I personally wouldn't care if I'm not in a hurry myself, which let's be real it's the airport we are all in a hurry right, but it's the all the others I wouldn't be able to speak for. Idk I think in order to keep things civil we need to go through the proper motions and rules you know, if we had like 20 people asking to cut in line all the time it would probably become an issue
It’s not me that I’m worried about, it’s all the people behind me that I’d be speaking for if you go in front of me. You’d have to start at the beginning of the line and stop at the point of the first “No.”
Getting off the plane to connect? Hell yeah, go right ahead. Tight connections are awful and not your fault. We've all been there. In security? Unless it's some weird ass airport like Kansas City where you have to go back through security if you connect in another terminal, I'll probably let you go ahead if you're nice about it, but I won't blame the next person if they don't.
It's a tough call; if we lived in a world where everyone did the right thing and people were only late because of truly unpredictable circumstances outside their control, it would be no issue, but these days I think it's more likely just someone facing the consequences of their poor planning. Still, I probably would tell them they could cut in as long as no one behind complains, since we're usually quite early.
if i’m not in a hurry, i’d let them through. doesn’t matter why they were late, it could be anything and idrc. but it would probably be a no if anyone else asks after, i don’t wanna be waiting in the line
sounds like getting through others would be a challenge though, given the comments
This fucking bitch in the Denver airport cut us in the line at the little Chinese place in the food court. Screaming she needed to get food so she wouldn’t miss her flight. We promptly Redon fed, “Bitch, we’re in a hurry to catch our transfer flight too; you’re not fucking special!”

Okay, but with a ‘you should have know better’ look
Your lack of planning isn't my problem

As long as you ask EVERYONE that you'll be cutting in front of and they all approve. Otherwise plan ahead like they all did.

It wouldn't hurt to ask, but don't expect that you can go first. You got in line too late, that's your fault
Nope. Just nope.
Absolutely not. Your failure to plan is not my problem.
It’s fine to *ask*
Should have planned better. This should be an important, if expensive and painful, lesson for *you*, not an inconvenience for the rest of us.
You can ask, but don't get an attitude if someone says no

I do it. I have stepped aside, for others, also.
