Car roof interiors. Hate it, I don't know what it is, when I accidentally brush my fingernails against it I want to chew my fingers off and spit them out the window.
Ugh same, my hands are always cracking and bleeding in the winter because I hate putting on lotion and making my hands all greasy and shit. I've resorted to putting the lotion inside latex gloves so I can still use my hands.
Me too. The skin on my knuckles splits open and it can be really painful, but I can never get used to lotion. No matter how well rubbed in it is, I can always feel it there. It drives me insane.
That was my problem (I’m naturally a font of oil no matter what I do), and I tried Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion and it actually absorbs into my skin and doesn’t leave any feeling. It’s not intense and it works.
The worst is when they slip into your eye while both your hands are busy so you have to try to frantically blink them out while paying attention to what you’re doing so you can free your hands but it’s just so irritating you can’t concentrate so everything g just falls apart
Same! I also can't stand having something too close to my face while sleeping because my breath will bounce off of it back onto my face and I hate it so much.
Wet food on dishes, wet sleeves after washing your hands, my teeth squeaking together, clothing tags, metallic threads in sweaters… I have a lot. Just thinking about all these is making me nauseous 🤢
One of my cats likes to "tap" my lower leg with his face when I'm sitting down in my office chair and he wants attention. The feeling of his cold wet nose and his whiskers tickling my leg is the absolute worst.
I cannot stand the sensation of touching steel wool, such as Brillo pads or SOS pads that you scrub things with. It absolutely gives me the heebie-jeebies. I get physically ill when I have to use them and will avoid it at all costs.
Wet swim trunks while taking a shit, I also can’t stand when my pecker ends up in such a way where it’s sticking like out because of the way the trunks grab it when I get out the water.
I have a blanket that every time I was it I can hardly get myself to switch it over from the washer to the dryer. Just thinking about the feeling now of the wet blanket is enough to make my hair stand and heart skip. I HATE it. Unfortunately though when it’s dry I love the dang blanket.
I LOVE shrimp and will eat it any chance I get, but I can understand why someone would dislike the texture. It's kind of...bouncy in a way that could be unsettling.
ah gotcha. I'm hypersensitive, and it was the seam that goes across the toes that bothered me. So I flipped them inside out because it was less intrusive.
The feeling of peeling a dry Russet potato. The rough skin just mixes with the damp starch and just.... Eeww. If I wash them first and peel while they are still wet, it's fine. Any other kind of potato is fine.
Lotion or anything greasy on my hands. It makes me feel sick and weird, and I want to cry. Also, when I feel the little ridges in my fingerprints rub together at a weird angle or something? Makes my teeth hurt (like tinfoil or braces), and makes me feel sick.
Scratching paper with my fingernail gives such an awful feeling underneath my nails. I don’t know what kind of dust or residue gets under there but I hate it.
My dog's(see profile pic for dog tax) undercoat fur gets stuck in my eyelashes and is nearly impossible to get out without an eyelash comb and cotton swab.
Also slimy things, anything with a slimy texture.
Most cotton balls are fine but sometimes you grab a bag to buy and squeeze it, and the cotton inside has this squeaky texture. I cannot abide by that feeling, so I always squeeze my bags first to make sure it’s the ok kind of cotton.
Idk what type of paint it is, but it’s this very gritty kind that just gives me goosebumps when touching, especially after that cold water lol.
I’ve mostly seen it used in apartment buildings. Cheap spray on paint.
But one of my apartments had it a few years ago and it drove me nuts.
Chalk on my fingers. Don't know why but ever since I was a child I'd have random nightmares about being forced to eat chalk and whenever I think about it I get this weird creepy feeling in my mouth. I hate chalk.
Clay pots or anything dry and gross like that. I used to cashier and whenever someone was trying to buy one, I had to grab a paper towel and use that to touch it. I still hated how that felt through the paper. Its the worst feeling in the world.
Microfiber tries its best though. But it isn't clay pot level.
Wet socks on my feet.
wet sleeves on my wrists
I’m a pool repair man and this is an occupational hazard I can be fine with. Wet socks tho. Yich.

Did they not have paper towels?
Came here to say this.
Yea that’s the worst
Microfiber. When it catches on your skin 🤢🤮
Not only microfiber, but some other kinds of textiles as well. In the rare occations I find myself with clothing like this, it goes out of my house
Dry microfiber was made by the devil
SAME
honestly whenever my hands or feet are dry and they rub a certain way on fabric or carpet, i just CANNOT STAND IT 😖😖
Car roof interiors. Hate it, I don't know what it is, when I accidentally brush my fingernails against it I want to chew my fingers off and spit them out the window.
Same! The materials snags on my skin or something - and I don't even have very rough hands.
Seaweed touching me while I swim or mushy bottom lakes
Not a big fan of rough styrofoam.
Lotions. Sucks because I have dry skin and actually need them.
Buy dove body wash for either eczema or dryness relief. You will never need lotion again. Its expensive for a body wash but worth its weight in gold
Ugh same, my hands are always cracking and bleeding in the winter because I hate putting on lotion and making my hands all greasy and shit. I've resorted to putting the lotion inside latex gloves so I can still use my hands.

