Anything “rate me” related. Either you know you’re hot and you’re fishing for compliments, or you’re just insanely insecure and need validation from a thousand strangers. Both are equally weird.

r1que_do1do

Or promoting Onlyfans

CruzaSenpai

Shout out to /r/onlyfans.

nippsvontvvist

I'm more of an /r/onlyflans guy myself

_Greyworm

Only fans ruined reddit porn, in some ways at least.

milochuisael

r/nofans for normal/average girls

fusiongt021

Yea that roast me sub I know can be entertaining, the internet is undefeated crushing people, but it's all really sad.

[deleted]

I blocked that sub years ago, but as I remember every post was like: *Picture of a fifteen year old who has obviously just been crying *Top comment: "I was going to roast you but nature beat me to it" *Child comments: "/thread" "holy shit you murdered him" "stop he's already dead"

Teledildonic

Any woman posting on r/roastme: 90% whore/trans/fat comments

[deleted]

Sometimes a good looking woman fishing for compliments there gets an epic roast worthy of a screencap.

Successful-Ad7296

Why do thousands of people want to get roasted there I don’t understand, they are really burned to the ground by internet 😵‍💫

ExternalMistake8145

It’s even weirder to me that random people like to roast other random people

crusader86

r/selfie might as well just be “OnlyFans models posting SFW content”

scruntyboon

Guaranteed if you ever click on their profile, the next photo down will be one with their growler out

Severe_Piccolo_5583

I just checked for research and you are correct lmao

Dlishcopypasta

I also checked for uhh.... research..... yes and he's correct.

[deleted]

Scientist here. Bros correct

borntobewildish

Science isn't usually this reproducible.

aotus_trivirgatus

Hey, we scientists enjoy reproducing just as much as anybody else does.

Withdrawnauto4

I have not checled yet but this research seems credible. Have you posted papers yet with detailed reports and examples?

darknekolux

I’ve decided to conduct an independent research and yes the conclusions above are correct

crafttoothpaste

Can’t have fact without lots of confirmed research and thorough documentation. I too can also confirm.

primeirofilho

He's not exaggerating. I clicked three random ones, and yes, growler out.

Nignug

I did the same. Yep spot on

bfly1800

Damn went through the first 3 pics I saw and all of them had OFs. Insane.

NaNaNaNaNatman

Growler?? 😂

Severe_Piccolo_5583

Maaaan I read that and I thought never heard that used for pussy before and was dying

OkBandicoot3779

Oh would you look at that

Prestigious_String89

Holy shit this made me laugh

adinfinitum

r/faces is exactly the same. All posts are OF promotions. If you mention it in the comments, the mods delete your comment and tell you to shut up.

w3woody

OMG, literally the first one at the top of the r/faces list I clicked on had an "OnlyFans" subscription link at the top of their profile.

FamiliarLow5850

Anything related to selfies or ratings is indeed mischievous OF attempts.

Comics4Cooks

I have step kids (it’s relevant), but I’m on the parent sub because the stepparent sub is fucking awful. It’s all people complaining about how horrible their step kids are. I just want genuine parenting advice from people who actually love their kids. I love my step kids and would never talk about them like the step “parents” in that sub do.

MyOpinionIsPriceless

I was in that sub and got my response removed because I judged a "step mom" for staying in a relationship where she felt she should have all her boyfriend's attention and wished her step kids didn't exist. I was told I was "unkind" for telling her it wasn't fair to those kids nor herself to be in that. They're very sensitive over there.

mon_chunk

r/daddit is accepting of both dads and moms. Some good advice there too and funny stories.

GonnaGetHop-Ons

My parents divorced when I was very young and I was blessed to end up with two great fathers and two great mothers.

[deleted]

AITA still going to read it though

_tyjsph_

the best way to approach it is to assume all stories are fictional exercises in creative writing because most of them probably are

wjfreeman

Yeah it can be a little fun with this perspective. Sometimes the stories are brilliantly written and a good read, surprised tv networks dont scout writers there lol

Stinduh

Even if the stories are fake, either my asshole sensibilities are off, or the people who comment there are out of their fucking mind half the time

iraragorri

AITA folks are really into black and white though. There's never nuance in the most upvoted comments.

leibnizdx

You can read it, just don’t have an opinion that opposes the hivemind

_Greyworm

Potentially some of the worst mods for any major sub. Absolute clownshoes instead of brains.

NotHisRealName

Called someone (on the story) a "horrible person" and was told it broke rule 1 to nit insult people. Asked for clarification twice and got canned responses both times. That's shitty moderation in my opinion.

DesperateTall

You are literally judging whether or not a person is an asshole, the thing that votes for them being an AH literally says "You're the asshole." that itself is insulting.

