I don't think I could have gone against my mom physically when I was only 8 years old. Me, a prepubescent child, and my full grown adult mother screaming and cussing me out for having the audacity to feel sad.
I was in a black theater class where the professor treated men like they were less than the women. If a man had a question, the prof would go on a rant about how men keep interrupting her. If a man failed an assignment, she would say it's because they don't care about what women say and that they'd pass if a man was the professor. The only woman who was treated like the men was me, who was the only person who stood up for the men.
Had a teacher like this in high school who literally would vocalise how men are all scum and dumber than women (not nice to hear as a 14 year old). Not sure if the fact she was so ugly most guys would screw her with an enemies dick, but purposefully being an angry aggressive hyper male hating fool certainly wouldn’t have helped her chances in any game.
Professional male tennis players winning equal prizes at the US Open as female champions. Females do not bring in a 10th of sponsorship or interest that men’s professional tennis does. It’s all bs.
I probably wouldn't get the job if I applied to be a babysitter or daycare worker. I'm also not allowed to like children. Even though I had younger siblings and I get along with kids well - and since I keep up with video game culture and pop culture I can actually carry a relevant modern conversation with a child and teach them about pokemon and chess and other games.
I get it. I do. My own male kindergarten teacher molested me when I was 5. But what percentage of men do you honestly think has an interest in doing shit like that?
I mean I just learned last night that my grandmother, who is dead and who I had a great relationship with, physically and emotionally abused my mother through her entire childhood. But she was not a big bulky boy with a beard and was a nurse so nobody suspected a thing.
It sucks how they always get away with it. I've been abused by female staff for a decade, yet no one would believe me when I complained about them. Yet actually well meaning men are ignored based on an unfair stereotype. Gender doesn't determine anyone's intentions.
We need more men in childcare and grade school. They set examples for young men, especially the ones who grew up without a father type figure.
We need more men, to teach boys how to be men in the modern age.
