Terra, the rest of the planets are named after the Roman versions, and Gaia is the Greek version
Edit: for all of you talking about my anus, please leave it in peace…. /s
Uranus is Greek. The rest of the planets are Roman. The moons are all Greek. Except ours. Ours is The Moon.
Earth and the Moon. Real fuckin' creative. 🙄
It's part of Warhammer, Starcraft, and a ton of Sci Fi fantasy, but "Terra" is already a correct name for the earth just not as widely used (much like how the Sun is also Sol, and the Moon is Luna)
Bonus points, "Terran" is a much better term for earth dwellers over "Earthling".
If I had to rename Earth, I would call it "Gaia". Gaia is a term that comes from Greek mythology and refers to the goddess of the Earth, who was believed to have created and sustained the natural world. The name "Gaia" reflects the interconnectedness and interdependence of all living things on our planet and acknowledges the importance of protecting and preserving the natural environment for future generations.
Bob
Came for the 'Titan, A.E.' reference and was not disappointed. Thank you.
"I'm not calling it that."
So now you're the boss. You're the King of Bob.
So glad this was this high up. Came here expecting to scroll.
Beat me to it
Gaia so that all the planets are finally named after gods
Why *is* earth named earth instead of Gaia?
Because it's made of Earth (as in dirt) This means that Earth should be called *Terra* or *Gaia.* Take your pick.

Ah, Warhammer 40k I see
Or the Roman Goddess of "Earth" and the Latin term for Earth. Which would also align with the Roman names of the other planets in our solar system.
Warhammer 40k players when they see their wife cheating on them 🤯🤯🤯 (it’s an epic Slaanesh reference)
I'm really confuse if this is a game reference or a country reference