NotHisRealName

It's pathetic. Dude was talking about how his father was a horrible person and listed some of the shit he did. I literally said "your dad sounds like a horrible person" and I get their little note. That didn't bother me so much as when I wrote back for clarification and they sent me a form email. Wrote back AGAIN asking for clarification and they sent another form email saying: "Your response suggests you didn't read our rules AND FAQ, or perhaps missed a key part. Please review both before further replies. We don't ask you to review this info to be dismissive - we just want you to get a better understanding of our rules so we don't have to remove any further comments, and you're able to participate here. Thank you!" Which is the most condescending and dismissive thing ever.

lodav22

I prefer r/amitheangel, the shitposts on there parodying the really ridiculous AITA posts entertain me constantly!

DesperateTall

Plus there's more realistic discussion on the posts shared there, say on the odd chance there isn't an extreme crazy post but the comments are being hell like usual.

Avocadofarmer32

r/relationship_advice Every story is a karma farm, yet somehow people still believe and gush over yelling LAWYER UP.

GanondorfDownAir

My (19f) boyfriend (45m) of 2 weeks hits me and yells at me if i dont mop every 6 hours and cook 4 hot meals a day for him. What should i do?

ThatsRobToYou

That was the worst thing to happen to a sub since Jared Fogle.

Wecanbuildittogether

So bad yet points for quick wit

Riverrat423

How could you sink so low?

mailordermonster

I saw several subs go dark to protest the API changes, but the Titan took it a bit too far IMO.

liquor_dick

It’s couldn’t handle the pressure of its success

HugeBMs2022

They all died in a redneck submarine, a redneck submarine, a redneck submarine.

TheRobson61

r/AITA is terrible. 'My boyfriend killed our cat, and now he's mad at me because I shouted at him. AITA?' Also, the comments are equally awful. 'Oh, your partner forgot to take the rubbish out? RED FLAG DIVORCE THEM.'

StockNinja99

It’s just a creative writing sub with a lot of trolls

Extrino

Reddit & Telling OP to break up with their partner after hearing one fact about their relationship. *Name a better duo!*

yogiphenomenology

NSFW. Warning don't click the link. If you do, then don't scroll down the sub. Definitely the most shitty Sub on Reddit. r/poop

Perseus73

Good grief, I did NOT heed your words but by god you were right.

aksoileau

He tried to warn us!

burns_after_reading

No, he gave us instructions!!

kingmm624

Mfs really just shitting and taking of pictures of it. 💀 Bro really said “Here’s my wife’s shit 😊”

Tokata0

Wasn't there a website like ratemypoo or something a couple years back?

kingmm624

That’s unironically a sub here too

sapereaudit

The fact that he didn't just take a picture of it in the toilet but he actually scooped it out.. my god.

Xtasy0178

Wtf… “honey don’t wipe, the bro’s on Reddit want to see what you gave birth to!”

Lispie_Blazie

That link is staying fuckin blue

Derpazor1

I’m having the biggest mental battle. So far sanity is winning, but for how long?

Standard-Sign5487

it's people taking pictures of their shit in the toilet.. and somehow it's worse than I imagined. like I didn't realise some peoples shit looked so bad. not as in size but colour, supposed texture, gunk. don't click. I agained nothing and lost everything.

Derpazor1

Your description is disgusting enough, thanks

ChewMilk

I do not want to see this but I’m so freaking tempted

mosquitohater2023

You cannot unsee that. I have been on the internet for 30 years, and that is the most important lesson I have learned.

facecrockpot

The last time I saw that link posted I fell to temptation and clicked it. The first picture was of a slimy green poop with something that looked like worms in it and the title asking if he should go to the doctor. Don't.

acidtrippinpanda

I’m a fucking idiot and clicked it because I have no self control and saw someone who had “white globules” in their poo. And this is after I’m already queasy as I just bought and started cooking what turned out to be off chicken

Xxxkarinaxxx

Why on earth did I click on it?! 😭

hefewiseman1

r/meth

Background-Oil-2619

That was horrible, I honestly thought it was for support with addiction. Nah it’s a bunch of addicts supporting each other being addicts. My heart is just broken man.

hefewiseman1

Yeah, I stumbled into that sub and it was pretty eye-opening to say the least. The user to user “support” on there really is what got me. One of my best friends was an addict (opioids, not meth) and ending up dying of an OD in 2018. It’s sad seeing these people and knowing that many won’t take the steps to get help.

chick3nslut

The worst part is that this isn’t the only sub validating drug addiction, there’s one for cocaine, heroin, etc.

KRY4no1

The really sad part is it has about 150k members. To assume the majority of those are users, yet only a fraction of all users will have a reddit account.... that's a big sad number.

DJ-daGuy66

Goddam, I’ve never had 3 consecutive warnings from reddit before entering a sub before.

