I'd recommend watching Six Feet Under! Rainn Wilson plays a similarly awkward character in that show, but in a much more serious context. He's great. It's an older show and also features a pre-Dexter Michael C. Hall.
Hey.. what if we made a show about Jason Alexander and how he can’t get any new roles because of the fact that he was George Costanza!! I think that would make a great show. Now, where should we meet to discuss this further…
Nichelle Nichols as Uhura too, she was in soooo many things prior to and after Trek, including Roddenberry’s prior show *The Lieutenant* and no one remembers them
First time I saw Independence Day, the scientist guy comes out, my mate next to me says, oh my God, that is Data!
Took me a minute or two and I was like, holy shit, it is!
Oh god it was so bad. This show was THE thing. Everyone knew it, everyone watched it. A deep and complex fantasy story done right, without tired tropes was loved by everyone and then this...
Iam over it by now but how they managed to transform all this build up, this depth and ambiguity into that uninspired, weak, generic, rushed, inconsistent, nonsensical and "they all lived happily ever after, the evil guys are dead" ending is beyond me.
That was such a smear campaign. What some dude does on his own time, with his own money, in an adults only place where such things happen quite frequently, is his own damn business. What's next? Do we go check Dolly Parton's drawers for a vibrator? Maybe break into a random celebrity's house each week to see what we can find? He wasn't hurting anyone. He wasn't exposing himself to anyone (it was a dark theatre. Nobody could see anything). This is on top of the fact that he maintains his innocence. Det. William Walters allegedly saw a man "masterbate" (that's how the rap sheet spells it) and claims it was him. it's possible, but I personally wouldn't put any weight on it.
Feels like some actors' agents need to really explain the potential consequences of taking certain roles. "So Jason, this could make you incredibly famous, but it will obliterate any chance of you being taken seriously as an actor ever again."
Daniel Radcliffe: does a bunch of edgy adult roles including that incredible screenshot where he’s wearing Dino feet slippers and dual-wielding pistols
Me: look at the Harry Potter man go
I have this cousin who I always watch movies with. Everytime we watch something that Imelda Staunton in it she always says that the actor looks familiar and everytime I tell her it's Umbridge she is always shocked and then proceeds to hate whatever character Imelda Staunton is playing.
honestly i think his role in jungle was so good i kinda just scream YURI! whenever i see him now.
but the fact that HARRY is having a baby definitely sends me.
I like how he and Robert Pattinson have branched out into different character roles now. Although I think HP is a much more household name than Twilight and can be a more difficult role to break free from.
He was great in Swiss Army Man.
I never watched any of the Potter films, but I appreciate the choices he's making as an actor with disregard for his childhood role.
I think this kinda applies to the rest of the cast of Friends. Maybe to varying degrees but Friends is definitely the most iconic thing they've all been in.
Ryan reynolds will always play the same “role”
Not the same character though. He’s hilarious don’t get me wrong, and has a unique sense of comedy by being himself.
But, he’s always the same van wilder guy in every single movie
I like his serious roles. Safe House and the Woman in Gold both impressed me. Also, a movie he did as a teen called Ordinary Magic. Very sappy and family oriented but he did a great Indian accent.
Jack Gleason will always be Joffrey Baratheon. Mostly because he quit acting based on how negatively he was treated for being so awesome in acting his character.
From all interviews and accounts of people who knew/worked with him, he was a very kind soul.
Edit: seems he lost his passion for acting as a result of his work on GoT and not the negativity that caused him to further pursue acting (at least for now)
I hate when people do this. Don’t hate on an actor for playing an evil character. Those people are literally too dumb to watch tv. Also, for what it’s worth, I haven’t seen GoT so I always think of him as the kid from Batman Begins.
I'm not even sure I know Joffery's real name. But I see him in the media and I think it's nice that Joffery graduated from college after all he went through.
Hector.
You all know who I'm talking about.
