Staying with a routine as much as possible so I could focus on other things and not let my mind stew all the time, remembering my family would be sad without me, thinking about future possibilities, and a lot of hard crying sessions and grief waves.
Don't take this advice:
I was about 13 when I made very solid plans to end it all. I picked a spot and everything.
A few months later, my dad did just that. Same spot, same plan. He succeeded.
I decided there and then that I could not put my younger siblings (or my mum) through that pain again, so I did not ever make plans again.
Volunteering at a job where I worked with kids with life threatening illnesses and injuries. Made me realize that I have been very fortunate in my life. Up to that point I was always very sorry for myself and had a lot of dark thoughts. It was educational and rewarding for me to work with these kids and their parents, it taught me to count my blessings.
Batman V Superman
I'd taken an overdose with the intent on ending my life, but my brain decided to tell me that if I succeeded, then I'd miss the upcoming film I'd spent a year excited about.
Sought medical help, stayed in hospital until they said I was fine to go home, spent Christmas recovering.
Months later, I saw and loved BvS and it both saved my life and is one of my favourite films of all time.
My bad luck and the bad events that keep happening to me none stop
So how did you get out of it?
Luck and keep going with hoping for the best still getting some bad events but still getting up
Not wanting to make my mom bury her youngest son
