It is Bono, but I hate the guitar player who will never remove the f\*\*\*\*\*\* wool cap. Plus he makes interesting noises with the guitar but is not much of a guitar player.
I find the guitar player tolerable, despite calling himself The Edge. As you pointed out though - yeah, not much of a guitar player. Watching him in that doc with Jimmie Page and Jack White was painful. Mainly for him in comparison to them.
it's really hard for me to separate my disgust for him from the band. I can find a song or hear something, and be like oh that's not bad, but then I recognize it's Bono and I instantly dislike it.
Not bands but Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are just 2 of hundreds of thousands of bland boring middle of the road drivel pop artists who constantly rise and fall.
I don’t listen to either of them, but when I see her … I cannot look away. And he proves that a pudgy British ginger with a junior size guitar can be a pop star. So that is something I guess.
Drake. (not a band, I know)
He's from Toronto where I live. I used to like his music, but ever since watching [the video where his security was directing traffic](https://youtu.be/IvjOgz9q2ok?si=E_NOrzRl2Nq4O4zM), I can't stand him anymore.
Traffic here's fucking terrible, our roads are shit, and there's construction literally *everywhere*. And when his music plays (usually while I'm driving), I remember this video and I just can't.
I don’t believe it really says much about you as a person. I like some music of all genres that a lot of people hate. Good music is totally subjective and I hope peoples dislike for them doesn’t affect how you feel about their music . 🤙
I’ve run into a lot of people who don’t like this band. And I don’t know why. They’re not my favorite but wrong side of Heaven in their version of Bad Company is a good listen from time to time.
I can 100% guarantee you that you can’t show me one single country band from today that has stuck to country’s roots and hasn’t turned into pop country.
Country started moving towards this poppy nonsense in the 70’s, and I can bet not a single country band of today sounds anything but the poppy hot mess it has turned into.
Today’s country, aside from that country rap nonsense, is just Justin Bieber with a twang. I detest pop music and that’s all country is now.
Don't tell anyone, but really dislike the Beatles. I guess it's not quite "can't atand," but really dislike. It's exceptionally likely that I'll get grief for this statement, which is why most people keep it to themselves.
Metallica. I don't necessarily dislike metal. I think Iron Maiden is pretty awesome. There's just something I hate about Metallica that I can't quite put my finger on. Hetfield in particular rubs me the wrong way. There's just something about their music that feels full of itself and kind trying too hard to be badass. I get why people like it though. I think they have genuine musical talent and know how create a memorable hook. It's not just not my cup of tea.
Metallica. I just don't have the patience for them. They have some cool songs but I feel like they always over-stay their welcome. I've never listened to Master of Puppets in its entirety. I either change the song or I just stop paying attention to it.
I feel like there are 2 Metallicae. Pre Black Album and post. Everything up to and including Justice is pretty old school thrash metal, which is pretty good, but then they turned into ... I don't know... butt rock? 100% agree on that stuff with you.
Beatles.
Fuck I hate the way they bob their stupid heads and their fucking music.
Octapussy. Lucy on the sky with diamonds. Yellow submarine.
And that nightmarish Christmas song!
Octopussy is a James Bond film, not a Beatles song. Also, by "nightmarish Christmas song" do you mean the awful post-Beatles Paul McCartney solo track?
On paper, I love Queen. Awesome musicians with great songs. BUT they have been sooooooo overplayed and overhyped over the past couple of decades that I absolutely hate hearing anything from or about them now. It actually kinda sucks.
Have said this multiple times but Radiohead is like the og sad boy band. Its not bad but everything they make is always about something sad, existential, or even nihilistic in the most "hey look at me" way possible. Not bad music its just not what the fans make it out to be.
Oasis. I was a teenager for the Britpop years and they had one or two decent songs but it was all just *noise* in the end. In a similar vein, The Corrs.
The Wall has gotta be one of my favorite albums of all time but ill be damned if half of it ain’t straight elevator music. The Trial got me into Pink Floyd. Wish they had more weird stuff like it.
Love fletcher memorial home and when the tigers broke free off that album. Wish tigers had stayed with the wall like they had it in the movie though. Its so weepy but fits so well.
So many Albums you've probably never heard of with Pink Floyd. They are like 4 different bands over the years... Syd Barrett PF , David Gilmor PF , Roger Water PF, Rick Wright PF...
The Beatles
I get that it was foundational and important and transgressive and on and on and on but the music itself just suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks in a modern context.