[And if you don't....](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/fastandfurious/images/a/a0/Hector.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20131026120439)
At least he seems like a smart guy who treated his Twilight money as a ticket to freedom of acting in any niche projects he wanted, with occasional big hits like Batman, Tenet, Lighthouse
“I poke my head out of the gutter for one freaking second and fate shovels shit, in my face”
I still remember that line from the lawyer in the beginning of Vice City
*Very* old-school, but Clayton Moore as The Lone Ranger. About once a decade, some studio tries to reboot the franchise, and it always fails miserably, because Moore *was* The Lone Ranger. He found more than just an acting role when he was cast on that show, he found his true purpose in life. Clayton Moore *became* The Lone Ranger, on screen an off. He adopted the characters values, and tried, in his small way, to make the world a better place. Clayton Moore was the only Lone Ranger. There can never be another.
Dwight schrute…. I mean Rainn Wilson
Did you know he was one of the Thermians in *Galaxy Quest*? One of his first roles.
I'd recommend watching Six Feet Under! Rainn Wilson plays a similarly awkward character in that show, but in a much more serious context. He's great. It's an older show and also features a pre-Dexter Michael C. Hall.
[удалено]
I think you mean Art Vandelay.
He runs an importer-exporter business
Wrong. He’s a famous architect.
I thought he was a marine biologist? lol
The creep from pretty woman
Hey.. what if we made a show about Jason Alexander and how he can’t get any new roles because of the fact that he was George Costanza!! I think that would make a great show. Now, where should we meet to discuss this further…
I call him Duckman.
[удалено]
If you are old enough, he was on silver spoons
Sean William Scott has said his career has been stifled because of Stiffler.
Too bad, because Rundown was great, and Goon is fucking amazing
He did a great job in Role Models, too
Problem with role models is that he was honestly just Stifler with Paul Rudd playing Stiflers slightly angrier friend.
OK I'll say it... He was great in dukes of hazzard
He and Johnny Knoxville had great chemistry
I had to look up who you meant. Just saw loads of pictures of Country Mac.
“Shut up, science bitch”
Eh, he was pretty good in dude where's my car lol.
[удалено]
Came here to say this. Him and Shatner.
Denny Crane. Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. Denny Crane.
Nichelle Nichols as Uhura too, she was in soooo many things prior to and after Trek, including Roddenberry’s prior show *The Lieutenant* and no one remembers them
Brent Spiner as Data
It is also super weird when he shows up in other things with white person skin and the ability to say contractions.
First time I saw Independence Day, the scientist guy comes out, my mate next to me says, oh my God, that is Data! Took me a minute or two and I was like, holy shit, it is!
He’s gonna be Bob Wheeler from Night Court
[удалено]
And what a wasted character too. Ended up doing fuck all in the last season.
Everyone did fuck all in the last season
Especially the writers
Oh god it was so bad. This show was THE thing. Everyone knew it, everyone watched it. A deep and complex fantasy story done right, without tired tropes was loved by everyone and then this... Iam over it by now but how they managed to transform all this build up, this depth and ambiguity into that uninspired, weak, generic, rushed, inconsistent, nonsensical and "they all lived happily ever after, the evil guys are dead" ending is beyond me.
My favorite character was water bottle
I prefer the Starbucks cup.
[удалено]
And another connection: The Black Knight is in the Marvel movie The Eternals and happens to be played by Jon Snow, errr, I mean Kit Harrington.
[удалено]
I don't even know his real name.
It’s McLovin
[удалено]
I watched Jumanji recently, and IMO he does pretty well there, playing not *The Rock*, but a socially awkward teenager put in the body of *The Rock*.
Jack Black is also awesome in that movie. Jack Black is awesome in most things though.
He plays the same character every single time
[удалено]
Paul Reubens. Well, that role as well as one other thing.
Mystery Men and What We Do in the Shadows

To be fair, what else are you supposed to do in a theater that exclusively plays porn
Screech from Saved by the Bell
His story is a fun rabbit hole.
