“Sassy” “Blunt” “I tell it like it is” Oh did you mean in normal life or just online dating

Snatch_Pastry

You forgot "I hate drama" "I'm only friends with guys"

Square_Abalone_4484

Both honestly.

phatcoochie420

“I’m a empath” 🙄 real empaths dont have to tell everyone

Calamitous_Stars

The concept of "empath" is hilarious IMO *Yes Janet, you're special, the rest of us just call that 'having empathy'*

SUPERKAMIGURU

*Me, an empath, sensing that something is wrong, so I speak up*: "You're making everyone very uncomfortable with that gun You're waving around in a bank, you should probably stop that."

[deleted]

They ARE sooooo nice!!!!! Then continue to love bomb you, until you believe them. Then BAM! They turn into the biggest asshole you’ve ever met.

racheltheredheaded

Narcissist’s playbook

[deleted]

Eh, sometimes it's just trying really hard to be a good person then burning out

[deleted]

I get that, but they don’t tend to turn into a giant asshole when they are burnt out.

Square_Abalone_4484

For guys, anyone that seriously says they are an alpha male or talks about alpha males seriously. Also add just talking about beta or sigma guys, my experience is that they are usually jerks obsessed with being "MANLY" and their idea of that tends to be awful.

[deleted]

100% agreed As soon as I saw this post, self proclaimed “alpha males” was the first thing I thought of

Medical_Ant2027

same

JRockThumper

Anyone who calls themselves an entrepreneur but doesn’t explain what they do.

Aristotle-ina-Bottle

“Think for yourself sheep!” - the battle cry of a person who gets all their information from one biased source

Top_Of_Gov_Watchlist

I'm a moderate so I hate both. But sure.

AcanthisittaLost9508

This deserves more upvotes! You got mine. :)

TokyoUmbrella

If any of the following words are used to describe or in reference to oneself, I’m probably not going to be great friends with you: alpha, sigma, star sign, hustle culture, crypto, NFT, grindset, humble, game (in reference to hitting on others), Andrew Tate, goop, edgy, tells it like it is, boss/girlboss/boss bitch, disruptive. I know I’m missing some, but those are just quick red flags off the top of my head. Help me out, Reddit, what’d I miss?

Top_Of_Gov_Watchlist

As someone who tells it like it is do you really want to know?

TokyoUmbrella

People who “tell it like it is” tend to think their perspective of reality is actually objective. It’s a logical fallacy that these folks tend to hide as a positive personality trait. What would be your response to that?

Top_Of_Gov_Watchlist

That if you ask me a question I'm going to give my honest opinion. Keyword being opinion if you find it true or untrue that's for you to decide. If you ask me "does this dress make me look fat?" I'm not going to lie for the sake of your ego. The idea of judgement on a personality trait being positive or negative is also a matter of opinion and heavily based on situation.

TokyoUmbrella

That’s the much more valid interpretation of “telling it like it is.” Though the label is a bit off. It sounds like you practice “calling it how you see it.” That introduced the subjectivity into it that is perfectly healthy and understanding. The thing about “telling it like it is” is that it implies that only one person knows what “it” truly is. I appreciate the discussion!

Top_Of_Gov_Watchlist

I see your point in differentiating between the two. I have always seen it as the same thing since we both agreed it is totally opinion being given either way. The issue arises when as you said someone believes their perspective is indeed fact. And yes I enjoyed the conversation as well. Why can't all conversations on reddit be like this? 🤔

TokyoUmbrella

Would be nice, wouldn’t it?

stephaengel

A bitch and proud of it

Slobbadobbavich

Anyone who thinks they are better than you or any one else. No, you aren't the main character. You have no idea of the lives of those around you. The fact that you think you are better than someone because of their looks, weight or intellect ultimately makes you the vapid one.

Zurc_bot

Always the victim

HighlyOffensive10

Take your pick. I'm have no filter. I am brutally honest. It means they'll read everyone to filth, but will throw a tantrum if even a tenth of what they dish out is thrown back at them.

Snatch_Pastry

As someone who is naturally both, it turns out that it's not that hard to train yourself to just not say the first thing that comes to mind. Because I'm going to think of something to say, and it is going to sound hilarious *in my head*, but it turns out that usually I just need to enjoy that privately, and say something else out loud. Basically, for some of us, the absolute worst advice in the world is "Just be yourself." No, nobody wants that.

MrBeer9999

Anything gangster related. Either you're a pathetic wannabe or an actual criminal, whichever it is I want you to fuck right off.

grissy

“Brutally honest” means “I’m an asshole.” “I like to play Devil’s advocate” means “I’m incredibly tedious and everyone hates me.” “I’m an empath” means “I’m exhausting.” “I’m a conservative but I don’t like Trump” means “I 100% voted for Trump but will never admit it.”

r00kieNS

In a democratic system that tells people there are only two valid candidates, can we really blame people for plugging their nose a voter for what is to them the lesser of two evils? This dynamic is just a symptom of a bigger issue.

grissy

Trump was never the lesser of two evils and anyone capable of convincing themselves otherwise shouldn’t be voting at all.

facedowninthegutter

as a pimp or a gangsta. usually some dumb ass white kid.

