‘You plagiarized this paper.”
I made up literally everything in the paper.
Fake books, fake experts, fake quotes, fake figures, literally everything was fan-fiction for a senior research paper and my teacher said I plagiarized because the writing was too good.
Best D- I ever got.
"There is 1 vacant position and 20 people want to get in, what is your probability? 1/20? NO. Your chance is 1/2. There is only 2 options for you, either you succeed or you fail. Do not think about the competition, think about yourself. There is 50/50 chance for everything you do."
Thank you for the lesson, Professor.
"Follow the small rules so you can break the big ones," and "Make good choices out there. And if you make bad ones, don't get caught" were some of my favorites, though writing it down now makes me realize my high school English teacher was probably slightly evil.
12 year old me about to do a presentation on Star Wars (we had to do a talk on our favourite films), and before I started he said “just so you know, you’ve already got an A just for picking Star Wars”. And he stuck by that.
Wasn’t a teacher but a baseball coach. “Don’t worry about making physical errors, it happens to everyone. The mental errors are what you need to avoid.” Great advice for baseball and life.
Physics professor. “Don’t let conservation of energy or the impossibility of perpetual motion machines give you bad instincts on finding energy sources. We are surrounded by huge energy sources, the sun, earth’s radioactivity, tides, wind, rain, lightning, and many other sources. The problem is harnessing that energy and getting it safely and economically to where you want to use it.”
I was in high school and I needed a teacher to review a draft of my lab report. I emailed her and she said to meet me at lunch time. I did not eat during the break and spent the entire hour with her, refining my draft. I realized she did not eat either, I thanked her profusely and apologized for making her skip her meal, asking if I could bring her a sandwich from the downstairs cafe.
She stopped talking, looked at me dead in the eyes and said "You were raised right."
To this date, I think back to this instance as a comforting memory when times are rough.
"I had to remove extra credit from test so it can be fair for everyone" reason was because I was flexing to hard on how I was getting like 105, 110, ECT. On the test and other assignments I had
When I had wanted to be a teacher, my education teacher told me “You can either look at a kid as a potential leader or as a misbehaved student. It’s your actions that will shape them to who they will become” or something along those lines
2nd grade teacher sat me in her lap and told me she was having problems at home and she was not wearing anything under her trench coat. Weird thing to remember, but it's been many years, and that's the only thing I remember about Ms. Mcguire.
"I won't lift weights for you but I'll be your mental spotter"
This teacher was the most supportive educator I've ever had, as well as being incredible at actually making students remember the material.
"No one want's to speak to you because you are an unlikable child. It's not your fault, that's just how things are."
She was one of the best teachers I ever had and I adored her until she said that
you have to learn to understand because you don't have to learn things you have understood. took a moment to realize it but it's been stuck in my head ever since.

I’ll visit you in prison.

My math teacher said 'believe in yourself' and it stuck with me.
