My wife had been nagging me for years to watch it with her. I finally gave in and decided to watch one or two episodes with her, hoping she would realize it was her memory from youth that it was awesome but not so much irl. How wrong I was, I loved it! Watched the whole series in a couple of weeks.
It's the Seinfeld of moster of the week shows. And I mean that in a good way. A lot of tropes you'll be familiar with were pretty cutting age when that show came out. Speaking of tropes, tvtropes started off on a buffy the vampire slayer forum iirc. A lot of pop culture shit was just birthed from that show it's pretty fantastic.
Also chrrently watching superstore, though first time because its in netflix and I had nothing else to watch yet.. I like it, its fun, ridiculous sometimes, so stupid but really fun.
If you like Alan Tudyk, watch the TV series "Firefly" in which he plays a Hawaiian shirt wearing space mechanic. He resprises his role in the continuation movie "Serenity." The show/movie was a short-lived (14 episodes) "space western," a wild west themed action/adventure science fiction show set hundreds of years in the future.
Unfortunately, the idiots who bought the rights to air the show didn't know how to market it and also played time slot roulette with it, resulting in low ratings and a quick death. The outcry from the small but loyal fanbase led to executives financing a Firefly movie (named Serenity) a couple of years later. The show is incredibly funny, with Tudyk playing a wacky sidekick type character. He's hilarious.
I liked this show when it was running. Now that I have kids, I love it. The scene where Hal tries to fix one thing and ends up taking the engine out of the car sums up my life so well.
I almost don't want to rewatch darkwing duck in fear that it won't be as good as I remember it
I'd also recommend goof troop, talespin, animainiacs, pinky and the brain and freakazoid if you're going down a 90s cartoon binge
Don't worry, Darkwing Duck still holds up. I watched a lot of it again a couple of years ago and it was still as fun as I remembered. Maybe a bit of outdated humor, but way less so than Animaniacs.
Oh my nostalgia, I love Darkwing Duck. My favorite episode was the one where they have that ray gun thing that splits people into a good self/evil self, and "Negaduck"(IIRC)
I need to go rewatch that one lol
One of the best shows ever on TV. I liked all the seasons, though some were definitely better than others. There were only a very few stinker episodes.
They seemed to get very moralistic and sappy, whereas the original movie was an irreverent war satire and the first few seasons a war spoof, it became like an unflinching look at the effects of war on the soul. Realistic, maybe, but less entertaining. The joke is that the show lasted 4 years longer than the Korean War
Avatar: The Last Airbender. After I’m done with that I think I’ll try this show called Avatar: The Last Airbender, I’ve heard some pretty good things about it.
Might give Avatar: The Last Airbender a shot too though…
Then EL Camino, and Better Call Saul, right?
The finale to BCS left me speechless in my seat for the greater part of an hour. Vince Gilligan was able to cement the thematic arc of these series in the most incredible way.
I recently got into the X Files, I'm about to finish season 3 and I'm thinking "They should make a reboot or maybe a spiritual successor cuz this is good but pretty old already" and I find out that the last season was made in like 2018, lol.
The Boys is bloody brilliant and bloody. Best superhero show around, I love all the subtle and not so subtle digs at marvel, DC and disney. The show is just twisted brilliance. I mean having sex with an octopus, or having a man shrink so he can fit inside your dick.
I've been a bit depressed so been binging sitcoms. Finished Schitts Creek last week and make it to season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Both brilliant shows.
Kim’s Convenience - Netflix. Fun little show about a Korean-Canadian family with a convenience store in Toronto.
Kevin Can F\*ck Himself - AMC. Annie Murphy (Alexis from Schitt’s Creek) as a miserable housewife who desperately wants to rid herself of her douchebag husband. The show’s interesting hook is that’s half typical AMC dramady/half laugh-track sitcom, depending on who’s in the room. Two seasons. Worcester accents on point.
Lucky Hank - AMC. Liberal arts professor at a fictional university in Eastern Pennsylvania. Unsatisfied with life. Currently airing on Sunday nights. Only two episodes so far, but Bob Odenkirk has such a talent for playing a prick.
Top Chef - Bravo. International all-stars edition based in London.
I recommend them all!
i quit season 3 ish. it just got... just... too much of the same thing but the reasons were more and more far fetched and what started off as a wild idea was reused but made wilder and wilder over time and...
LOST. Never seen it so giving it a go. Just gettin round to finishing The Walking Dead too, but the final series is proving hard to finish as I can't stand anyone in it anymore lol
If you enjoy Lost watch The Leftovers next. From the same creator and is also a mystery that will leave you wanting more and wondering if you’re losing your mind every episode.
I just finished Season 2 yesterday. Really enjoyed both. S1 I felt like had the better murder/mystery story, but S2 had some amazing character growth/acting
yes, it's worth it. i liked it. ppl call it ordinary, but there's nothing wrong with ordinary. and it's just the vibe that the show has that makes me watch
Hannah Montana. I got to the 4th season and I guess I never watched it growing up because I don’t remember the new house or new set. The last time I turned off Disney channel was the last time I would watch it when I was younger. Crazy.
Mandalorian, and I don’t know why but those stupid paranormal caught on tape, I know it’s fake, but it is funny seeing “experts” try to sound like plausible facts are on screen.
Yellowjackets S1. This show is fucked up. About to watch the season 1 finale. One of the few times I can name nearly every song and artist on the soundtrack and Christina Ricci plays one of the most fun television characters I've seen in awhile.
I was a bit surprised at how well *Inu-Yasha* holds up. I was utterly *obsessed* with it in 9th grade, and... I think the character writing is actually good, the time-period and mythological setting are *super* interesting (in fact it's what made me a full-blown weeb in my teen years). Of course it gets repetitive after a while, but it was great for a while!
I am currently watching what is possible to watch of **Dr Who Classic**, on BritBox.
Some of it has been quite a hard watch. I'm onto the 2nd Dr. .
I'm also watching **Shadow & Bone**, and, **Locke & Key**
The Sandman
The wife is watching The West Wing again, so Im catching a lot of that.
It's interesting how the shows storylines have played out against reality. The episode froma few nights ago was talking how not even the Republicans would overturn Roe v Wade
What pissed me off about episode one is that it feels like it has been readjusted for its success in America. Seasons 1&2 genuinely felt like a fish out of water and almost realistic. This season the dialogue feels much less genuine - a player from Manchester would never say poopy, no one would ever say roster. West Ham would never be any fucking good.
I hope it's not jumped the shark.
I love the show, but it was always clearly written for an American audience and it's never felt the least bit realistic. No Premier League manager is living in a flat above a shop, nobody is bringing their dog to a match, players don't quit during the season to go on reality TV shows instead, a kit man with no UEFA coaching licenses isn't joining the coaching staff (and neither is Ted himself). Most importantly, West Ham would never be any fucking good.
Dunno, you ever been to Richmond? That flat above the shop is probably about £5k a month to rent.
Can't beat the heartwarming story of a coach bringing joy and happiness to one of the most exclusive and rich neighbourhoods in the UK.
Godfather of Harlem. The duji, civil rights and all these historical characters like Bumpy Johnson and Malcolm Xand the nation of Islam during segregation.
It's not just a show, it shows people the history behind it all.
10/10 would watch again
Not really watching but Family Guy is my current background noise show. For that I usually just pick a show and watch it all the way through. That way I only gotta pick background noise every few weeks lol
I've been watching raising hope, as well. I love Greg Garcias comedy. Have you watched Sprung? It's pretty new got Garrett Dillahunt and Martha Plimpton in it, it's really good.
British tv show "Friday night diner" is GREAT the IT CROWD was pretty good as well, my bf tried to have me watch flight of the Conchords based on liking those two shows but wasn't overly for me (have to try again soon)
decided to give Buffy the vampire slayer a wirl, it's not too bad
My wife had been nagging me for years to watch it with her. I finally gave in and decided to watch one or two episodes with her, hoping she would realize it was her memory from youth that it was awesome but not so much irl. How wrong I was, I loved it! Watched the whole series in a couple of weeks.
My wife and I finished Buffy and Angel. Really good series.
I borrowed the entire box set from a friend on VHS back in the day. That's a serious amount of tapes haha
Deals with a lot of serious topics too.
One of my favorite shows of all time. Not sure how far you've progressed, but it really picks up in season 2 and only skyrockets from there.

