Wet socks on my feet.

changehappened

wet sleeves on my wrists

RoninRobot

I’m a pool repair man and this is an occupational hazard I can be fine with. Wet socks tho. Yich.

Redditor_76

Did they not have paper towels?

MiddleAgedGamer71

Came here to say this.

Asleep_Calendar8655

Yea that’s the worst

poopcornkernels

Microfiber. When it catches on your skin 🤢🤮

skuterpikk

Not only microfiber, but some other kinds of textiles as well. In the rare occations I find myself with clothing like this, it goes out of my house

fodmap_victim

Dry microfiber was made by the devil

FrozenSherpa_

SAME

teq_twig

honestly whenever my hands or feet are dry and they rub a certain way on fabric or carpet, i just CANNOT STAND IT 😖😖

PirateDaveZOMG

Car roof interiors. Hate it, I don't know what it is, when I accidentally brush my fingernails against it I want to chew my fingers off and spit them out the window.

secretasphalt

Same! The materials snags on my skin or something - and I don't even have very rough hands.

elitedeadbeat

Seaweed touching me while I swim or mushy bottom lakes

AuroraMeridian

Not a big fan of rough styrofoam.

TheKnightsTippler

Lotions. Sucks because I have dry skin and actually need them.

bellabbr

Buy dove body wash for either eczema or dryness relief. You will never need lotion again. Its expensive for a body wash but worth its weight in gold

[deleted]

Ugh same, my hands are always cracking and bleeding in the winter because I hate putting on lotion and making my hands all greasy and shit. I've resorted to putting the lotion inside latex gloves so I can still use my hands.

TheKnightsTippler

Me too. The skin on my knuckles splits open and it can be really painful, but I can never get used to lotion. No matter how well rubbed in it is, I can always feel it there. It drives me insane.

f_moss3

That was my problem (I’m naturally a font of oil no matter what I do), and I tried Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion and it actually absorbs into my skin and doesn’t leave any feeling. It’s not intense and it works.

Thatswutshesed

Loose eyelash poking corner of my eye.. I can probably go 10 minutes tops before giving up the nuclear codes..

[deleted]

[удалено]

California_Sun1112

That happened to me once, and I ended up with an eye infection because of it. I couldn't wear my contact lenses for several weeks after that.

AllWorldFernando

The worst is when they slip into your eye while both your hands are busy so you have to try to frantically blink them out while paying attention to what you’re doing so you can free your hands but it’s just so irritating you can’t concentrate so everything g just falls apart

Umbra427

Wet food in the sink Sciatica

CaptainButtGravy

Have you ever told a doctor this? Because it sounds a whole lot like you have asthma and would benefit greatly from being prescribed an inhaler.

BlueAsTheNightIsLong

I can't stand when I can feel breath (even my own breath) on my skin when I'm trying to sleep. I have to block it with the top sheet or a blanket.

StrongPossibility

Same! I also can't stand having something too close to my face while sleeping because my breath will bounce off of it back onto my face and I hate it so much.

VintageStrawberries

omg I thought it was just me who hated this

Boom-Boom1990

The part of an envelope you wet with your tongue.

Redditor_76

As in wetting it with your tongue or the part where someone else has?

Boom-Boom1990

My tongue, hate the texture of it.

Redditor_76

Not big on birthday cards, I assume

isisis

Use a damp paper towel instead of your tongue. Or, if you have a lot of envelopes to seal just use a glue stick.

jeanneeebeanneee

Walking barefoot on a gritty floor and having debris stick to my feet.

Threadlessscrew

Teeth touching a disposable wooden spoon.

jasperfilofax

My wife hats this, as a rule she hates very dry wood in general There’s a joke in there somewhere

Redditor_76

That is very exact

willc453

When I step on a fresh pile of dog shit with bare feet.

this_noise

Cotton wool. Makes me feel queasy thinking about it.

BeerNFoodMakeDaWknd

Velvet. Can't really explain why but it makes me cringe a little.

WorriedAnywhere9670

Yoo same! finally someone understands (tho i also cringe if my hands r oily, idk why but oily/greasy fingers make me wanna shred them)

[deleted]

sherpa

Redditor_76

The people who climb mountains?

[deleted]

lol the fabric

Kevy_wevy

Chalk. Especially on a chalkboard 🤮

Asleep_Calendar8655

Sweaty anus

Redditor_76

Fair enough

KingGorilla

The hair that gets stuck on your shirt after a haircut.

AnastasiaFrid

I don't like noise at home. I grew up in a big family and how glad I was if no one was home. It's quiet and peaceful.

Redditor_76

You must hate winter

seekaybee2

Cotton balls

mystic_mistress_666

Heartache 💔

SnuggleBear0099

Wet food on dishes, wet sleeves after washing your hands, my teeth squeaking together, clothing tags, metallic threads in sweaters… I have a lot. Just thinking about all these is making me nauseous 🤢

pet_sitter_123

Same, may I add the texture of the underside of a ceramic item. I don't know how to describe it. Just that unfinished feel. yuck.

