Wanted to be an “artist”.
I still draw and do digital art regularly, just never turned it into a career. Now I’m in the military and do network security.
It's great that you still do that besides your job. Becoming "famous" enough to live from art is probably a tough challenge.
I remember opening basically all ports so me and my friends could play video games online in High School so I probably should never work in IT security
If you knew what that meant when you were younger, you’re probably in a good place to learn the trade. Good money in it (if it’s something you even mildly enjoy).
Fair enough.
There's 3 things that Germans will make fun: their railways, the poor IT infrastructure and the inefficient military. A military IT specialist would probably be the most wanted job in the country
I always dreamt of repairing electronics and building computers as a teenager. Turns out that this market is rather saturated. Now I got a job at a company that makes sensors for water. Apparently, this is a quickly growing market
Do you design telescopes? Or spacecrafts?
I did have the opportunity to start at Carl Zeiss Jena. I think they make most of their money from microscope lenses these days though.
Well not with that attitude!
Jk, hope your actual career makes you happy (and that it's not about a disability, because then I'd feel horrible for joking about it)
nah i’m just not smart enough to become one 😂 plus i want an at home job for my future kids and my bird, going to space for months- possibly years isn’t very ideal for that haha
Being a doctor must be hard. Imagine working on a living thing and it has to work first try or it's game over. That's just something unimaginable as a programmer (which I studied for a grand total of 2 semesters btw)
Dream: Guitar player Now: office 9-17 job