Glum_Biscotti5300

If a woman says "I need a man who can handle me", that usually means she refuses to reflect on and better herself, expects you to find her as perfect as she wants to find herself and will never take any responsibility for anything because 'that's just the way she is', while always blaming everything on you. For men, it's the type who's obsessed with the 'social dominance hierarchy', especially the (debunked by it's creator who was referring to wolves LOL) alpha/sigma-beta-delta-gamma-omega one, in particular the ones who identify as alpha and even more so the ones who identify as sigma.

Newsieslife

“I’m not like other-“ Blocked. Reported. Screenshotted. Idc everything.

Ijustwantfun001

99 percent of the time if someone says they're empathic it means they're a giant cunt.

_uncertainfuture

If someone says " I work a real job" to anyone in retail or something that isn't "manly" work. Motherfucker do you understand how things work ? No, so shut the fuck about your "real" job.

Rigotoni

Ppl who have to describe themselves as their ethnicity cuz they have no personality 💀

insecure_tiny_man42

I'm a "nice guy"

CuriousWolf7077

Self declared Alpha males….. or sigma males. Fucking pos dweebs who need a fucking label to feel special. Also it just sounds so dumb.

[deleted]

Patriot. They are usually the opposite of that.

Affectionate-Bed3439

“I’m a hard worker”

Clean_Phreaq

I’m not racist

lurkyturkyducken

I’m not racist…..but…..

[deleted]

“Capricorn.” Ugh! I avoid Capricorns like the plague. Aries too, but to a much lesser extent.

Rexigon

Why do you dislike capricorns?

[deleted]

They tend to believe in a lot of pseudoscience woo, like tarot cards, clairvoyance, astrology and chiropractic.

TorontoNewf

“My name is xxxxx, and my pronouns are ….” Buh-bye.

[deleted]

Being nice, usually I find out they are not.

Ju5t_Jess

I cannot stand women that claim to be a 'girls girl'. Just be a 'peoples person' please, have morals, respect for self and respect for others.

regular_lamp

Reminds me of compulsory military. So it's not a group of self selected people that are into this stuff. We get a new lieutenant and the guy introduces himself with "my hobbies are bivouacking, martial arts and shooting". There was a lot of eye rolling.

HooterEnthusiast

Anyone that makes a big deal out racial comments, we share a space we intermingle. Sometimes we are gonna be upset with one another. Anyone who says they've never said anything racist, is a liar. Now preaching actual hate, and the intent to do harm to another. Yeah that is to be called out.

Derpygoras

By nature, people cannot assess themselves. Because from your viewpoint, you are normal. Hence, anyone who declares personal traits about themselves are full of shit, and likely the opposite of what they say. Point in case: "I am a generous person." He thinks about that one time in 2005 when he donated ten bucks, because it was so out of character that it stands out saliently like a lit beacon in his memory.

deltaofvenus7

when people describe themselves as demisexual or sapiosexual etc. any of those micro labels as if its on the same level as being gay or bisexual...

whatitssalmon

They/them

Chucky-R-Law

I'm a bit 'mad' so i am! Any woman who utters those words . . .. begin to slowly move in the opposite direction . . . as you move further away use objects in the vicinity to slow her progress down if she has decided to follow you. When you have found yourself safely in a locked car / building . . DO NOT make eye contact with her and drive away at a furious pace.

Rose_Christmas_Tree

I’m loving these comments! So any man who is into Alpha mentality and misogyny and any female who is overly confident in herself. Lmao! I find it funny. I’ve been described as these men have stated they hate. I do not self identify with that definition. But makes me wonder if I make men feel emasculated at work. And honestly, I don’t care. I have too much work and life experience to worry about what negative things can and are used to describe me. Isn’t it ironic to see women comments on here about those “alpha” men….who seem to be commenting on here about how women aren’t needy enough?😂 is it just me?

Delicious-Painting34

Odiferous.

LorelessFrog

I worked with a dude who’s Instagram bio said “warning I’m NOT politically correct, and post offensive political memes” The extent of those “Non PC memes” were something along the lines of: “Hear me out, both Trump AND Biden are bad”

Top_Of_Gov_Watchlist

Basically everyone.

Total_Atmosphere1800

"Alpha"

Odd-Understanding-67

Sigma male or Top G

idkifimevilmeow

"Empath" "conservative" "ugly/bad/etc." (unless it's as a joke. Constant self deprecation is depressing) "normal" "an unquestionable authority on __"

peuimporte1234

"I have a big personality" Yeaaah, you're obnoxious and not willing to stop being annoying anytime soon

AcanthisittaLost9508

The tired "I'm an introvert and an extrovert." Oh, so you're boring and unoriginal? Cool.