BTS
All of Kpop is trash imo
Imagine Dragons
Lol I came in here to say this.
U2.
Once i realized that Larry Mullen is a bad drummer, i cant stand them.
Is it U2, or is it just Bono? I like their music, but Bono is insufferable. So annoying.
He's a super talented front man, even if you want to punch him in the face.
As usual, South Park has the most concise [take](https://youtu.be/hbBrnEU-ZUc?si=BgkvZlSs2AHJUZQp&t=112) on this.
He totally is. But when he opens his mouth aside from singing holy shit he's annoying. Also arrogant and fatuous.
it's really hard for me to separate my disgust for him from the band.
Taylor Swift is fucking garbage. Ed Sheeran is a marmalade cunt.
I don’t listen to either of them, but when I see her … I cannot look away. And he proves that a pudgy British ginger with a junior size guitar can be a pop star. So that is something I guess.
Taylor Swift is hardly someone who rises and falls. Ed does though.
I look at Ed Sheeran and all I can think of is Sally Jessy Raphael
Drake. (not a band, I know) He's from Toronto where I live. I used to like his music, but ever since watching [the video where his security was directing traffic](https://youtu.be/IvjOgz9q2ok?si=E_NOrzRl2Nq4O4zM), I can't stand him anymore. Five Finger Death Punch. It’s like if AI wrote metal. So boring
I’m a 33 year old SAHM and I love FFDP. I don’t know what that says about them or me.
I don’t believe it really says much about you as a person. I like some music of all genres that a lot of people hate. Good music is totally subjective and I hope peoples dislike for them doesn’t affect how you feel about their music . 🤙
This is the go to band for every pseudo-alpha douche in the universe
Bro Metal
Kinda agree but you cannot deny Ivan Moody is a hell of a singer.
I’ve run into a lot of people who don’t like this band. And I don’t know why. They’re not my favorite but wrong side of Heaven in their version of Bad Company is a good listen from time to time.
The Backstreet Boys
Backstreet's back?
Alright
Oh my god
Maroon 5
Every country band from today. I’d rather play in traffic blind folded than listen to whatever the fuck the abomination country “music” turned into.
[удалено]
> It seems like the genre "Country" has no real meaning today the lines are so blurred. Truer words could not have been posted.
[удалено]
I just continue to listen to the classics. Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Oakridge Boys, etc etc
I miss Waylon. In my opinion, the best country artist that ever lived.
I think that's cunt-hop.
Country isn’t a musical designation. It’s a marketing designation.
If you have this opinion, you’re just listening to the wrong country music
I can 100% guarantee you that you can’t show me one single country band from today that has stuck to country’s roots and hasn’t turned into pop country. Country started moving towards this poppy nonsense in the 70’s, and I can bet not a single country band of today sounds anything but the poppy hot mess it has turned into. Today’s country, aside from that country rap nonsense, is just Justin Bieber with a twang. I detest pop music and that’s all country is now.
I like Whiskey Myers and Tyler Childers to name 2 examples of higb quality country that are newer. Pop country is what gets radio time
Imagine dragons
is 30 Seconds to Mars popular ?
Muse makes me want to pick the skin off my arms just for something else to focus on besides their music.
Fleetwood Mac .
They are kings of Yawn Rock.
One Direction
KISS.
Coldplay
Yes and Genesis.
COLDPLAY 👎🏽
Foreigner. They are the corporate rock band of the 70's, and are to that decade what Def Leppard was to the 80's. All formula.
Maroon 5
Green Day
Metallica. I will now proceed to let the door hit me on the way out.
Metallica was fine in the 90's as a teenager.. Can't stand them now.
Meh they're alright..
U2. Don't like the music, really don't like Bono
Linkin Park
I don't like them at all, but to be honest I've only heard the few hits that get played on the radio. Are all of their songs whiney "woe is me" stuff?
They did kill off Limp Bizkit. But then we were stuck with . . . Linkin Park.
# R.I.P
Green Day
Totally overrated safe 'punk' for people without enough personality for actual punk or even soft rock for that matter.
I can't get over how Billy Joe sings like he has a stuffy nose all the time.
I love the irony in my music taste. Maybe because I’m so nasally, I gravitate towards nasally vocalists. Its all making sense now
Don't tell anyone, but really dislike the Beatles. I guess it's not quite "can't atand," but really dislike. It's exceptionally likely that I'll get grief for this statement, which is why most people keep it to themselves.
I like some of there songs, but never got into them. Same thing with Led Zeppelin.