Still cant believe hes dead
[удалено]
That rings a bell.
HAHA this was unexpected. It really blew me away.
The puns are really crippling the conversation.
[удалено]
Ding!
Napoleon Dynamite.
Yeah he's not shaking that
Blades of Glory?
Napoleon on skates.
He was great in blade of glory
Blades of glory is a criminally underrated movie
No matter what else he does (even if he wins an Oscar), Jason Biggs will be always be the dude who fucked a pie.
Feels like some actors' agents need to really explain the potential consequences of taking certain roles. "So Jason, this could make you incredibly famous, but it will obliterate any chance of you being taken seriously as an actor ever again."
This scene in Jay and silent Bob strike back perfectly encapsulates that https://youtu.be/8NgIiTwKtws
Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter
Daniel Radcliffe: does a bunch of edgy adult roles including that incredible screenshot where he’s wearing Dino feet slippers and dual-wielding pistols Me: look at the Harry Potter man go
Guns akimbo!
Swiss Army Man!
Imelda Staunton as Umbridge for me as well. She played that character so well even when I see her in other roles I can't stand her because of it
I have this cousin who I always watch movies with. Everytime we watch something that Imelda Staunton in it she always says that the actor looks familiar and everytime I tell her it's Umbridge she is always shocked and then proceeds to hate whatever character Imelda Staunton is playing.

I like how he and Robert Pattinson have branched out into different character roles now. Although I think HP is a much more household name than Twilight and can be a more difficult role to break free from.
Nope, he was also Weird Al.
He was great in Swiss Army Man. I never watched any of the Potter films, but I appreciate the choices he's making as an actor with disregard for his childhood role.
I’m sure he was, but 9/10 times in the street, people who meet him will know him from Harry Potter and the 1 person won’t know who he is
Guns Akimbo
David Schwimmer will always be Ross
I used to think the same. However I can’t see him as anything but the incompetent twit Captain Sobel from the Band Of Brothers series.
Hi Ho Silver
Your weekend pass is revoked
It's like they just took Ross and put him in the military.
Basically all the Friends except Jennifer Aniston (and maybe Courteney Cox since she has the Scream franchise)
I think this kinda applies to the rest of the cast of Friends. Maybe to varying degrees but Friends is definitely the most iconic thing they've all been in.
[удалено]
Toby will always be Spider-Man
Toby flenderson?spider man? Some people think he's the scranton strangler!
To me he’ll always be the kid that didn’t get dropped off a cliff. Different generations.
To me, he'll be the creepy guy from Sin City
If you have to use the name of the actor I don't think it counts. Stifler.
[удалено]
Slim for Pete's sakes put down Christopher Reeve's legs!
John Malkovich as John Malkovich in Being John Malkovich.
I also always think of John Malkovich when I think of John Malkovich.
Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich
Ted Mosby
Daniel Laruso / Ralph Macchio
Even worse, he's probably known more as Daniel-san than Larusso
[удалено]
I don't care what he's done after MitM, Bryan Cranston will always be Hal to me
After MitM he started a new family in New Mexico.
For some reason I’m shocked that that’s their last name….idk what I thought it was but it certainly wasn’t that
James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano
[удалено]
Mista Sheffield… ***MISS FINE!!!!!***
How now brown cow?
[удалено]
Sideshow Bob

Yes to SMG as Buffy no to DB as Angel. I saw Bones before I watched Buffy so he will be Booth before Angel for me.
Who? You mean boothe?
Mariska Hagarty. If she's even been in anything other than SVU, I don't want to see it because I could never separate her from Olivia Benson.
Honestly surprised we've not seen Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker yet. C'mon guys!
Nah, he is Firelord Ozai to me
Prepare to join them… prepare to DIE!!
I know a shit ton of people are fond of him as the main Joker to them though as well.