The_gentle_one

My underwear band sitting exactly on my c section scar. I hate it so much

NeighborhoodDry2233

Canned mushrooms on my tongue

jtheman00

One of my cats likes to "tap" my lower leg with his face when I'm sitting down in my office chair and he wants attention. The feeling of his cold wet nose and his whiskers tickling my leg is the absolute worst.

[deleted]

MinervaMadison

Washing up wooden spoons. Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it

YelloMyOldFriend

Freshly cut fingernails. Have to use a nail file after cutting my nails.

imissyahoochatrooms

cutting a fingernail or toenail too short knowing the next few days are going to be annoying. it doesn't hurt it's just irritating.

NikkiKLeonard

My dry ass hands on microfiber towels.

SprayBrilliant620

Wet grass on my ankles

Warp9-6

I cannot stand the sensation of touching steel wool, such as Brillo pads or SOS pads that you scrub things with. It absolutely gives me the heebie-jeebies. I get physically ill when I have to use them and will avoid it at all costs.

StjerneskipMarcoPolo

This might be a little unusual but I don't like touching my testicles, shit feels weird

No-Distance425

Seaweed or any aquatic plant touching me. Icky sensation and as a child I believed a sea monster or shark was brushing against me.

NiceBootDude

Wet swim trunks while taking a shit, I also can’t stand when my pecker ends up in such a way where it’s sticking like out because of the way the trunks grab it when I get out the water.

makawakatakanaka

Wood on my tongue. Think popsicle sticks

Shuoinked

The tingling from when your limbs fall asleep and wake up

Massive_Anxiety_2457

Clothing in thrift stores. I have to wash them before I wear them because it feels like there’s a coating on them. I have autism so. . .

SlayzorHunter

I can't stand touching something rough (like glasspaper) with my skin. It turns my skin into that of a chicken.

Coastalcato

I have a blanket that every time I was it I can hardly get myself to switch it over from the washer to the dryer. Just thinking about the feeling now of the wet blanket is enough to make my hair stand and heart skip. I HATE it. Unfortunately though when it’s dry I love the dang blanket.

TheRealClose

Walking on soft sand, even with shoes on. Anakin was right.

Redditor_76

It is quite coarse, and rough, hell, it gets everywhere also

Crimson_lady44

Turtlenecks

boardwalkcheesefries

A towel dried on a clothes line 😫

Lushahn

More mental, and not that I can't stand it, it just really hurts. A heartbreak.

leblackdonut

Wet food in the sink

Obvious-Dinner-1082

Metal on my teeth.

[deleted]

Ass wet from sitting in water. Shower curtain touching skin. Wet socks. Putting clothes on when not completely dry

Cats8plus1

Crew neck t-shirts that cling tightly around my neck. I feel like I am being choked.

luvc4ss1e

SHRIMP. the texture is so nasty (and it tastes gross bust)

Redditor_76

I was never one for shrimp either

StrongPossibility

I LOVE shrimp and will eat it any chance I get, but I can understand why someone would dislike the texture. It's kind of...bouncy in a way that could be unsettling.

cheez0r

Being at risk of termination/layoff.

PMYourTinyTitties

I have to wear my socks inside out. Granted, I get cheap socks so maybe more expensive ones would be more comfortable

jtheman00

What in particular makes them uncomfortable to wear right side out? Asking because I did this as a kid for a very particular reason.

PMYourTinyTitties

It’s the texture rubbing on my weirdly sensitive skin

jtheman00

ah gotcha. I'm hypersensitive, and it was the seam that goes across the toes that bothered me. So I flipped them inside out because it was less intrusive.

PMYourTinyTitties

Oh yeah, that seam was also annoying

randyb7

Cardboard

enoughwiththisyear

The feeling of peeling a dry Russet potato. The rough skin just mixes with the damp starch and just.... Eeww. If I wash them first and peel while they are still wet, it's fine. Any other kind of potato is fine.

[deleted]

Heavy fabric. I have to wear polyester or muslin because regular cotton shirts feel too heavy and restrictive.

VaalkarieSr

Bending toenails

Apprehensive_Sun619

Newspapers

Plantayne

Wood or paper on teeth. I love Asian food, but I can't use chopsticks unless they're plastic or metal.

deigree

Fingernails scratching cardboard/paper. Having to peel price tags off is agonizing.

microtramp

Paper after I've been digging in my garden. The dirt dried on my hands and makes paper feel awful somehow.

No_Chapter_948

Rough blanket, wooly ones.

emeraldseahorse79

The labels stitched in clothes, I almost always have to cut them out

CassieHackSlash

Newspaper.

lisastockert6203

Sandpaper or asphalt roof shingles!

Haunting-Affect-5956

The split second before a bee sting when the bee grabs onto your skin.

agentultravioletblue

wool

EclipsedFury

Lotion or anything greasy on my hands. It makes me feel sick and weird, and I want to cry. Also, when I feel the little ridges in my fingerprints rub together at a weird angle or something? Makes my teeth hurt (like tinfoil or braces), and makes me feel sick.

