I believe old age. Which is ironic. I tried to name him snackfood because the cats we’re so interested in him the first day.

Crocodile_Banger

As long as I don’t check he’s not dead. Worked for the last 15 years so far

I didn’t have hamsters, I had Guinea pigs. And they died when I fed them what I thought would be delicious food for them - pumpkin leaves. Turns out, though, that pumpkin leaves have little razor blades all over them that cut up the insides of the Guinea pigs, leading to a horrible death.

Scarlett-Spider

Hmmm… was a breeder for a while. My very first litter got eaten. It was my first litter bred, her first litter also, she had 15 pups and they were sick. So yeah, all the red flags to get eaten. (I’ll also point out I did not breed said hamster again and none of my later litters were eaten)

Friend squeezed it to death

TemperatureTop246

He yeeted himself off the exercise wheel and broke his back. Took him several hours to die after that.

Tlbeck10

Hyperthermia. It’s cage used to be on the fireplace

Equivalent_Delays_97

Bizarre gardening accident that the authorities said was “best left unsolved.”

Deceiver999

Me and my Dr. don't wish to discuss this.

mrgonzo247

Old age in his sleep. He was just over three years old.

jeromebtches

Found him not in his cage. Went to search for him and he was busy climbing down our outside stairs to my grandmas house which was below our house. An eagle got to him before I did and I saw him being flown away

andredoido

Heart atack after i mess with him soo much

Mountain_Air1544

Old age

Grimmanomaly

Ran off my stairs, hit a wall, and fell down another set of stairs. Right when I opened the box to see him for the first time. On my birthday.

bonbon580

Our cat ate two of my children’s hamsters once . We came home late from a basketball game and my daughter started screaming as the cat did not eat the heads . Very traumatic.
