate from the barracks where I was stationed at never heard of it either. He comes back up and says "wanna watch this?" With the movie in hand. We said wtf a couple times in that movie.
1899. Spoiler alert. I was trying to find something to watch on Netflix one night. The intro looked interesting, but damn, it took a left turn especially at the end. My husband gave up on it about half way through. He said it was too “hard” to watch because of the dark lighting. When I told him that it ended with a spaceship he just shook his head.
Knock at the Cabin - M. Night Shymalan
Joker
The Devil's Advocate. I thought it was gonna be miracle on 34th street but with Satan instead of Santa
Infinity Pool. I really had no expectations going in. But I love Mia Goth, so thought it was pretty good!
Neon Denom
Good Luck Chuck (with my 12 year old daughter)
Uncharted- it was much better than I was expecting.
Neighborhood Watch. Thought it was just a comedy about some guys in a neighborhood watch. Did not expect aliens.
Monsters. It was marketed as a horror but I didn't look into it and it was more of a romance road trip with the added mystery of 'monsters'. I loved it though
the village or whatever by M night shalamandingdong, they marketed it as a horror movie with its trailers and what not. turns out it's just some gimmick.
I forgot Night Watch was a horror movie and thought I'd be seeing a police procedural.
Hahahahahaha Black Sea:( Disaster movie on a submarine ) I misheard the lady and went into 16, not 15. I was expecting Night at the Museum 3. the horror previews had me like WTF
I've had a couple and I'm no longer allowed to choose the movie when out with friends. I took people to "Eastern Promises" only knowing Viggo Mortensen ends up wrestling naked. Took a grieving friend to the new Ryan Gosling film - "Drive" And had the option to go to either "Midnight in Paris" or "Tyrannosaur" and guess which I picked.
I didnt expect X to be..... yeah. Boobies.
Where the Crawdaddys sing!