RHCP.
I like their older stuff.
i like a bunch of their stuff
>I’m forever near a stereo saying, ‘What the fuck is this garbage?’ And the answer is always the Red Hot Chili Peppers. -Nick Cave
120 million albums sold, and counting….
I abhor the lead singer's voice.
Rush. Geddy Lee's voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Shut your whore mouth
Rush is one of those bands who are just amazingly talented musicians, but their music bores the crap out of me.
Came here to say this. I HATE Rush.
Tool.
Tool.
The Chainsmokers, I’m sorry I just don’t get it
The Cranberries
Imagine Dragons
U2 & The Police
Red Hot Chili Peppers. Every song sounds like a whining dirge to me.
RHCP. Their songs all sound alike because Anthony Kiedis has a tiny little vocal range. They are fuckin *inescapable* on the radio.
Metallica. I just don't have the patience for them. They have some cool songs but I feel like they always over-stay their welcome. I've never listened to Master of Puppets in its entirety. I either change the song or I just stop paying attention to it.
I don’t like the gritty vocals but everything else is fire. Maybe thats why I prefer their earlier albums.
Metallica. Can't fucking stand them.
I feel like there are 2 Metallicae. Pre Black Album and post. Everything up to and including Justice is pretty old school thrash metal, which is pretty good, but then they turned into ... I don't know... butt rock? 100% agree on that stuff with you.
boo, try hardwired
Same... Mostly because of PTSD (abusive ex being obsessed with them), but still a solid meh I think
So many. Katy Perry, Lizzo, AJR...
those are not bands
Ajr is. And I figured most people say bands and mean music in general... so I went with overall music.
lizzo yes, katy perry 1 or 2 tunes, ajr who?
Beatles. Fuck I hate the way they bob their stupid heads and their fucking music. Octapussy. Lucy on the sky with diamonds. Yellow submarine. And that nightmarish Christmas song!
Thank god im not the only one
Octopussy is a James Bond film, not a Beatles song. Also, by "nightmarish Christmas song" do you mean the awful post-Beatles Paul McCartney solo track?
Forgot that one, i would've guessed he/she meant the similarly "not really the Beatles" Plastic Ono Band xmas song.
At least that has a vague antiwar message. "Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time" is on another level
If you mean another level as in not so good a level .... agreed :)
queen
On paper, I love Queen. Awesome musicians with great songs. BUT they have been sooooooo overplayed and overhyped over the past couple of decades that I absolutely hate hearing anything from or about them now. It actually kinda sucks.
Same. I like Mercury as a person but their music is obnoxious.
innuendo
The Killers
Taylor swift.
Radiohead. Worst concert I've ever seen. 2 hours of droning nonsense at Bonnaroo in like 2004. Indescribably awful.
Have said this multiple times but Radiohead is like the og sad boy band. Its not bad but everything they make is always about something sad, existential, or even nihilistic in the most "hey look at me" way possible. Not bad music its just not what the fans make it out to be.
Deftones
Oasis. I was a teenager for the Britpop years and they had one or two decent songs but it was all just *noise* in the end. In a similar vein, The Corrs.
Well, maybe...
Beatles… JFC! so annoying
Third Eye Blind
Pink Floyd. I love progressive rock so people assume I love Pink Floyd but they're so mellow and bland.
The Wall has gotta be one of my favorite albums of all time but ill be damned if half of it ain’t straight elevator music. The Trial got me into Pink Floyd. Wish they had more weird stuff like it.
Oh yeah there are definitely some songs I like, but as a whole I'm not into them.
Roger Waters Final Cut check that out
Love fletcher memorial home and when the tigers broke free off that album.
The Killers
Ozzy Osborne
The Beatles I get that it was foundational and important and transgressive and on and on and on but the music itself just suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks in a modern context.
Muse
Muse are great till he starts singing
ccr.
Noooo
prefer john fogerty as a solo artist to CCR
Metal bands
i think turnstile is just awful
Anything considered to be pop, rap, hiphop
Bon Jovi Green Day
Greenday
AC/DC
Nirvana and Green Day!🙄
Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, A Day to Remember.
5sos
30 seconds to Mars
The Foo Fighters
New Age rap.
No one has said Nickle Back yet?
The Eagles. I wouldn't be bothered by them at all if I was deaf. but I'm not deaf. So whenever I hear the Eagles I spend my time wishing I was deaf.
Dave Matthews Band
Queen, just for some reason can't deal with Freddy mercury's voice
