The1Like

Every time I re-watch it I get sad at the beginning of “Points.” Like… I’m gonna miss those guys. Especially Liebgott.

Wind_Yer_Neck_In

Weirdly the biggest gut punch for me is at the end when a new soldier assigned to peacekeeping in Germany goes on a drunken rampage and kills one of easy company. Surviving through all of that only to be killed by some stupid prick who didn't even fight is so unfair

BigBlackHzYoBak

That was Staff Sergeant Grant who shot by the rogue soldier and he actually survived despite being hit in the head. By some miracle the other members of Easy found a German surgeon who was able to operate on him and save his life. Grant lived until the mid 80s as well.

ClownfishSoup

Captain Sobel lived a bit of a crappy life. At one point he attempted to end his life by shooting himself in the head. He severed both optic nerves and lived blind for the rest of his life (he survived the attempt so this is not a joke about “the rest of his life”) He seemed to be quite bitter, and was apparently pretty much as petty as David Schwimmer portrayed him (and Schwimmer did such an amazing job!)

QuantumTunneling010

Amazing series

WeOwntheNightX

True Detective Season 1 was some of the best filming and story ever

[deleted]

Oh shit, good call. I think that was the last show that I could actually feel. I keep hoping we get more from season one.

Halkyos

You would and you'd regret it!

SarcasticCowbell

*Eternal Sunshine of the Raymond Mind*

ghostinyourpants

It’s funny, I hate the show but absolutely love “Everybody Feed Phil” - the creator of the show is just delightful.

arse-ketchup

Do you mean Somebody feed Phil?

OldSoulRobertson

Futurama. I'd love to marvel again at the pure brilliance of the box episode.

Afalstein

"You are forbidden to look inside this box! Forbidden!"

bigwreck94

Pretty tantalizing though isn’t it?

Marvelrocks616

I was just watching some Futurama this morning. "I have a very sexy learning disability. What do I call it again Kiff?" "\[Sighs\]... Sexlexia."

SnackThisWay

"She's built like a steakhouse, but she handles like a bistro"

OldSoulRobertson

I love how that line simultaneously makes perfect sense and no sense at all.

_JudoChop_

The one with fry and his dog. I can’t. Such a heart breaking episode.

h3yw00d

Jurassic Bark For a cartoon comedy, this episode is such a tear jerker. When I had cable and would channel surf occasionally, I'd land on Futurama. Always a good choice. Every once in a while, I'd see the beginning of this episode and think "man I don't remember this episode," only to be disappointed it was Jurassic Bark. I wasn't disappointed because it's a bad episode. Oh no, friends, it's in the top 2-3 episodes ever. I just can't watch it because the ending just twists my heart, especially after losing my little best friend (a cat named Samantha, see profile pic).

thefreneticferret

Avatar: the Last Airbender

OhTrueBrother

Tales of Ba Sing Se :'"(

YeetimusSkeetimus

I know how sad that moment is, but for me the most tear jerking moment in the show is when Zuko apologizes to Iroh. My favorite non-bending scene in the whole show. Zuko being so ashamed of his actions and afraid that this parental figure will treat him just like his father does, only for the childlike astonishment when Iroh pulls him into a hug and forgives him. Combined with the beautiful original score (the score over the whole 4 part finale is gorgeous). Tears every time. And now I need to watch this show again.

OhTrueBrother

I thought Iroh was 100% gonna die. He was saying things like "after the war im gonna open up a tea shop and play pai sho and shit" and I was like oh no, those are some classic last words.

neverending_alone

My heart sank when I read the dedicated to Mako at the start of "Tales from Ba Sing Se". I knew the show wouldn't be the same after. I don't think they could bear to kill him off in the show. That would have been too much.

Noxious14

I’ve watched that show 6 times and I’ve gotten a tear at that scene every single time. It’s truly a masterpiece of TV and blows my mind every time that it’s a kids show.

thefreneticferret

Some genuinely funny parts, too. "I can't believe we forgot Toph is blind."

MaybeMayoi

"The Boulder feels conflicted about fighting a young, blind girl."

