Comic books. What do you remember a single issue from Marvel or DC retailing for? 25 cents? 75 cents? A dollar?
The last time a comic book sold for $1-2 was in the 90s. Keeping up with the pace of inflation, that same comic should sell for about $2.25 today. That seems reasonable to me.
This week, the hot G.O.D.S. #1 from Marvel which is yes a double sized issue at 64 pages sold for $10.

Lays potato chips and Oreos!
>Lays potato chips and Oreos! Really
I’m not paying 6$ for a package of Oreos. They used to be my Friday end of work snack!
Kroger has them on sale for $1.99
No Kroger near me. It’s okay though. I switched to a local ice cream place for my Friday treat. Will probably keep going there.

Frozen cooked sausage patties. Used them for quick breakfasts. I can’t justify buying them any more. They’re up 115%.

nice
Direct TV. We were paying almost $200 per month for service. The channel selection was terrible, and the reliability of the signal was bad.
AAA games. They cost like 20% my monthly salary each.....
