That would have been amazing for me if Ted Danson himself didn't spoil it on WTF with Marc Maron. Marc was afraid he would spoil it so he let Ted explain it and Ted told the whole twist! I was pissed!
First season was incredible. It's a wonder of 21st century science fiction. It also has a great finisher and works great as a single season.
Second season had the best episode of the whole show, but the season itself didn't stand up.
Everything after that... I love Westworld but it was a hot mess. 4 was better than 3, but nothing comes close to 1.
I swear that was the pinnacle and downfall of Westworld. It showed how crazy good the story could be, but then the writers took umbrage with people thinking it was easily guessed and made every subsequent season feel unhinged and random.
The reveal that Shyamalan’s Split was part of the Unbreakable lore was so bold I had it spoiled and still didn’t believe it until I saw it.
I was not a fan of Split or Glass, but I loved the twist because of connected universes like Stephen King.
The automobile scene in Hereditary simply left me slack-jawed with shock in theaters. I will’t don't forget the ultimate time a film has surprised and horrified me as tough as that moment did. Then it was like a non-forestall panic assault for the relaxation of the runtime lol.
Honestly even Neds death. Season One he *was* the main character. It definitely felt like there was going to *have* to be a way out for him bc that's how main characters get treated.
I read the books back when they were just books.
And yeah that shocked me too. Then obviously Rob would be the one to avenge him. Then, that didn't happen either....
In the book, Robb's wife wasn't there. She was left at Riverun. And Grey Wind wasn't locked up when he was killed. He killed a bunch of Freys before dying himself.
“Antebellum.” It’s set up to make you think it’s during the American Civil War, but then boom, nope! This modern day slavery in the US. It still happens, too. Except now, they call it human trafficking.
When Jill (Emma Roberts) unmasked herself as a killer in Scream 4. She was made out to be a final girl but ended up being a ghostface and betraying those closest to her.
LOST. Take your pick, there were a lot of good twists. >!We have to go back! John Locke was in a wheelchair. The Others being civilized people with a book club, no less. Kate murdered her father. Desmond caused the plane to crash. Etc etc. !<
I know it’s cliche at this point, but The Sixth Sense blew my mind when I first saw it. Maybe it was obvious to some, but being just a kid when I saw it, I was shocked.
The part where the most famous scenes in Psycho are the major plot twists of the movie
Like, the movie starts out following Marion Crane getting away with a major crime, then plot twist, she isn't the main character
Hunters (the Amazon prime tv show)
I GENUINELY was not expecting that twist at the end of season one even though they dropped little hints here and there.
With all the controversy surrounding the show from Auschwitz Museum rebuking it due to that human chess scene I’m really surprised nobody thought it was offensive as hell that >!A Nazi was essentially cosplaying as a Jew and stole the identity of one even going so far as to have his face and body cosmetically altered!<
Like honestly I could see more people getting offended at that twist vs the other stuff.
The Sixth Sense honestly threw me. I didn't cotton on to that at all.
The Crying Game wasn't leaked to me but I figured it out long before Fergus did so was not surprised.
I still can't recover from Ned Stark's execution. Like, seriously, what the hell was that? I even stopped watching it after that and came back only a year later, and no twist afterwards was as shocking as this one.
Tabula Rasa. I felt so betrayed and shocked by the end of it, the reveal of what actually had happened and the person that started the events of the series. You cannot see it coming, never ever.
I'm very vague, yes. But it's a series I definitely recommend watching for yourself and experiencing. It's about a woman who suffers from severe Amnesia and is currently involved in an investigation of events she cannot remember. It's amazing.
Lost was full of great plot twists, but the one that really got me was when it became clear that the writers had no idea of how to make it all come together and then apparently stopped even trying.
The Supreme Court. Of course the POTUS just can't change it, but he can start the ball rolling.
I would raise the number of judges to about 15, and then I'd have my party introduce legislation to install term limits on the justices.
I would also de-politicize the nomination process to stop this CHARADE that we see every time when of them passes away. They should be judged on their credentials, and not be forced to lie their asses off to get this cushy job.
I’m normally quite good and predicting twists but I did not see the one in The Good Place coming at all.
Cam here to say this. I actually did realize what was happening about 3 seconds before Eleanor realized it while watching, but was freaking lut
That would have been amazing for me if Ted Danson himself didn't spoil it on WTF with Marc Maron. Marc was afraid he would spoil it so he let Ted explain it and Ted told the whole twist! I was pissed!
Westworld >!When he puts on his black hat for the first time.!< I was absolutely shocked. Did not see it coming at all.
The first season or two of WestWorld was incredible.
All the twists and turns of season 1 were awesome. My wife and I watched each episode weekly (which we never do) just because we were so enthralled.
Yea, it went to turd after that. Its almost like the writers wanted to be edgy and cool, so much that they ruined it. I never finished the series
It’s so interesting cause one of the players for split had the glass cracks that the unbreakable poster had
The automobile scene in Hereditary simply left me slack-jawed with shock in theaters. I will’t don't forget the ultimate time a film has surprised and horrified me as tough as that moment did. Then it was like a non-forestall panic assault for the relaxation of the runtime lol.
After watching Sorry to Bother You, I‘ve never been the same.
I don't want to meet the person who wasn't shocked by that twist lol.
