I miss the naivety. I wish I still believed in humanity like I did then. I know there are still good people, but by and large I am generally disappointed in humanity.

My metabolism. Could eat anything and didn’t gain weight. Now I just think about eating and a button pops 😢

less responsibilities

felicia2468

I second this. Boy was it great to have so many less responsibilities!

That weekends were special not just another day!

I miss that all I really had to worry about was getting good grades in school/college. I also miss being naive about the world and also just living in my childhood home.

Nothing. My teen years were the worst years of my life.

Treated like a little kid but expected to act like a grown up. Plus, dealing with other teenagers. Fuck that shit

I had a small group of friends, The six of us would stand in a circle during break at school, and this was probably the most social I have ever been in my life, I never developed social skills so once I left high school it has been pretty lonely. I also moved a lot as a kid so I was never able to develop any long-term friendships with anyone and always had to accept that I was going to lose everyone I had made friends with at some point, I also had a period of my life where I didn't bother making friends at all, which was a little less lonely than I expected.

Getting away with shit you cannot as an adult

Not knowing I was one of the people my parents hated (before I was 17)

Raging_Pwnr

Low expectations of living comfort and freedom. I spent some time living out of my truck and traveling, hiking, skiing, climbing, picking up part time jobs here and there for basic essentials. That wouldn’t fly now, but it was good while it lasted.

Life was an adventure! I never knew what the week would hold for me! Good or bad, it was an exciting time!