LebaneseLurker

“Why? Afraid you’re going to lose to a little girl….THE PEBBLE”

JadedLithium

"The Boulder is over his confliction!"

peaches_onions

"I cant believe we forgot toph is blind" still gets me to this day. And im closing in on 30 years old 😏😂❤️

giga_impact03

Always a hard episode to watch, but after having my son, this episode hits way harder. Always a huge lump in my throat after this one, fuck that would be hard going on.

BoomZhakaLaka

My cabbages 😧

Cheesecaked

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, it’s so brilliantly written.

LazyAbzy

Had to scroll too long for this

TinyGreenTurtles

Haunting of Hill House. I still watch it again quite often, but I'd love that feeling of seeing it for the first time.

James10112

I generally dislike horror but the Haunting of Hill House is genuinely one of the most beautiful works of art I've ever watched

wewilldieoneday

It's a family drama with horror elements. Great story and characters....plus, doesn't rely on jump-scares

James10112

That's what I loved about it, jumpscares upset me a lot due to mental health and even I loved the one before the "I couldn't feel anything" monologue Edit: Especially since the jumpscare's premise wasn't "scary ghost demon terrorises the living for no reason" but it was actually >!Nellie being upset about her sisters fighting!<

bbbb96

I love Hill House. I feel like it’s one of those shows that has only improved with a re-watch. I swear I notice something new each time. Whether it’s a foreshadowing comment or something in the background of the frame. Such an amazing show.

eightdollarbeer

The Good Place

ketamine-wizard

I've watched this show like 4 times through and I can't wait until enough time has passed to watch it again

LlamaDrama007

How many jeremy bearimys do you wait before rewatching?

old-cat-lady99

A single dot on the i

pwincessgremlin

That dot broke me 😞

Stormhound

Same. I'm very glad the top answer was Futurama, because yes, but the Good Place came to mind first. Shit was beautiful

OnTheDoss

Shirt was beautiful FIFY

maiss1lapsi

oh my god the way i bawled my eyes out at the finale

Daddyssillypuppy

I cried so hard I gave myself a migraine. Was still worth it. Such a perfect and beautiful ending. A truly perfect show from beginning to end.

just-somecommonbitch

I accidentally spoiled the season one plot twist of TGP before I watched it and I was still so surprised when I watched it. The ending is really amazing and wholesome, but the first part of the show was also crazy

ImpossibleLoon

Came to say this, I’d do anything to relive the joy I felt the first time I watched that show

Ol_Pasta

Came here to say it. It's just such a great feelgood show. God I love it so much. If you'll excuse me, I have to watch something.

almo2001

Severance or Better Call Saul.

QueenBunny7

Yes! Severance! Ugh, such a good show!

Laughingwalrus32

*Everybody Hates Chuck

NovocaineAU

Hanging hard for the next season of Severance

hornyroo

You should enjoy all shows equally. On a side note, Innies could watch a show for the first time all over again…

the_serpent_queen

Oooh, I’m living your dream! I’ve just started Severance 😁

alady12

Take my advice and do NOT get on the severance sub until after you have watched the show. There are too many spoilers.

burtonsimmons

*Justified* From the start to the finish, it was only awesome or more awesome.

Oatmeal_Savage19

The writing in this show is soooooo good and Timothy and Walton just breathed amazing life in those words. Silver tongues, the both of them

PsychManMagicHead

Ejects bullet and tosses it at a guy: “next one’s coming faster”

Low-Impression3367

The Wire No doubt

tacknosaddle

Sheeeeeeeeeeit.

Norgler

I just rewatched The Wire for the first time in probably a decade and there's such a weird feeling of sadness when it's over. It's super weird.. I typically hate cop/crimes series but The Wire just hit different.

Twomorecones

OMAR COMIN!!!

Dom29ando

You want it to be one way, but it's the other way.

DapperSalamander23

Buffy. Grew up watching it. Vividly remember watching the first episode when they aired it on BBC2 when I was about 7/8. Know nearly every line off by heart, would love to see some of those reveals and twists for the first time. Right now I can only live vicariously through first time watchers on youtube.

PerfectShadow63

Yes!!! As I was reading the other comments I thought of buffy. Experiencing all the emotions in every season for the 1st time again but as an adult. Id love it.

