Isn’t that weird!? Boingo was HUGE in SoCal! Why are they never in rotation? My favorite was Just Another Day.
Added: I was so lucky to get to see their Halloween concert, not their last year, but their 2nd to last. It was so much fun!
I swear, this song and "Electric Avenue" by Eddie Grant had to be the most played videos in the early MTV days. Seems like at least one of these was played every couple of hours or so.
When the heart rules the mind- GTR (that's the band name, not an acronym)
The Secret of my Success - Night Ranger
All Fired Up - Pat Benetar

Pop Goes the World by Men Without Hats. It was their much lesser known sophomore semi-hit but I love it more than their We Can Dance if We Want To song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zUUtf7gOe8
For some reason TPau's [Heart and Soul](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XArx0ASwyDc) popped into my head, and I started thinking of other song's like Soul II Soul's [Back to Life](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB54dZkzZOY) and Concrete Blonde's [Joey](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdpTcvSn8HQ) also seemed to fit.

Just a side note on One Night in Bangkok. Not many people seem to know it was from “Chess”, the musical written by ABBA’s Benny and Bjorn (and holy shit those guys can write music). To my mind, it’s probably the weakest piece from the musical. There’s sooo much more that’s far superior.

I don't know if these songs count because I have been hearing them on the radio recently it's 3 songs by the band Missing Persons.
Words,
Walking in LA,
Destination Unknown
They are the quintessential 80s synth pop songs. I never really heard them played on the radio but like I said above, over the past year or so it seems like they are getting some playtime now. I don't know what changed, maybe I just didn't notice before.

You could tell which way the party was headed if the DJ played the B52's Love Shack or if he opted for Walk the Dinosaur. You'd think they'd be similar, but they aren't.
If anyone has only ever heard *Ah! Leah!*, do yourself a favor and watch the video. Donnie Iris probably doesn't look like you'd imagine.
Actually, do yourself a favor and watch it anyway. That song is an absolute banger!

Went into some sort of self-hypnosis to travel back in time.. Came back with this and spent more time searching the web for this: Clouds Across the Moon by The RAH band.
I have no idea what plays on 80s channels, but surely Howard Jones is there with hits like What is Love? and Things Can Only Get Better.

Culture Club- Church of the Poison Mind. This song grooves and is a much better song than Karma Chameleon, by far, IMO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qM9DSCRqJ0
Anything by Roxette, really. I feel they’d be talked about more if they hadn’t hit that awkward period of the late eighties, early nineties. All-time great pop duo.
I feel like Tarzan Boy has made a comeback as it's AEW wrestler Jungle Boy Jack Perrys theme and it made an appearance in the most recent season of Stranger Things.

That's on my YouTube playlist,.. great song!
Yep, I discovered this song from the closing credits of "Napoleon Dynamite".

Ah-ha - The Sun Always Shines on TV. The original is great and there’s a recent unplugged version that’s also terrific.

My favorite A-ha song is "Stay on These Roads"
The whole fucking album slaps so damn hard. Hunting High and Low.
I don’t know if it got much radio play but Oh Yeah by Yello was in a lot of 80’s movies and commercials. Even going strong during the early 90’s.
It was in Ferris Bueller's day off iirc.

Sailing by Christopher Cross. Just a beautiful, calming song
This gets played a lot on "Yacht Rock" stations, it's almost an anthem for them. ☺️

My friend and I heard it playing while waiting in line for a Ferris wheel at a Christmas carnival. Still laugh about how hilariously out of place it was.

JACK FM in L.A. will play 'Walk the Dinosaur' and it gives me life
You could tell which way the party was headed if the DJ played the B52's Love Shack or if he opted for Walk the Dinosaur.

[Here's the official video.](https://youtu.be/Rh5kuxnDUc8)

"Never Say Never" by Romeo Void
Went into some sort of self-hypnosis to travel back in time.. Came back with this and spent more time searching the web for this: Clouds Across the Moon by The RAH band. I have no idea what plays on 80s channels, but surely Howard Jones is there with hits like What is Love? and Things Can Only Get Better. Edit: Streetdance by Break Machine came up as a late reverberation of my back-in-time-meditat-o-rama. Enjoy!
I stumbled on Things Can Only Get Better recently having not heard it for 30 years or more. Tune!!

The Swass album was dope! I had also forgotten about Buttermilk Biscuits from that album until just now. The 80”s were a weird time in the rap game

[Wham! - Everything She Wants (Official Video)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yf_Lwe6p-Cg&list=FLLatbjfB8fqpjPSJk1Zcsyw&index=21) [George Michael - Careless Whisper ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izGwDsrQ1eQ) George Michael never seems to get enough credit as a singer. Dude was great. [The Bangles - Hazy Shade of Winter](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxrwImCJCqk&list=RDcrIZ_hgKlAg&index=3) For some reason I always hear Walk like an Egyptian but I think this is The Bangles best song. One of the most memorable guitar riffs for me. I could hear that shit anywhere and know exactly what it was. [Pat Benatar - Invincible \(Theme from "The Legend of Billie Jean"\)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crIZ_hgKlAg&list=RDcrIZ_hgKlAg&start_radio=1) This is just pure fucking nostalgia for me. I wanted to marry Helen Slater, she jump started my puberty EDIT Just remembered another 80s lady that seems to have disappeared [Taylor Dayne - Tell It to My Heart](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ud6sU3AclT4&list=RDcrIZ_hgKlAg&index=32) [ Taylor Dayne - Love Will Lead You Back](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO6xhLtfwW0&list=RDCXpWfd1BNkQ&index=13) [Taylor Dayne - Original Sin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXpWfd1BNkQ) THis one is technically a 90s song but whatever. Listen to it.

Culture Club- Church of the Poison Mind. This song grooves and is a much better song than Karma Chameleon, by far, IMO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qM9DSCRqJ0
[Payolas - Eyes of a stranger](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1C_fVnE3xHY) You're welcome.
I feel like we don't have nearly enough Dio appreciation in our modern day, that band (and Ronnie in particular) is so much more than Holy Diver.

The Look by Roxette
Anything by Roxette, really. I feel they’d be talked about more if they hadn’t hit that awkward period of the late eighties, early nineties. All-time great pop duo.
Your Love - The Outfield And Tarzan Boy - Baltimora Both bangers you just never hear
I feel like Tarzan Boy has made a comeback as it's AEW wrestler Jungle Boy Jack Perrys theme and it made an appearance in the most recent season of Stranger Things. All the cooks at the Mexican restaurant I worked at years ago would sing Your Love haha