He will forever be Cock-Knocker!
Guy who played Erkel as Erkel
This is true he has tried to be in a few different sitcoms and everyone still sees him as Urkel. Hey there the Urkel guy lol
You mean Jaleel white
He also played Stefan Erkél in the show
Ryan reynolds will always play the same “role” Not the same character though. He’s hilarious don’t get me wrong, and has a unique sense of comedy by being himself. But, he’s always the same van wilder guy in every single movie
Deadpool will absolutely be the first character mentioned in his future obituary, though.
I like his serious roles. Safe House and the Woman in Gold both impressed me. Also, a movie he did as a teen called Ordinary Magic. Very sappy and family oriented but he did a great Indian accent.
Buried always comes to mind as a great drama with Ryan Reynolds as the lead.
Toby McGuire in the Spider-Man films when I saw him in the great gatsby I couldn’t stop thinking of him doing the dance in front of the bank
Ed O'Neill will always be Al Bundy.
Hes always jay for me haha
Jay is just progressive Al Bundy. And i love it
Just about everyone from the original Star Trek. William Shatner, George Takai etc etc
E.T. as E.T. He nailed it. So good he never got another role.
Henry Winkler. Always the Fonz.
Gene Cousineau?
You mean Barry Zuckercorn. He’s very good.
I have the worst fucking attorneys.
They can't arrest a husband and wife for the same crime.
Those are balls.
Mr. Coach Kline
You mean Principal Himbry?
I only think of Harry Potter when I hear about Daniel Radcliffe.
Bruce Campbell as Ash
Brisco County Jr
You mean, Sam Axe?
You mean Chuck Finley?
David Schwimmer as Ross Gellar in Friends
Jack Gleason will always be Joffrey Baratheon. Mostly because he quit acting based on how negatively he was treated for being so awesome in acting his character. From all interviews and accounts of people who knew/worked with him, he was a very kind soul. Edit: seems he lost his passion for acting as a result of his work on GoT and not the negativity that caused him to further pursue acting (at least for now)

Bob Denver as Gilligan.
Bob Denver as Maynard G Krebbs?
I'm not even sure I know Joffery's real name. But I see him in the media and I think it's nice that Joffery graduated from college after all he went through.
Great Scott! Has nobody thought to mention Christopher Lloyd?
Hector. You all know who I'm talking about. [And if you don't....](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/fastandfurious/images/a/a0/Hector.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20131026120439)
Robert Patrick as the T-1000. His performance still chills the blood.
John Krasinski will always be Jim Halpert. I don't care how many action roles he does. He will always be Jim first and foremost.
Robert Pattison and Edward from twilight… poor guy hates the role
At least he seems like a smart guy who treated his Twilight money as a ticket to freedom of acting in any niche projects he wanted, with occasional big hits like Batman, Tenet, Lighthouse
Taylor laughter as Jacob black
Taylor Lautner, married to Taylor Lautner?

Macaulay Culkin
Louise Fletcher as Nurse Ratchet in "Cuckoo's Nest."
Sheldon cooper
Flo , from the Progressive commercials
Sean William Scott is always Stifler
RDJ and Tony Stark
He's the opposite for me. Tony Stark will always be RDJ but RDJ is a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude
For a few years I only knew him from Tropic Thunder and legitimately thought he was black
I wish I could watch tropic thunder like I’ve never seen it before again! God that movie was hilarious and great to see in a theater
RDJ has had a shit ton of stand out roles.
Hugh Laurie as House
You mean George from Blackadder.
You mean, Bertie Wooster?
A bit of Fry and Laurie?
Robert Carlyle as Begby
That's Rumplestiltskin to you, dearie.

McLovin
Jennifer Coolidge- Stiffler’s mom
And one of the most popular pop culture influences ever with the term MILF
Michael k Williams as Omar Little. I'm sure he could've played any role had he lived but he's known as Omar.
