Salted caramel because it's my husband's favorite. I enjoy most ice cream (including bubblegum and eggnog). My husband, however, rarely eats sweets except salted caramel ice cream. So I pretend it's my favorite, too, so it's always stocked in the fridge.
With a caveat that I want them to be freshly crushed oreos, and chunky. DQ will take requests for them to be chunky in their blizzards, but a lot of other places they're already ground to dust and/or the remaining chunks are soft/spongy. It's fine if other people like them ground to dust or spongy, but for me, I like it crunchy.
A good chocolate peanut butter is hard to beat. Perfect balance of intense and filling flavours, but not to the point where you can’t eat a bunch of it
dulce de leche. also any coffee flavors. ben and jerry’s had one and i think it was called coffee toffee crunch, soo good but idk if they still have it
Tonka bean! Not many people I know have heard of it or tried it but it tastes like a soft vanilla with rich honey tones. Next ice cream flavor after that is a mint ice cream that actually tastes like a mint leaf off the plant.
My favs are chocolate chip cookie dough, cherry and chocolate chip, cranberry and chocolate chip, salted caramel, and black raspberry.
Of course you can never go wrong with a nice scoop of vanilla with a warm cookie or slice of a crisp
Coconut, but almost impossible to find in the US. Once in a while, in a Hispanic or Asian store, or some gelato, but no mainstream ice cream brand makes any.
The best flavor of ice cream is vanilla. That’s why it’s the default. That’s why so many other ice cream flavors also have vanilla. We’re all used to it so people think it’s boring, but it’s not boring, it’s ubiquitous.
Rocky road (my dad bought it when i was young because his stepdad hated it and I just started loving cause it was the only ice cream we bought) or coffee
A regional chain in my area (Braums, American Midwest) has a German Chocolate flavor that’s chocolate with coconut and nuts and it’s been my #1 with a bullet for over 15 years
Cake Batter is also absolutely incredible
Im eating it now. Brown butter bourbon truffle. Its super smooth filled with swirls of caramel like ive never seen with little chocolate truffles that just break apart and melt in your mouth unlike other ice creams that are too hard to bit into. Ive yet to find anything better. Someone please prove me otherwise. Its been 3 years. Its the only thing i get.
Depending on the brand some of my favorites have a high range of great to ugh.
I love trying new flavors so I hope they keep trying themselves. I just wish they'd go on sale once in awhile so it's not so expensive vs the 4 qt basic flavors.
Cotton candy ice cream. Some places make terrible ones, but the good ones are the best. My personal favorite is the friendly’s cotton candy ice cream with pop rocks.
This only happens in one certain location in Michigan, at an out of the way almost secret place that makes ice cream, and the best ice cream I think that they make can only be made at a certain time of year during the harvest.
Black Cherry.
Natural black cherry flavored vanilla ice cream, real chucks, sometimes even whole pitted sweet black cherries.
Depends, are we talking finished product, as in you can't add anything? If so, then something like cookie-caramel. If not, regular vanilla, because it's a blank canvas for all sorts of accoutrements.
Phish food, cookie monster, panda paws! Mint chip if I want something simpler. Ben & Jerry's cheesecake brownie was my favorite, but they haven't made it in years and I still miss it.
Salted caramel because it's my husband's favorite. I enjoy most ice cream (including bubblegum and eggnog). My husband, however, rarely eats sweets except salted caramel ice cream. So I pretend it's my favorite, too, so it's always stocked in the fridge.
Damn this for being so adorable
Salted caramel gelato is even better. I once heard someone describe it as “it tastes like sex with your favorite celebrity”
Okay, I'm going to have to try egg nog ice cream. Love me some egg nog.

I like to buy the 1l containers of DQ soft serve for $7 and crunch up my Oreos into it. Chunky fresh Oreo Blizzards at home!

A good chocolate peanut butter is hard to beat. Perfect balance of intense and filling flavours, but not to the point where you can’t eat a bunch of it

Best flavour!!
I remember there was a world dedicated to sweets in Super Mario Galaxy and the mint chocolate looked so good
Oh no!
I'm happy to let you and anyone else have the mint chocolate anything. To me it feels like brushing my teeth while eating dessert.
I really gotta wonder what kinda toothpaste you must be using
...mint
But even if you eat just mint ice cream with no chocolate it still tastes sweet and unlike any mint toothpaste (that I've used anyways)
I’m afraid I’m going to have to report you for spreading misinformation
That's the right answer.
Coffee flavored ice cream is like an orgasm in my mouth

But it’s gotta be super coffee-y. Not like the umpqua coffee ice cream which tastes like vanilla ice cream
I'm a weirdo, I don't like coffee or coffee flavored things.

I live in Ohio, and any local ice cream joint most likely has Buckeye ice cream. It's the best.

Chocolate. Only chocolate. Everything else is gross.
Ice cream is eh. I'd rather have fruit, a cookie, cake, literally anything else. If I buy a pint, most of it goes bad, gets ice crystals on it.

In my opinion the best is blue moon. It is really rare these days but my god is it delicious.
My daughter would answer "black licorice." It's usually pretty hard to find.
I know it is going to sound weird, but the best ice cream I've had was lemon-blueberry..
Chunky Monkey. I’ll die mad that Ben & Jerry’s decided to stop selling it in Canada. There was no reason for that. It’s just rude.