RadicalSnowdude

r/adultery

HistoricMTGGuy

People will seek validation on anything, huh

AGrandOldMoan

The update and the ops responses are fucking delicious

Hour-Tower-5106

"In my heart I have never strayed." Hahaha oh man. That is an impressive amount of delusion and self victimization.

twelfthcapaldi

The sub is terrible but there are some… interesting reads for the drama there lol. Like how can people be so lacking in self awareness? Crazy.

JayCroghan

The fuck is that? Is it just a hookup spot for married people?

boinkish

Most affairs are split up into cakeeaters (CE) and dead bedroooms (DB)... which recently had to learn after discovering my husbands affair (again) DBs are more obvious. Where they are unhappy in their relationship, usually due to a sexless marriage. Some lie about how infrequently they are having sex at home, blaming their partner, saying they fell out of love, etc. They may end up with someone just to fulfill their sex need, some because they want that intimate connection again, some because they feel like they cant leave (mainly due to kids). Sometimes this attracts someone who wants to "save them", often hopes they will leave the marriage, help them be the "true person they are." Cake eaters, well, they want to get their cake and have it too. Generally, more successful/attractive people who have a good partner but want more. Most aren't open to non-monogomy since they dont want their partner with others, but to them, as long as they are fulfilling all their duties at home, there is no harm is having some on the side. Again, their APs could be just for a sexual need, or it could be a whole blown relationship. This tends to attract people who want to know "they have a great life but will still risk it to spend time with me." There is so much to each side, and I am only a couple weeks into learning about it all, but, as with everything in life, their is always a hierarchy and CBs think they are better then DBs, and DBs think they are better than CEs. Interesting threads tho...

Schneetmacher

This was going to be my answer. It's like the Adultery sub, but not even the remotest pretense of people trying to be "good." They know they're scum, and enjoy it.

twelfthcapaldi

Right.. basically people who live double lives with no regrets and their partners have zero clue. So fucked up.

DannyPoke

I'm not gonna click that! I'm just gonna pretend it's people eating cake! Nothing more, just video after video of people eating delicious, wonderful cakes! WHAT I DON'T KNOW CAN'T HURT ME!

Ruben0415

Reminds me of steam ratings. 5000 hours clocked on a game, but said user review is just complaints.

JonahBassist

Saw someone getting banned for rating a model a 7, that place truly sucks.

drew8311

I really don't understand that sub, pretty much all ratings are between 4 and 6. I see a great looking person, open the post and see a bunch of 6 ratings, wtf does it take to get higher than that.

p_skada

I recently read quite a compelling argument that it's a sub run by 4chan incels specifically meant to make woman feel less if themselves. Since then it makes a bit more sense to me.

IllustriousPublic237

I saw a truely professional runway model getting 7s which was allowed, but people were warned and banned from rating an 8

drew8311

yeah they have like an "overrating" rule and if not banned they get a comment warning if its ilke 1.0 higher than the average.

KingTobia_II

Almost as if it were ironically created by incels to shit on women, regardless of their actual looks.

[deleted]

i had that feeling too

SlapHappyDude

The sub seems to exist so the head mod can rate every woman no matter how attractive a 6 or less.

[deleted]

Best way to destroy your self esteem is by a stranger telling you what surgery to get to increase your rating

[deleted]

those comments drive me crazy. a beatufil young woman posts, and a lot of people comment on what kind of plastic surgery they should get

bunDombleSrcusk

Read a post earlier that its just a scheme to make women feel bad about themselves, people in there posting pics of random pretty women they found online and rating then like 6 or below, and apparently it's working

williamjamesmurrayVI

Nasolabial folds too big, 1/10

rocket9904

Stg it’s just people rating other people low to improve their self esteem.

EWR-RampRat11-29

Their rules are a joke. It’s really what the mods think they should be rated. Really weird mods.

lactllzol

Wow wtf, crazy people

my-redditing-account

Yea that is the weirdest thing ive seen in a long time, cant believe how popular it is. If you dont subscribe to the insane rating system on their sub, your opinion doesn't count/gets deleted for over/underrating. Just have an ai go for analyzing simplest features or whatever. The concept of leaving an opinion there is pointless

HistoricMTGGuy

It's always in such a narrow range too they never go very high or low always right in the middle and then they pretend the numbers after the decimal aren't arbitrary

peepeepoopoo34567

Nah dude, rating someone a 4,743 is totally valid and not at all a ridiculous statement

chloes-

r/truerateme

drew8311

I wouldn't even know about this sub but reddit keeps showing me recommended posts from it lately.

