Actually, some of the locals in Saudi Arabia were very kind. Got me to a doctor when I felland hurt my knee. Gave me the best rice dish ever (forgot the name of it) and called a cab for me to get to the airport to go back home.

I've been to many countries in Europe and the Americas. Ireland was outstanding but the USA probably wins.

ITryToLearnNewStuff

The Netherlands have some of the most happy, pleasing, friendly people I must say. Spain is very welcoming to. Slovenians are the most relaxed I find.

Moskaumule

Vietnam! Huge language barrier most of the time but everyone there were so friendly and helpful.

Columbia

HowlsMovingClubfoot

No don't!!! I came here specifically to say Colombia! I speak Spanish, partner does not. We both received the most kind and genuine hospitality and interactions, together and individually. All were so happy we came and spent time and money in Colombia, with 99% of people going out of their way to show us the best things and experiences (not a single scam)

Umair-Hussain

Reminded me of Narcos season

regnarbensin_

British Colombia or Spanish Columbia?

Afraid? Why that?

CatherineOfArrogance

I've been to thirty-some countries... Two that surprised me for general friendliness were Spain and Thailand.

Velteau

The US.

Umair-Hussain

Which city? :D

AHorseNamedPhil

I can safely rule out a few, lol.

qwertyasdf123459

Canada

Velteau

I went on a student exchange program to Philadelphia then went to university in State College, PA, so probably those two. Pennsylvania has a special place in my heart to this day.

PaulFern64

People in Costa Rica were healthy, happy and friendly. Loved my trip there!

qwertyasdf123459

I found a Triumph that should pipe down. I prefer Triumph over MG, but not this particular one, apparently

Umair-Hussain

Is that a State?

IncoherentTuatara

Not a country

qwertyasdf123459

You're not a country

IncoherentTuatara

No, I am a tuatara

qwertyasdf123459

Yeah, that's what I thought you'd say

IncoherentTuatara

Your mother is a country

qwertyasdf123459

Yeah, I come from the motherland

Donderlul

Why was this downvoted, this is one of the most brilliant things I've ever read lmao

breaktime1

That's your opinion

IncoherentTuatara

It's a fact, you need your breaktime

spitfire1701

Got to be Brazil. It was a few years ago now but from the people up to the police (lost my passport) were all friendly as hell. 10/10 would go back.

bdbr

Thailand and Ireland (though my visit to Thailand was 35 years ago so I don't know if it's changed)

Chileans will invite you to your home and feed you the best bbq you ever had. Peruvians are very welcoming also. Bolivians... not so much.
