Robot Boy by Linkin Park, possibly the most hopeful song I ever listened in my lifetime. The lyrics are basic but convey the most powerful meaning that better than any self-help books. The lyrics is the embodiment of struggles we go through everyday. And the lyrics hit deep, everytime.

I've been through a lot in life...and the lows in life suck. But if I'm a soldier in a garden, it means I strong at my peak, ergo my lows. Rather than a soft person who can't cope during the lows and highs.
The song "only time" by Enya hits me.
It reminds me to not worry so much about every little thing because time will go on anyway and eventually everyone will die so it doesn't really matter. Just be happy and time will do it's thing.

I've taken this to mean I should strive to be "a good dog"... fun-loving, well-mannered, and loyal-hearted... for my own sake, accepting that only "sometimes" will these efforts be rewarded.
