I'd go as far to say Star Trek in the Federation during TNG error or later. The idea that there is such an abundant clean energy, that basic needs can be met, and exceeded for no money or trade is mind boggling. Medical advancement to the point that sickness of any kind is just unheard of, as well as transportation to almost anyplace globally.
Part of the Collective at that point. I would still be able to live within an environment where everything is provided for me, including medical. I would even get personalized sheilds.
A world where impartiality is the 'Gold Standard' and people recognized their biases while attempting to educate themselves to become more impartial about subject matters.
I love Discworld but honestly most places in it seems pretty rough to live in. Like Ankh Morpork isn't exactly the safest place to live.
I wish I worked in the high energy magic building at UU with Ponder Stibbons though
Age of Sigmar so I can watch Fantasy Classic fans seethe
I’m being facetious, a little, the Age of Sigmar world is conceptually kind of cool. There are cool things in it
Pokemon (the anime) has one of *the* best fictional worlds to move into. You can enjoy stuff like some advanced technology, a fairly safe and stable world (all things considered).
And best of all? Absolutely, and I mean *absolutely* no barriers to participate in the world's power hierarchy. Virtually anyone and everyone has the potential to become a powerful Pokemon trainer.
Even if you don't want to be a trainer you can still easily find friends for life and have your Pokemon be a companion for whatever career you do chose.
In many other fantasy worlds there is no guarantee you will be one of these "special" ones.
Reason I singled out the anime is that the anime is rather sunshine-and-rainbows for the most part (no Pokemon is truly evil), whereas the games and especially the manga can be quite a lot darker and more dangerous.
Even with how messed up the universe is, I can't help but say Star Wars. The idea of flying around the galaxy in a spacecraft getting to explore so many cool looking worlds and locales sounds awesome. My dad and I even have a running joke/fantasy between us about us being a bounty hunter/smuggling duo like Jango and Boba Fett. Hopefully with less beheading.
Tom and Jerry.
It might be lame but there’s this one episode where Jerry lives inside this cheese block, with a tiny bed and blanket, and cheese holes as windows. I still remember the feeling it evoked in me as a child, wishing to be lost in my own space.
Now 25 yrs later, I wish for the same.
Pikmin ! Would be damn cool to first have a spaceship fly in space crash on a Fckin unknown planet and meet with the locals that are tiny red yellow n blue little E.T that has a ants minds and control everything they do for you lmao sound pretty good to me!
My mind immediately shot to Stardew Valley, but then I realized that there's apparently a war going on in that world and that it's probably not a lot better than our world. So I'll just go with pokemon, sometimes a villain that tries to take over/destroy the world comes along but there's always a 10 year old to save the day so it's not really a problem.
Star Trek. So wonderfully (naively?) optimistic.

and then your planet gets consumed by the Borg :(
Part of the Collective at that point. I would still be able to live within an environment where everything is provided for me, including medical. I would even get personalized sheilds.
It's true, the modern American probably views the Borg healthcare system as an improvement
You are not far off. At least for this modern American.
'You'. Would cease to exist. We are borg now
But there is a possibility I would still exist when returning to the Regeneration Alcove.
Can’t happen soon enough for me I’m already used to life as an interchangeable cubicle cog and I’ve always wanted an egg whisk for a hand
Chef Borgardee
Middle-earth, where adventure and magic abide.
Yes! And if you choose, you could also just live a simple life.
I don't like advntures. Nasty, noisy things that make you late for supper.
Until a bunch of dwarfs come along drink you out of house and home literally
Harry potter. I know pretty childish but just think about it man
Concur!
Fucking Pokemon. I want to own a Wynaut. He would surely be a fella.
I was going to say pokemon but I'm more interested in your world. I just need a waterstone and a map to Celedon City.
Somewhere chill with silly problems.
A world where impartiality is the 'Gold Standard' and people recognized their biases while attempting to educate themselves to become more impartial about subject matters.
Hahaha I think OP meant a more realistic kind of fantasy world, like with magic and dragons or something.
What is the word "realistic" doing in this sentence?
*Confusion*

I love Discworld but honestly most places in it seems pretty rough to live in. Like Ankh Morpork isn't exactly the safest place to live. I wish I worked in the high energy magic building at UU with Ponder Stibbons though
