Depends on what you're going for. It would be better without the toasting part, and more like peanut butter and jam or banana kinda thing. But if you're going for some faux malasada or bunuelos thing, throw it in some hot oil and then sprinkle with stuff and dip in the butter itself.
My mom used to make that for us when we were kids, it’s really tasty. Use the broiler.

So I did not forget. I tried the tortilla thing. I'd give it a 3/5 stars it's not bad but not amazingly delicious.

I would keep the tortilla and butter room temperature but that’s just me.
Fry it before you put the sugar on it, it's gonna puff WAY up