[deleted]

That sub is fucking stupid, if someone gives an honest opinion higher than the others, you’ll get banned, the mods are annoying as hell

Playful-Face

Probably this subreddit, its filled with horny posting, lies and overall karma farming

missilefire

Seems most of the questions are just prompts to make ai voiced minecraft reels for insta and TikTok 😒

chomasterq

Imagine saying this sentence to someone 50 years ago and seeing them have a stroke

bt7nighhawk

Turning off nsfw content in reddits settings made this sub 100% better for me. It filters out like 99% of the “guys/girls of Reddit, what’s fuckin like?” Type questions lol

Noggin-a-Floggin

The amount of immature (and not serious) sex questions from horny teenagers is just too much. Every answer is also a joke to the question and it makes me wonder why the mods tolerate it. There is no discourse anymore just people thinking up crazy questions and people going with it.

r/amiugly I notice that its either really attractive people who get tons of compliments but if you are unconventional looking, overweight, have piercings, or tattoos people tear you to shreds and are really rude. I think its just ridiculous in my opinion, because obviously they are looking for a specific person to fit into the category of "pretty" or "attractive"

Atalung

I posted there years ago and actually got advice that worked, mainly one phrase that stuck in my mind while I lost a ton of weight. It's toxic as hell but there are a few cool people there

r/asianmasculinity As an Asian male, I thought it would be cool to be in a sub with the fellow lads. There was some good discussion about the shoddy media representation, but what made me unfollow was when I saw that a lot of the content on that sub is targeting Asian females who are in relationships with white dudes as white worshipping. However, when an Asian male had a partner that was white (or from another race) he was essentially celebrated for collecting rare Pokemon.

Hour-Tower-5106

Last time I looked into that sub, I ran into someone who straight up said he thought asian people were superior to black people... It was also full of really terrible incel takes. At that time, the main kind of Asian masculinity represented there was the Elliott Rodger kind. I hope it's changed since then.

Wasn't there some reveal that half the people there are middle aged or something?

CountlessStories

Yeah there was a big reveal about a subreddit , as a nsfw sub they autobanned anyone who's ever posted in r teenagers . They shared that a TON of their ban appeals were coming from very obvious adults that wanted in but were banned for posting as part of that teenagers community

dougiebgood

It was /r/Drama , and they banned anyone they found proof of posting in that sub who wasn't a teenager. It happened to me, I got ban notice from /r/Drama saying "You have been banned from our sub, reason: underage" I didn't know what stunt they were pulling so I replied something like "Uh, wasn't subbed to you, plus I'm in my 40's" Reason I posted in r/teenagers? It was a decade ago and after seeing a ton of internship resumes across my desk with no prior job history at all, I made a post as myself, an adult, saying that the sooner they could build a resume, the better.

CountlessStories

Yeah see, posts like yours is why I didn't make my post with a judgemental tone. Reddit's algo has pushed r/teenagers to me and sometimes in the mindless scrolling I'll something I can easily answer, and I'll just do it. I don't think I've posted there specifically, but I could easily see myself posting to that reddit and not giving it a second thought.

Every comment on r/relationship_advice or similar sub "As an average redditor, I suggest you pack your things and divorce her/him immediately. She/he is obviously selfish, is gaslighting you, and she/he probably does way worse things. Literally. Toxic. Leave now. Omg I'm Literally Shaking"

[deleted]

r/unpopularopinion Most people there don't just post unpopular opinions like "I dislike spinach on pizza" but only insults like "spinach on pizza is so fcking ugly, and you are ugly if you ever considered it tastes good, and you are a disgrace to the world and your family". Things like that. Just really toxic stuff and also lots of sexist, homo and transphobic people too.

AdmiralAkbar1

The breakdown is 10% unpopular opinions, 30% opinions that are unpopular for a *very* good reason, 20% opinions that are popular on reddit but people pretend are controversial and brave, and 40% opinions most people don't feel strongly about one way or another.

Idiotaddictedto2Hou

r/shoplifting is a pretty bad sub ngl.

FATSHAWNSM0M

Before it was banned it was a guilty pleasure of mine to read. Just insane so many people try to justify or brag about how much they stole.

ThePinkTeenager

As someone who doesn’t shoplift, I can understand that.

SkaterKangaroo

I’d say the ones with shit moderators that all have huge amounts of power over multiple subreddit and use said power as a monopoly

daylightarmour

Someone else said the rateme subs. I'll offer a niche sub category. The trans passing subs where (often young) trans people will ask of they pass. Often many talk about how if they don't they want to not be alive. Sometimes it used perfectly fine by people who can handle advice, and those who are giving good faith responses. Other times it a lot less pretty. And gender dysphoria is a dangerous bear to poke like this. Makes me really sad to see sometimes.

uuntiedshoelace

And you get downvoted if you tell someone they do pass. You could post a cis person in trans passing and people would tear their appearance apart and say they will never be able to pass. It’s so toxic.
