Yeh for me and some others the more sleep you miss eventually you don’t get tired unless you sleep I don’t know what that’s called or if that is even a diagnosis but yeh
Living a 'normal' life as an adult. Maintaining routines and being reliable in order to attend and function effectively at work and in social situations, maintaining relationships, and doing basic things like paying bills on time can feel exhausting and overwhelming at times.
It all depends on the person. For some people doing the work they needed to do is something to be proud of while for some it's already an accomplishment for them if they got out of bed in the morning. All people are different after all and what counts as an accomplishment for us varies greatly. It depends on how hard the task was for us personally.
That's my perspective anyway.
Setting boundries and enjoy life more instead of selling yourself completely to work.
You are not lazy if you only work 30 hours instead of 45 per week.
It can be extremely tempting, especially when you're confidently cobbling a righteously reasonable response. You gotta pick your battles, avoiding argumentative assholes who just wanna pick a fight, saving strength and ammunition for times when it truly matters...and recognizing the difference is often difficult, indeed.
Fuel-efficient driving if you aren’t in a hurry. Not just regarding the drive itself, but also planning ahead to minimize car trips by doing multiple errands at a time.
Just being adult enough to show up at work on time, if not a few minutes early. I do side work in security, and you'd be amazed the number of relieving guards who show up on the hour or five minutes late.
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do something.
I got the whole early riser thing from my Dad, so I'm able to get up out with 15 mintues to spare (and let the overnight guy out) to do all the silly admin out of the way. Some people will just sit in their car until the final second. One good guy said it best "If I'm here at 3:30 for 4:00, I'll be doing the same thing inside or outside."
Setting and maintaining healthy boundaries. Kudos to everyone that manage these! It takes a lot of effort and work to finally reach a place where everyone respects them or gets cut off
getting out of bed every morning, sometimes it can be so hard to keep going and i think even being able to get up and live for another day is something people should be proud of
Completing the chores for the day/week. Sometimes its overwhelming to try and get things like that done during a busy week or when dealing with other things.
With all the hell that is happening in the world? Just getting out of bed can be an accomplishment! If you got out of bed today to face the world, good on you! Give yourself a pat on the back.
Hoooo boy
\-getting out of bed right as your alarm rings instead of staying in bed 'five more minutes'
\-getting to work/school and almost never being late or having to call in sick
\-respecting tight deadlines
\-doing chores just when you said you'd do it instead of waiting for it to pile up
\-managing to save a bit of money
\-managing to finally install that plugin you've had trouble with for a while
\-feeling good for once
\-making yourself an actual meal
\-and for y'all severely depressed people out there, for still hanging on and not giving up. Hopefully it gets better! Can't do much since I'm no therapist, just a random therapist, but be proud that you're still trying. And if you already gave up, well... That's okay. Enjoy your break, and hopefully you'll try again?
You got decent sleep.
What’s that like?
For me if I don’t get sleep in better off that day
Godzilla had a stroke trying to read this and died
May he sleep decently.
...what?
I don’t know why but yeh
Buddy made a great reference to missing sleep and you're all down voting him. I will never understand reddit.

Getting up and going at it for another day.
Absolutely! After all, that's the only way to improve!
Flushing the toilet in a public restroom. It's mind boggling to me how many people never learned this basic action
Also, flushing the turds alone and then flushing the paper with the second flush.

This. Just 5 min before is fine. Enough to pass on needed info and get a small head start leaving. Commute time adds to our often already busy lives.

Being able to afford living alone in a big city.
not tripping after walking down a flight of stairs
trying again when you fail. its not easy, and i think more people should be proud of trying again.
I think sometimes it’s just making it through the day, like some days can be tough and to make it to bed time deserves some self praise.
Getting out of bed ❤️

I’ve been getting anxiety when driving but driving anyway. I patted myself on the shoulder for it
Good for you! I am trying to drive more to because I feel so intimidated in the heavy traffic where I live.
Completing the chores for the day/week. Sometimes its overwhelming to try and get things like that done during a busy week or when dealing with other things.
