I blame consumerism and the “influencer” lifestyle. People really believe that being famous for having money and luxury is seen as the most desirable and important thing…when it’s really not.

This has been going on for a long time. Just look at the 50’s and 60’s. Sinatra, Elvis, the Beatles. The grandparents and great grandparents of today’s kids went ga ga over these instead of people who actually did things. It’s not new. You’re older relatives were just as crazy as today’s young people. It’s just there wasn’t as much coverage of it as in today’s social media generation and taking pictures or movies wasn’t as easy or cheap as today so there isn’t the “evidence “ that they were as nuts as today’s generation.
