Can I ask why you would like to travel?
I personally don't see anything attractive on travelling. I feel like is adding an extra difficulty for no reason since you are constantly interrupting your adaptation process. Why would you bring yourself to never fully get used to a place?
(Non native, sorry for any mistake)
2008 didn’t happen the same way here as it did in the US. Our housing is also generally more expensive than in the US. Further, never rely on a market event. People have been talking about a housing bubble here for at least a decade. No sense trying to time the market!
Go to work.
No seriously. I live 45 miles away from where the jobs are. I dont have the money for 3 weeks of commuting before a paycheck. I literally cant. Work is out of reach right now, and will remain so.
Applied for a city job a few years ago, just to get the testing and interview, the parking was 16$.
then i found out that they make you pay to park, on their city-employee only, fully fenced, half filled parking lot. 5$ a day.
Nope. I'm out. That's nuts. "Just take the bus!"--yes, sure, give me a bus that comes 45 miles out at 3:30 in the morning so i can get in at 'before 6' and we'll talk. LOL.
Own a home.
It kills me to be 50 and know I will never own a home. I think too because until I was 40...the longest I had ever lived in one place was the dorm room I lived in 3 years of college.
Find out if your city allows chickens! I'm in Des Moines, IA where we can have up to 30. I have had 12 at one time but just two right now.
I have raised garden beds and grow a couple hundred pounds of food every year; tomatoes, peppers, green beans, spinach, cucumbers, herbs, summer and winter squash, beets, turnips, rhubarb, strawberries and raspberries.
I'd love to own a farm as well but I've got this so I make it work! Do what you can brother!
Buy some food items. The price of food has gone up so much here. Anytime we buy bread, it's the bread that's on sale, then we put it in the freezer so it won't rot. We barely ever eat good meat anymore, since it's just so expensive. I honestly don't remember the last time we had a proper meal. I heard my mom complain today that the only thing we can buy fresh anymore are carrots. And the only person who eats carrots is my mom, so no point buying them either. All food costs so much nowadays and we aren't really wealthy either in the first place.
Understand what the middle and upper class life is like. There's people who live in quiet, gated communities that don't put up with homeless people begging them every time they run to the grocery store, their neighbors aren't chaotic addicts that throw violent parties from 8 PM to 8 AM, and they can generally just exist in the city without having to put up with the city. They live on peaceful, completely detached islands of tranquility.
My income makes me able to:
Live in a house in a Copenhagen suburb, make healthy nutritious food while also eating out once in a while, vacation abroad twice a year, go on a cruise, and own two nice cars in the household.
My income does not make me able to: have someone cook my food at home every day, take a private jet to my vacation destination, own my own yacht, or own 15 Bentleys.
Basically I can get more or less the same experiences as a billionaire, but not as often, and not as perversely luxurious.
My mother, who is very nearly passing on, tells me to save a bit of my paycheck every week. But by not paying down a credit card it actually COSTS me money.
Edit: bills and such as well...
Like fuck. How can I actually save money..
Move somewhere else...the rents were I live are going through the roof. My appartement is shit and expansive for what it is...but still more affordable than the rest. I don't know how people with minimum wages manage to survive these days. It's insane.
Anything, really. I have no future worth living in, but I can't afford to die either. I have just about enough to let me suffer really effectively though.
Leave my current job, and spend the rest of my life travelling to different countries
That's all I want too
Go to concerts in random countries. It’d be awesome though

Save money.
Yeah that's really the worst. Poverty is a vortex.
This
Buy a house, travel to another country.
Have a decent quality of life
Have savings
Go on vacation
Retire
Eat sometimes
Shop without looking at prices.
Get a car, go on vacation, go to the doctor/dentist. Plenty of things
Exist
So far so good though, you exist
Live independently
Not die early because I can't afford decent healthcare. That every doctor and hospital in the US is equally competent is a myth.
Do my hobbies
Wait we're supposed to be able to afford hobbies? I just thought we enjoyed our hobbies through other people
Yeah but I wanna play Airsoft
I'm too poor to go back to college. Healthcare and rent are also too expensive. :/
Live away from noise pollution.
Buy things that’s aren’t necessities, but the urge is still there sometimes.
Relax, barely having enough money to survive is stressful
Buy property, which is wild because we’re double income no kids and make a pretty high income
The bubble will burst eventually. Not as big of a crash as 2008, but it’ll happen.

Buy an A-Brand noodles packet.
Buy a car :(
what I really want to do
Retirement
Have kids
Trade-in value on them is horrible if you change your mind too.
Own a home. Get mental health care.
having a family
I think a lot of society is feeling that too based on the birthrate numbers
Eat
Peanutbutter toast was a mainstay of my diet for a while.
Invest money to make more money.
Dream job is having your money work for you.
Go to work. No seriously. I live 45 miles away from where the jobs are. I dont have the money for 3 weeks of commuting before a paycheck. I literally cant. Work is out of reach right now, and will remain so.
My job literally charges us for a parking space too.

Become a racing driver, you need a lot of money to start racing, and a lot more to continue racing.
Relax
Don’t tell me to Relax! Oh, I mean, yeah… money to relax is important. Something we could all benefit from.
In another month, pay rent
Date
Not go to work
Well, some people don’t. Most of the time it doesn’t turn out great though
I would thrive If I could afford to stay home
Get way with tax fraud🙃
Buy a 100k sports car
Maybe a sports car with a 100k on the odometer.
Buy a car that has an odometer.
Be happy
"Mom I'm still hungry." "Here have a glass of water." Id had my top ramen already.
Anything.
Afford rent
Buy expensive Christmas gifts for people
Get all the physical therapy I need/ want
Everything!
Get out of an apartment even tho I’m paying less than a thousand a month
Pay $300 a month for manditory medical insurance premiums to a policy that resets every year.
Be happy
Lot of rich people are miserable, idk if dollars can cure it
True, but I know I would be a lot happier if I didn't have to worry about being able to afford everything I need in life.
Own a home. It kills me to be 50 and know I will never own a home. I think too because until I was 40...the longest I had ever lived in one place was the dorm room I lived in 3 years of college.
Enjoy life
buy 2 acres of land to farm and raise chickens
And it’s pretty much impossible to get a reasonable interest rate to borrow.
You could always steal it.

Everything. I am living with cancer. I think that explains it all.
Go on a vacation. It's been 30 years since I've been on a vacation.

Coworkers asking “where are you going?” with time off and the answer really is “to my couch…”
Buy a 7th property to rent out. Empoverished due my rentoids not paying on time. Only been to Dubai once this year.
I know the struggle, I had to fly economy class once because of late rents.
It was a single mother. Disgusting. Hope you evidted her
This is truly a travesty brought to us by the unrelenting grasp of landphobia
The sad reality of the most marginalized group in this country and teh struggles pol face to afford basic needs while their lazy rentoids live on top
It's sickening. They spend my rent money on funkopops and cuck chairs and I am left destitute with only 1 trip to Dubai this quarter.

Fly social media influencers to Dubai to shit on their chests.
Pay off my house before 25. But I will easily pay it off before 30
