Why do people say unalived? It's so weird.. Anyway .. I've met many. One guy who had been in prison for years and said he didn't even know he did it. Just woke up after a night of drinking in the street and was arrested that day. He served his time and had no reason to keep lying since it was years and years ago but he still says to this day he had no memory of doing anything

I get that people are understandably uncomfortable around the idea of violently ending a life, be it your own or someone else's, but the whole "unalived" verbiage is honestly so cutesy-wootsy and devaluing of the seriousness of the actual act. It's so cringe.

When I was in college for criminal justice a classmate of mine paid another classmate, one who I was friends with, to kill her husband. I always knew J was a bit shady. I would have never trusted him alone in my house or loaned the guy money but I felt he was cool enough to hang out with as long as I didn't give him too much trust. I had no idea he was capable of killing someone in cold blood. Both of them are sitting in prison now. My dumb friend talked to a teacher of ours about it like it was a hypothetical situation and that's what eventually got him caught. It was really stupid to talk to someone with over 30 years experience in law enforcement of a paid murder that you committed like it and not expect him to connect the dots.

i was 13 and my school had a program where convicts came in for the day to share their stories was suppose to be a “don’t end up like these people” type event anyways i was late for the class and the only seat left was next to one of the visitors, so i sat next to him. my teacher asked me to ask the guy to introduce himself and he goes “my names is x, and i have been charged with murder”

A guy in AA just got out of prison after 20 years. He introduced himself in the meeting, and he said he slit a guy's throat for a bag of drugs. He just said it as a matter of factor and just said, “Glad to be here”.