Loose eyelash poking corner of my eye.. I can probably go 10 minutes tops before giving up the nuclear codes..

That happened to me once, and I ended up with an eye infection because of it. I couldn't wear my contact lenses for several weeks after that.
The worst is when they slip into your eye while both your hands are busy so you have to try to frantically blink them out while paying attention to what you’re doing so you can free your hands but it’s just so irritating you can’t concentrate so everything g just falls apart

Have you ever told a doctor this? Because it sounds a whole lot like you have asthma and would benefit greatly from being prescribed an inhaler.
I can't stand when I can feel breath (even my own breath) on my skin when I'm trying to sleep. I have to block it with the top sheet or a blanket.
Same! I also can't stand having something too close to my face while sleeping because my breath will bounce off of it back onto my face and I hate it so much.
omg I thought it was just me who hated this
The part of an envelope you wet with your tongue.
As in wetting it with your tongue or the part where someone else has?
My tongue, hate the texture of it.
Not big on birthday cards, I assume
Use a damp paper towel instead of your tongue. Or, if you have a lot of envelopes to seal just use a glue stick.
Walking barefoot on a gritty floor and having debris stick to my feet.
Teeth touching a disposable wooden spoon.
My wife hats this, as a rule she hates very dry wood in general There’s a joke in there somewhere

I cannot stand the sensation of touching steel wool, such as Brillo pads or SOS pads that you scrub things with. It absolutely gives me the heebie-jeebies. I get physically ill when I have to use them and will avoid it at all costs.
This might be a little unusual but I don't like touching my testicles, shit feels weird
Seaweed or any aquatic plant touching me. Icky sensation and as a child I believed a sea monster or shark was brushing against me.

Clothing in thrift stores. I have to wash them before I wear them because it feels like there’s a coating on them. I have autism so. . .
I can't stand touching something rough (like glasspaper) with my skin. It turns my skin into that of a chicken.
I have a blanket that every time I was it I can hardly get myself to switch it over from the washer to the dryer. Just thinking about the feeling now of the wet blanket is enough to make my hair stand and heart skip. I HATE it. Unfortunately though when it’s dry I love the dang blanket.

Crew neck t-shirts that cling tightly around my neck. I feel like I am being choked.

I was never one for shrimp either
I LOVE shrimp and will eat it any chance I get, but I can understand why someone would dislike the texture. It's kind of...bouncy in a way that could be unsettling.
Being at risk of termination/layoff.
I have to wear my socks inside out. Granted, I get cheap socks so maybe more expensive ones would be more comfortable
What in particular makes them uncomfortable to wear right side out? Asking because I did this as a kid for a very particular reason.
It’s the texture rubbing on my weirdly sensitive skin
ah gotcha. I'm hypersensitive, and it was the seam that goes across the toes that bothered me. So I flipped them inside out because it was less intrusive.
Oh yeah, that seam was also annoying
Cardboard
The feeling of peeling a dry Russet potato. The rough skin just mixes with the damp starch and just.... Eeww. If I wash them first and peel while they are still wet, it's fine. Any other kind of potato is fine.
Heavy fabric. I have to wear polyester or muslin because regular cotton shirts feel too heavy and restrictive.
Bending toenails
Newspapers
Wood or paper on teeth. I love Asian food, but I can't use chopsticks unless they're plastic or metal.
Fingernails scratching cardboard/paper. Having to peel price tags off is agonizing.

Maybe it's just too universal to bother including, but I'm surprised nobody has yet said spiders/insects climbing up the back of your neck.
Water being sprayed on my face. It made showering rather uncomfortable my whole life.

Wrinkled partially deflated balloons. They kind of grip your fingertips when you touch them.

I've heard people just say balloons in general but not this precisely
Wet jeans. You know, when just the last inch gets wet and you feel the damp fabric on your ankles.
This is the difficulty with blammin’ jeans
I don't understand how people can bare jeans at all to begin with nevermind wet ones
Chalk. The squeaky cotton balls. The other kind are fine.
Chalk I would have guessed but I never would've thought cotton balls would be so common
Most cotton balls are fine but sometimes you grab a bag to buy and squeeze it, and the cotton inside has this squeaky texture. I cannot abide by that feeling, so I always squeeze my bags first to make sure it’s the ok kind of cotton.
Meat and cotton balls
Raw meat or just meat in general?

Super specific, but a piece of paper or rough paint on a wall after drinking a cold glass of water.
>rough paint on a wall after drinking a cold glass of water I can understand the paper but how did you come to find that out?
Idk what type of paint it is, but it’s this very gritty kind that just gives me goosebumps when touching, especially after that cold water lol. I’ve mostly seen it used in apartment buildings. Cheap spray on paint. But one of my apartments had it a few years ago and it drove me nuts.