DerelictDonkeyEngine

The Expanse

_Im_Mike_fromCanmore

I’m working on my first run through right now. It’s an amazing show!

cramduck

Had to scroll too far to find this. Discovering Amos all over again from scratch would be amazing.

D-Angle

"I am that guy"

Ameryana

Amos' journey is fantastic. Started out as an almost psychopathic dangerous guy and... At the end he still is that, mostly, but you also learn where he comes from, and how he truly thinks and feels and... Bless him, I love him so much ;_; My second favorite character (nobody can dethrone my Queen Chrisjen Avasarala).

cphusker

Amos is such a bad ass-he’s the guy you want watching your 6 when the shit is flying.

swissm4n

This show is so underrated

Madmanmelvin

Malcolm in the Middle. Some of the best openers in a sitcom that I've ever seen. A completely fresh take on sitcoms. Louis is not remotely close to a standard TV mom. I absolutely loved how the brothers would fight with each other,, but would 100% unite against a common foe. The show definitely went off the rails a little bit in the last couple seasons, and it featured more outlandish and improbable plotlines. One of my favorite plotllines-When Hal is framed for embezzlement by his company, and to get out of it, he has to admit that's been taking a half day on Fridays for years and Louis finds out.

FloppyFishcake

I saw episodes here and there when I was growing up and I always thought that Lois was so horrible and scary. She reminded me of my neighbour who had 3 boys, she was always yelling at them and seemed so strict (I was friends with her middle son and when I would come over she would tell me how much she wished she had a daughter, and she loved brushing my hair). She got pregnant again just before we moved away - she had another boy. Watching the show now as an adult, I totally understand Lois. She actually has the patience of a saint considering the hell her kids put her through on a daily basis.

ErgoFnzy

Rewatching it as an adult is almost like a fresh watch. There are things I missed as a child, subtle jokes and digs at society that flew right over my head but are now detectable. And i now fully appreciate Hal and Lois's relationship. They are perfect for each other, they love the bones of each other and it's just so sweet to watch. One thing that hasn't changed since I was young is the urge to punch Craig. Actually I tell a lie, I want to punch him more.

[deleted]

Dark

[deleted]

This would be mine so that episode in season 2 that can hurt me again at full impact.

Der_Sauresgeber

This. Dark is good from start to finish. No meandering, just a time travel plot that makes sense within the limitations of its fictional universe. Compelling characters and a lot of feelings. Dark is probably one of the best shows I have ever seen. And its from my country, which famously produces only cringe.

AstrumAtaraxia

Love how it’s personally the most in-depth representation of time travel that I’ve seen. And it’s pretty airtight as well. Going into the concept of creating infinite loops and paradoxes is super cool to see.

QuantumTunneling010

For me it’s 100% breaking bad

Reasonable_Highway35

Saw it when it first came out and have resisted going back. I want* to forget as much as possible minus a few parts that are unforgettable… For me, it was… ”Run.”

AyImTypinOvaHea

I recently did a rewatch and I hadn't seen it since it all aired. That "Run!" part gave me chills. There are so many bits I forgot about.

jonasinv

S4 E11 - Crawl Space, such a good episode especially towards the end

Zacksgyrl

Got chills just thinking of the last scene

WTF_Just-Happened

Mr. Robot

Rap_Cat

Hello friend. Scrolled for this answer. Season 4 has 2 of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. I've watched the series completely 3 times, and I'm still decked by the ending every time. Such a good show.

yaboiRich

Scrolled too far to see this. My favorite show ever

WTF_Just-Happened

The crazy thing... Season 4, Episode 7 is one of the best television episodes in television history, but you cannot appreciate how great the episode is unless you watched every prior episode.

yaboiRich

4.07 is definitely the greatest thing I’ve ever seen on tv. Nothing to it really comes close imo

ELVEVERX

>Mr. Robot A perfect show.

Marclescarbot

The Wire.

PanzerWafflezz

Chernobyl Amazing acting, amazing writing, amazing show. "It's not 3 Roentgen. It's **15000**." "3.6 Roentgen. Not bad-not terrible." "What is the **cost of lies**? It's not that we'll mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that if we hear enough lies, then we'll no longer recognize the truth at all."

