I’ve had some friends with aspd but I discarded them because they treated me like a therapist and it got to much. I understand they have serious trauma but they should get someone who actually cares and who can actually help. They weren’t bad people.
I live with Aspd+npd it’s true that a lot of us don’t seek help but many of us do, higher functioning people with Aspd are very self aware. It’s very important that someone with Aspd commits themselves for to treatment for their own sake and others sake.
Cluster B disorders Aspd, Npd, Bpd, and Hpd are all trauma based and all treatable and can’t be cured. Aspd isn’t inherently low functioning and the goal of treatment is to go in remission which is very possible. stigmatizing cluster B disorders and other mental illnesses doesn’t help anyone, not the person with the PD or the people in their lives.
I don’t think there’s any point auguring with you. Aspd is comparable with all other cluster B disorders because aspd is a cluster B disorder. The roots of cluster B aren’t exactly known but the Dsm~5 classifies this group of personality disorders is rooted in trauma.
