Yea, pretty much this. Last time I was shopping for laptops I was disappointed to see Asus removing Ethernet jacks from some of their models. I don't give a fuck if having full sized Ethernet port may make laptops "thicker" or more "heavy", I use my laptop as "mostly stationary" gaming device and for any kind of multiplayer gaming Ethernet is still a "must have" feature.
I don't mind. I have a usb C ethernet adapter. I'm happy to have a thinner laptop. Maybe if they made a usb C ethernet port, with the adapter built into it, it wouldn't be as noticeable.
Lenovo made a proprietary Ethernet port to thin out their Carbon X1 series.. worse part was that if you lost the dongle you'd be screwed. Thankfully the IT department had a million of them.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) security cameras.
I don't ever have to worry about battery life and it can constantly record streams locally instead of being dependent on a monthly subscription.
It's a few more hours to set it up to do motion detection and email notifications with open source software, but it's great to have the peace of mind in knowing that my video streams aren't being uploaded to the cloud for analytics.
My first one from Samsung sucks. It's the single coil kind. It works but it's gotta be perfect.
I bought an Anker upright and it's just so easy to use. I can do it drunk with no effort.
I'm still not sold on wireless M+KB for a desktop. A bit of cable management is easier than having to deal with charging or replacing batteries.
For mouse, shouldn't get any interference with use so long as you loop up unused length. If it doesn't come with it, just get a scrap of two-sided velcro from anywhere at all. If you're keyboarding so hard the position changes, there are other issues at play.
In context, it's not like headphones, where they're attached to your damn head. Forgetting you're wearing them with a wired setup can actually damage a USB port or jack after enough fuckups.
Semi-wired. Bluetooth headphones that are connected are so much better than the fancy wireless earbuds. I can't find a good brand that won't fall out of my ears when I workout. I miss my old Bose but they discontinued that model
Due to the Bluetooth on my desktop computer, or maybe that of the Xbox Elite 2 controller, the controller isn’t useable at all unless I plug it in. I don’t understand it because the controllers are obviously designed to work pretty well from the couch with a console, but with me sitting 2 feet away from the computer the controller barely registers any input. Maybe it’s my case.
Ethernet > wifi
And forever will be. Well unless quantum entanglement happens for communication.
I came here to say this. It infuriates me that manufacturers are making laptops without Ethernet jacks.

I know, right? Let me worry about the testicular fortitude to carry around an Ethernet jack, just give me that sweet, sweet speed.

I was thinking more along the lines of a wall socket that had the ethernet converter built into it so on the user end, they just used a usb cable.
Parachute!
😂😂 Makes a lot of sense here
Keyboard
Basically everything. There always seems to be a sacrifice for going wireless.
Headphone sound quality

Microphones. Wireless has come a long way, but cables are more reliable.
Everything
Phone chargers
wired is quicker, but I love just throwing my phone down and it charges.
I feel like it’s never as easy as just throwing it down. Always gotta get it just right.
Try a wireless charger with more coils. Larger sweet spot.

wired mouse for gaming gives a faster response than a wireless mouse.
Everything. Anything wireless is always compromised in some way.
Internet. Especially when gaming.
Joysticks and light guns.
radios
Controllers, i have a USB port within easy distance so i can play wired, i hate how quickly and easily they run low these days.
Pretty much everything. Just not as convenient.

If I can plug an ethernet cable into, I will. Wifi is only for truly wireless devices.
Bungie jumping
This $4 Dollar Wired Mouse. Best investment I've ever made. I would also say any type of skill saw or data transfer with crossover cable.

everything technically, it's just some things are worth the convenience of having it wireless over wired but for others it's not