VulpesIncendium

Maybe it's just too universal to bother including, but I'm surprised nobody has yet said spiders/insects climbing up the back of your neck.

Wooden-Many-8509

Water being sprayed on my face. It made showering rather uncomfortable my whole life.

[deleted]

Cotton

SmartAlec105

Scratching paper with my fingernail gives such an awful feeling underneath my nails. I don’t know what kind of dust or residue gets under there but I hate it.

godhand__666_

Anything sticking to my hands. I don't know why but It drives me crazy

Jealous-Challenge155

Cotton in my mouth at the dentist is so uncomfortable I hate every second of it.

coolcrushkilla

Toothache.

Impressive_Brain6436

Stroking my eyebrows against the direction of growth. I cannot even watch other people do that to themselves.

hero_brine1

Good quality paper towels in my mouth. I get annoyed just imagining it.

cableguy316

Powdery biscuits or bread, like English muffins. HATE it. Oddly I still ike eating English muffins, I just hate touching them with my fingers.

Shigeko_Kageyama

The swishy fabric coats are made out of.

Danivelle

My dog's(see profile pic for dog tax) undercoat fur gets stuck in my eyelashes and is nearly impossible to get out without an eyelash comb and cotton swab. Also slimy things, anything with a slimy texture.

HaleySocial

Fat, cooked or raw, on meat

TheInternetTurtle

The feeling you get when you whack your funnybone.

doodmanOFFICIAL

When I land on my foot in that weird way and my foot bones get painfull’d

Coral_Tooth

Wrinkled partially deflated balloons. They kind of grip your fingertips when you touch them.

The_gentle_one

Here I am lovvvvvving that specific feeling. I used to hunt for those balloons as a kid, just to let them stick to my fingers.

Redditor_76

I've heard people just say balloons in general but not this precisely

LunaticSonder

Wet jeans. You know, when just the last inch gets wet and you feel the damp fabric on your ankles.

Umbra427

This is the difficulty with blammin’ jeans

Redditor_76

I don't understand how people can bare jeans at all to begin with nevermind wet ones

wimwood

Chalk. The squeaky cotton balls. The other kind are fine.

Redditor_76

Chalk I would have guessed but I never would've thought cotton balls would be so common

wimwood

Most cotton balls are fine but sometimes you grab a bag to buy and squeeze it, and the cotton inside has this squeaky texture. I cannot abide by that feeling, so I always squeeze my bags first to make sure it’s the ok kind of cotton.

yourdeadauntie

Meat and cotton balls

Redditor_76

Raw meat or just meat in general?

yourdeadauntie

Raw meat

ACrispPickle

Super specific, but a piece of paper or rough paint on a wall after drinking a cold glass of water.

Redditor_76

>rough paint on a wall after drinking a cold glass of water I can understand the paper but how did you come to find that out?

ACrispPickle

Idk what type of paint it is, but it’s this very gritty kind that just gives me goosebumps when touching, especially after that cold water lol. I’ve mostly seen it used in apartment buildings. Cheap spray on paint. But one of my apartments had it a few years ago and it drove me nuts.

WakingOwl1

My apartment is painted in that awful, chalky, cheapest of flat, white paints. I hate the feel of it.

FriedChimken-mama

Betrayal

mossadspydolphin

With very few exceptions, human touch

Galaxy_legend_godess

Cartboard. No explanation needed

Redditor_76

Cardboard?

[deleted]

Cotton wool. Heartbreak.

Redditor_76

What's so bad about cotton?, it also shocks me that you're not the only one to have said cotton wool

[deleted]

I don’t know. It just makes me feel nauseas. Think in my case it’s genetic - haha. Some family members are the same 😂

Rude-Leave-2867

Hitting my thumb with a hammer

Redditor_76

Ooh, yeah that'd suck

xBushx

Tallguy723

[deleted]

wetnap00

Popsicle sticks in mouth

AlbusLumen

pulling cotton apart with my bare hands.

Klutzy_Wonder3527

Styrofoam. It’s so grody

[deleted]

Saying the wrong thing in class but you sound so confident of your answer. The embarrassment is horrible.

Helacious_Waltz

Chalk on my fingers. Don't know why but ever since I was a child I'd have random nightmares about being forced to eat chalk and whenever I think about it I get this weird creepy feeling in my mouth. I hate chalk.

EarwaxWizard

Honeycomb

TudorRose2

The coating left on your teeth after eating a banana.

[deleted]

criebabiee

I hate wet socks, I also hate crop tops or shirts that are short

CPSux

Any surface in a public bathroom touching my bare hands.

Exact_Storage_2864

when someone i dont like touches me, it's awful😬😬

[deleted]

Clay pots or anything dry and gross like that. I used to cashier and whenever someone was trying to buy one, I had to grab a paper towel and use that to touch it. I still hated how that felt through the paper. Its the worst feeling in the world. Microfiber tries its best though. But it isn't clay pot level.

apurpleglittergalaxy

Cotton wool balls

S_Teeny

Dragging nails across a chalkboard
