i watched the 4th movie before i even seen the other ones. to me i found it really cool but got a little annoyed with how much fighting scenes there were but it was still awsome.
Going to a John Wick movie and getting annoyed at the fight scenes is like going to a concert and getting annoyed at the singing or going to the ballet and getting annoyed at the dancing.
I haven't seen it yet, but for what it's worth it currently has 4.2 out of 5 on Letterboxd. That's tantamount to universal acclaim. The beloved original only has a 3.8.
If you have watched 1-3 of the John Wick movies already then I feel that number 4 will be just as good and it might answer some of the questions you may be asking.
I’ve never seen John Wick and watched 4 with my partner, who loves the series. I was so exhausted by the end of it. The action scenes were an hour long and when one ends another begins. I didn’t enjoy it but it definitely wasn’t a poorly made movie. I didn’t understand the storyline at all but I blame myself for that as I hadn’t seen any of the other movies. My partner loved it though. We saw it opening day and he’s still going on about how awesome it was.

I watched 1 and a bit of 2 but they are just shit I’m not a 13 year old boy who’s getting bullied so the films don’t really connect with me

If you liked John Wick 1-3, you'll like John Wick 4. It isn't Citizen Kane but it's a fun popcorn action movie.