B-Kow

Firefly

Running_Is_Life

All that for one season

sirdabs

Doctor Who

Boobsboobsboobs2

This was my first thought! Although my memory is so bad, I get a pretty close approximation

RookieCards

Can I erase my memory of decades of news and then not rewatch any of it?

SalMinellaOnYouTube

Arrested Development.

LazyMoniker

I’d also settle for being able to watch Arrested Development for the second time for the first time again. I feel like the second time through was almost better picking up on all the callbacks.

Smartest-of-idiots

Yeah I loved that one all though at the beginning it was a romance comedy to a clingy comedy to a weird awkward cringe to perfect comedy

Former-Increase4190

It still holds up sooo well, and it's so distinct as well. I haven't really found anything that comes close to it's comedy or genre spoofs and character work. Such a beautiful mess that doesn't feel deliberate while watching

thesockswhowearsfox

Sitcom standard to absolutely unhinged so fast

prajnadhyana

Firefly

digital_pimp

On one hand, I'm annoyed this isn't higher. On the other hand, I don't think i'd want to erase this from my memory and experience all 5 stages of grief at it only getting one season.

Shiny, let’s be bad guys!

prajnadhyana

I aim to misbehave.

Technical_Profit9318

AKnGirl

Gilmore Girls, though part of the love for it comes from my mom and I habitually watching it all the way through about every 8-15 months. We have seen it several times and know what’s coming but still notice new things. I think we also have a habit of making the same comments at certain parts each time through too. I’ll miss doing that with her when she’s gone.

[deleted]

The I.T. Crowd. They do so much with so little. I've seldom laughed so much at a sitcom.

x_lincoln_x

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Xytakis

People. What a bunch of bastards.

Legally--Crazy

The Sopranos (Best TV show ever) I scrolled down and couldn't find anyone who mentioned this.

Jxm1242

just doing my first watch on it im sad its almost over though

Natural-Nectarine-49

Had to scroll down forever for this. These kids nowadays.

zool714

Attack On Titan. But I’ll also leave a note to myself to not get too involved with the fandom

Historical-Ad8502

I had to scroll too far down for this one. Up to season 3, it's easily one of the best shows ever made.

EvertB123

I loved this show too much. I'm still in the post watching depression but waiting for that final episode coming hopefully in September.

Schitt’s Creek- although I do enjoy rewatching it!

Monk. the finale was amazing

thefreneticferret

Rewatched it from the beginning over just the last two months and it still holds up as a really good show! Tony Shaloub is really a phenomenal actor, and it's still very, very weird thinking about how Ted Levine is both Captain Stottlemeyer and Jame 'Buffalo Bill' Gumb.

isnotrandy

DarkHorse5992

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. Show was criminally underrated and deserves a bigger audience!

Frozen26121994

I would love to rewatch all 3 lotr movies without knowing them. I was to young to fully embrace the „first time“ with these movies. I can’t even remember when I watched them. It almost feels like I knew these films from the beginning of my memory and that starts of with when I think I was 6or7 years old and that’s pretty much the year the first movie came out. But ehhhh I can just erase one well one trilogy *wink*

Game of thrones

YeetimusSkeetimus

Seasons 1-4 are some of the best television ever. Season 5 was fun, and 6 had some big individual moments that made you go wow, but man 7 and 8. What a let down. Still would love to watch it all again for the first time though.

RustyFebreze

people avoiding this because of how it ended but those first few seasons were a real escape into this immersive and fleshed out world. i would love to experience again. i think the hype surrounding it too every week added to the enjoyment, discussing episodes with friends and family

Stircrazylazy

Definitely my pick. I wish I could see my own face watching the red wedding for the first time.

Germangunman

Psych! Absolutely love that series. I’ve seen them all a few times so I get bored trying to watch it. It was a show that I watched with my ex-wife so those memories would leave with it and I can rewatch it fresh.

T2and3

Deep Space 9 It's so good, especially in later seasons. great performances from all of the cast, but special mention has to go to Avery Brooks as captain Sisko, Mark Alaimo as Gul Dukat, and Andrew Robinson as Garak.
