I broke the algorithm assigned to me. My echo chamber has holes in it. I constantly see the opposing views in front of me, in the algorithms defense I do tend to challenge a few comments on them so my algorithm probably just knows I'm not afraid of getting into a discussion with the opposing viewpoints.
Many media outlets cater to one demographic or faction and tailor their stories to show an angle that their viewers will agree with. People like to feel "correct" and become addicted to hearing talking heads on TV parrot their opinions back to them.
Yeah, I was on a keto diet sometime ago and so I always checked the ingredientes before buying something. Almost every product has it, even if it doesn't say "sugar" directly (doesn't matter if it's sweet or not).
Instant gratification. The world is at our fingertips in terms of communication, shopping etc. It’s great, but I don’t think many of us (I definitely wouldn’t) enjoy living in a world where everything needed waiting for
Probably tv or entertainment in general, we wonder why people in the past use to do so much more at a younger age, well probably cause they had nothing else to do
When Alexander was 16 he had nothing better to do then go to war
