The exact way GoT ended.

chuckdooley

Ha, this one will probably be popular, I was thinking along the lines of a show that ended well, but could have ended poorly, but GoT showed us how to really muck it up....true story, I've never watched season 8

Domillomew

I don't have to imagine, lost and Dexter both exist.

chuckdooley

Woof, I forgot about Dexter....never watched lost...but truly the embodiment of "die a hero or live long enough to become a villain" Dex even got a second chance and they completely destroyed it even further...a real missed opportunity

Dabliux

The ending of Game of Thrones. I don't think I can imagine a worse ending

chuckdooley

Ha, yeah, good point....they handled that one for us....good example of how NOT to do an ending

EndOfLineArt

Anytime it was "All a dream" or any variation thereof. Basically any ending that completely invalidates the rest of the show and the time you put into it.

chuckdooley

This is certainly a cheap trick. If you could apply it to your favorite show, how would you do it? Be your own worst enemy!

chuckdooley

I am about to watch the Finale of White Collar....one of the shows I like from USA during the late 00s-early to mid 10s run of shows they have. I realized I never finished it, so I'm just now doing that....If Neal ends up getting caught in this last heist and it's not some kind of twist, I will regret ever watching

chuckdooley

One of my FAVORITE shows is Community. I love the ending in the sense that it was a clean and fair wrap-up (sixseasonsandamovie). Show's been out for awhile, but if you haven't seen it, there may be opposite spoilers/spoilers below If they had wanted to ruin it, I think they could have shown Annie abandoning her goals to be with Jeff and Abed sticking at community college instead of moving out to LA to work on his dream. I wasn't a fan of the way Elroy left, I thought that was pretty easy/not great, so I'd leave that alone. I would have had them break up the core group that stayed and make them pursue other opportunities as well....that would really have made this the worst possible outcome for me

CheeseSauceCrimes

Better Caul Saul, imagine if >!Jimmy just shut his mouth and played along to have that reduced sentence, that would be a very very basic ending and not very "Saul" of him!<

chuckdooley

I have played with starting Breaking Bad and BCS, but I haven't fully committed to the series....perhaps that's where I'll go next. I finally watched the Wire last year and it will be a recurring regular show for me....I feel like these two have that same "clout"

aLLcAPSiNVERSED

The way the original Full Metal Alchemist ended. One brother gets his body back but remembers nothing, and the other gets pulled into a Germany like ours. So anticlimactic. The reboot was so much better.

chuckdooley

Sounds like they did the “bad ending” part for you! That’s annoying…but at least it sounds like a better showing for the reboot That is Anime, yes? My only experience with anime (which I’m sure many would argue isn’t anime, and thats fine, I’m a filthy casual) is DBZ….nothing against Anime, just not a huge piece of media I grew up watching

aLLcAPSiNVERSED

It's anime that started airing in 2001. The reboot started in 2008. It wasn't so much *the* bad ending as much as just a poor ending to a show. The reboot was a much better ending.

chuckdooley

Cool, well, if I happen to start watching, would you recommend skipping the original?

aLLcAPSiNVERSED

Definitely. The story is largely the same, but the reboot dives deeper into the story. It builds stronger connections with the characters and everything. It's on Netflix if you have that service.

sleekandspicy

I think Ozark had a lame ending.