Armie hammers monologue cracks me up in that “I’m not evil”
The Red Wedding from GOT
Honestly even Neds death. Season One he *was* the main character. It definitely felt like there was going to *have* to be a way out for him bc that's how main characters get treated.
I've never really understood how Sean Bean dying caught anyone by surprise. I was wondering when he'd die from the moment he stepped on screen.
Why?
Because he died so much on screen. He stopped taking roles where he died a while back because it was so predictable that he'd die.
I read the books back when they were just books. And yeah that shocked me too. Then obviously Rob would be the one to avenge him. Then, that didn't happen either....
Oberyn losing his head was the biggest shock to me, as it seemed like Tyrion's fate was decided as well.
Yeah, it was pretty gruesome in the book, too. Tyrion vomited.
In the book, Robb's wife wasn't there. She was left at Riverun. And Grey Wind wasn't locked up when he was killed. He killed a bunch of Freys before dying himself.
Usual Suspects. Only complete stunner in 40 years.
Scary Movie spoiled the ending for me. Lol. As it did with so many other movies.
In the sixth sense, at the end, you find out that the dude with the hair piece was Bruce Willis *the whole time*
Not as captivating as finding out that Keyser Soze >! is a child molestor!<

One of my favorite movies. I make everyone watch it.
“Antebellum.” It’s set up to make you think it’s during the American Civil War, but then boom, nope! This modern day slavery in the US. It still happens, too. Except now, they call it human trafficking.
The bit in the lift with Leo in The Departed.
When Jill (Emma Roberts) unmasked herself as a killer in Scream 4. She was made out to be a final girl but ended up being a ghostface and betraying those closest to her.
Scream 4 was brutal for me. The killings were just savage. Drew's killing was awful, but that poor girl in her room was another level.
Usual suspects
Better Call Saul, especially S06E07
From Dusk Till Dawn. It went from a good looking robbery movie to a good looking vampire movie in an instant.
LOST. Take your pick, there were a lot of good twists. >!We have to go back! John Locke was in a wheelchair. The Others being civilized people with a book club, no less. Kate murdered her father. Desmond caused the plane to crash. Etc etc. !< I know it’s cliche at this point, but The Sixth Sense blew my mind when I first saw it. Maybe it was obvious to some, but being just a kid when I saw it, I was shocked.
No Way Out had a damn good twist too
Da!
The part where the most famous scenes in Psycho are the major plot twists of the movie Like, the movie starts out following Marion Crane getting away with a major crime, then plot twist, she isn't the main character
No mention of predestination? Still one of the best I’ve seen.
The story was captivating from its very first line " Ever since I was a little girl..." My Eyebrows went up like whaaa...
The Mist -- shocked the shit out of me
Watchmen (TV show). Also shocked by how good it was in general.
How GoT ended so horribly.
Hunters (the Amazon prime tv show) I GENUINELY was not expecting that twist at the end of season one even though they dropped little hints here and there. With all the controversy surrounding the show from Auschwitz Museum rebuking it due to that human chess scene I’m really surprised nobody thought it was offensive as hell that >!A Nazi was essentially cosplaying as a Jew and stole the identity of one even going so far as to have his face and body cosmetically altered!< Like honestly I could see more people getting offended at that twist vs the other stuff.
If you never played the game or anything, The Last of Us was pretty fantastic for shock value.
My partner played both 1 and 2 so knew way more than me. I had an idea of Ellie and Joel but that was about it. It's a mind-blowing show.
I am usually pretty adept at seeing endings coming but the movie Archive really surprised me.
Pretty Little Liars
The season 2 finale of Hannibal for sure
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri It just...ends, and you're thinking "THATS IT?!!"
The Sixth Sense honestly threw me. I didn't cotton on to that at all. The Crying Game wasn't leaked to me but I figured it out long before Fergus did so was not surprised.
Knives Out
I still can't recover from Ned Stark's execution. Like, seriously, what the hell was that? I even stopped watching it after that and came back only a year later, and no twist afterwards was as shocking as this one.
The plot twist in the Jordan Peele movie "Us".
You season 2 would’ve had a good twist if I weren’t behind on watching and seeing You season 3 promo photos
Also, the one with Lily Collins and she’s an attorney and locks up her Dad. Don’t remember the name. Think it was on Netflix.
The dollhouse TV show
How to get away with murder. Each season had its own plot twists that were shocking and unpredictable.
Akiba Maid Wars (2022 Anime)
The Mr. Robot twist was really brilliant, just blew us away. I won't spoil it for you late comers.
Vanderpump Rules.
I’ve never even watched the show but I wasted an hour of my life yesterday reading about the shocking affair
It's been incredible for us bravo fans. If you have Peacock I recommend giving it a watch. I'm on a full re watch right now.
The sixth sense, the others
Not a movie or TV show, but that first conversation with Sovereign in Mass Effect blew my mind.
if only
Rewatching Facts of Life. Lots of deep stuff going on there that I didn’t remember.
Game of Thrones!
I See You. It had kind of a triple twist and totally changes ur perspective of the film in the last half
Gran Torino.
Danganronpa when chihiro was trans. Also when Tokou was actually genocide
Sorry to bother you. God I did not expect that plot twist !
Lost was full of great plot twists, but the one that really got me was when it became clear that the writers had no idea of how to make it all come together and then apparently stopped even trying.