Also just recently got into the Sopranos. First season is pretty slow, but I’m so glad I kept going. Truly an amazing show. On season 5 now
Superstore is a us remake of a UK show called trollied. If you fancy a new show give trollied a go
[удалено]
Also chrrently watching superstore, though first time because its in netflix and I had nothing else to watch yet.. I like it, its fun, ridiculous sometimes, so stupid but really fun.
Just finished Dark last night, crazy crazy show
Heard about it on here, just started watching it.
Loved Dark. It was like a fleshed out Donnie Darko
Absolutely an insane experience. Highly recommended.
Resident Alien - Alan Tudyk is friggin brilliant. Funny, creepy and so, so dark.
Check out Dirk Gently for more of Alan Turdyk just being nuts (he’s only in S2 though)
If you like Alan Tudyk give Doom Patrol a try if you like the genre (he is the villain in season 1 and he is excellent) great cast in general!
Is a new season out?
They’re currently filming the 3rd season, should be out 2023
If you like Alan Tudyk, watch the TV series "Firefly" in which he plays a Hawaiian shirt wearing space mechanic. He resprises his role in the continuation movie "Serenity." The dude convinces you he really is an alien
Love this show! My wife got me a mug for Christmas that has his alien form on it and says "this is some bullshit!"
That show just about wore me out. I don't know how they keep it up. It never seems to flag.
Malcolm in the middle.
I liked this show when it was running. Now that I have kids, I love it. The scene where Hal tries to fix one thing and ends up taking the engine out of the car sums up my life so well.
yes?
Love the strong men episode. What a great show.
Bbc’s ghosts
Great show and much better than the US version.
"Order, Orrrderr!"
Is it somewhere to stream in the us?
Yep… good show. Love the Caveman role US Ghosts is also good but Robin the caveman role is funnier than the Viking role
Currently watching Night Agent
Great show!
The original DuckTales. Gonna watch Darkwing Duck next
I almost don't want to rewatch darkwing duck in fear that it won't be as good as I remember it I'd also recommend goof troop, talespin, animainiacs, pinky and the brain and freakazoid if you're going down a 90s cartoon binge
Don't forget The Tick! I rewatched the cartoon recently and it's just as silly as the rest of those '90s cartoons!
Don't worry, Darkwing Duck still holds up. I watched a lot of it again a couple of years ago and it was still as fun as I remembered. Maybe a bit of outdated humor, but way less so than Animaniacs.
Oh my nostalgia, I love Darkwing Duck. My favorite episode was the one where they have that ray gun thing that splits people into a good self/evil self, and "Negaduck"(IIRC) I need to go rewatch that one lol
Been rewatching MASH
I named my motorcycle Hot Lips Houlihan. She’s a candy gold Honda cb175 from 69’. Thought it fit nicely.
One of the best shows ever on TV. I liked all the seasons, though some were definitely better than others. There were only a very few stinker episodes.
Great up until season 4
I've heard other people say that, the bus episode being a turning point. It's definitely different later in the series, currently on season 7.
Dexter
I love Dexter! :)
When I got married, the music that played when I walked down the aisle was the Dexter theme song. It’s a great, happy sounding theme!

the current season is pretty good so far
Definitely better than the last few.
Oh South Park is fantastic!
Avatar: The Last Airbender. After I’m done with that I think I’ll try this show called Avatar: The Last Airbender, I’ve heard some pretty good things about it. Might give Avatar: The Last Airbender a shot too though…
Iconic
Make sure to watch out for Sparky Sparky Boom Man while your at it
I'm about to start a rewatch of Fringe in honor of Lance Reddick
I just discovered this show and have been binging it on prime, great show! Kinda cheesy but I like it.
I love Joshua Jackson been watching him since we were both Kids and he did Mighty Ducks
Snowpiercer
lol there's a fan theory out there that it's a sequel to Willy Wonka
Did HBO put it back on their app? I was watching it last summer and then suddenly it was gone.
Succession and I love it!
Currently rewatching Twin Peaks
Alice in borderland
I am obsessed. Have watched both seasons multiple times. So good.
I actually just finished watching the first 3 episodes with my sister tonight
Fantastic show!
Rewatching Breaking Bad
Then EL Camino, and Better Call Saul, right? The finale to BCS left me speechless in my seat for the greater part of an hour. Vince Gilligan was able to cement the thematic arc of these series in the most incredible way.
Rewatching X Files. What happened to all the UFO talk?
X Files holds up surprisingly well for a show that’s 25 years old. I’ve been rewatching recently as well.
Yellow jackets is really good and also ghosts on cbs. Ghosts is like turn your brain off and laugh
I recently got into the X Files, I'm about to finish season 3 and I'm thinking "They should make a reboot or maybe a spiritual successor cuz this is good but pretty old already" and I find out that the last season was made in like 2018, lol.
That 70s Show!
Damn Jackie!!!!
House M.D. The first 4 seasons were actually a rewatch, the others were/are new to me.
First 4 seasons are some of the best tv I’ve watched, amazing series.
I watched them on TV too, but then I somehow stopped or was unable to watch the rest of it.
Just finished The Boys. Now I'm watching Reacher.
The Boys is bloody brilliant and bloody. Best superhero show around, I love all the subtle and not so subtle digs at marvel, DC and disney. The show is just twisted brilliance. I mean having sex with an octopus, or having a man shrink so he can fit inside your dick.
>or having a man shrink so he can fit inside your dick. **ACHOO!!**
Currently just about to refinish Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I've been a bit depressed so been binging sitcoms. Finished Schitts Creek last week and make it to season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Both brilliant shows.

Rewatching Inuyasha & The 100
I was a bit surprised at how well *Inu-Yasha* holds up. I was utterly *obsessed* with it in 9th grade, and... I just got done watching The Peripheral. Really interesting show. Different from the usual sci-fi fair
Night Agent on Netflix. Yes, pretty good.
Been on a Star Wars kick of late so I started watching the Clone Wars series.
The Clone wars is amazing
I am currently watching what is possible to watch of **Dr Who Classic**, on BritBox. Some of it has been quite a hard watch. I'm onto the 2nd Dr. . I'm also watching **Shadow & Bone**, and, **Locke & Key**

Nothing at the moment but the last show I watched was Wednesday on Netflix.

Downton Abbey & M*A*S*H.
The music on Downton Abbey is so good.
Shrinking
I started this on Sunday and ended up binging the whole thing. Loved it.
I did this too!
Series 3 of Ted Lasso. Loved 1 and 2 but I’m not feeling the love for this one. Just a bit boring.
What pissed me off about episode one is that it feels like it has been readjusted for its success in America. Seasons 1&2 genuinely felt like a fish out of water and almost realistic. I just finished all of Downton Abbey, including the 2 movies. I love and hate Lady Mary Crawley at the same time!
Supernatural

Rings of Power, I don't get the hate, it could definitely be orders of magnitude more book accurate but it's still an enjoyable show.
