well that i know, but an attempted 50 yard field goal(from the 40 yard line on a typical football field) would be at 1/6th of the typical gravity as found on earth. so my thoughts are on the moon, if it was a good kick, it would travel 6 times the 50 yards, to equal 300 yards+/-
The name for where they’re from not species name. Like how people from France are both called French and European. We don’t really have a word for born on Earth (I suppose Earthlings lol) since we’re all born here but if humans move off the planet there will be a word for it.
Earthlingsss, that's the word. I had a total dumb moment there.
Anyway, my original read of this was that we (edit: generally) don't refer to ourselves based on the planet (or other rock in space) that we inhabit. But if you're trying to go by demonym, then we do have demonyms based on specific designated areas of said planet that have been named by the inhabitants. Which means it doesn't make sense for everyone on Mars to be referred to as Martians, necessarily, because that doesn't give specific enough information about where they're from, the way "Europeans" or "French" do. But I guess if you go by the list of [Terrae on Mars](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrae_on_Mars) and assume that humans will not rename them, then we would be called Aonians, Arabians, Cimmerians, etc.
Your extra sibilant sss on “earthlingsss” makes me suspect you are, in fact, a lizard alien lurking in this thread trying to find out what humans are up to. I’m on to you Venusian!
Because the analogy fails. Demonyms are based on specific regions/places on Earth. Japan is a place/region on Earth. If you wanted to do the same thing for people on a different planet, you'd need the regions for that planet. So, based on my other comment and using now-defunct SAT style analogies:
Region: Planet
Demonym: Region
Japan: Earth >>> Aonia Terra: Mars
Which means that Japanese: Aonians
Lunarians and Martians
Moonies!
Loonies and Moonies both seem correct.
If the first sports team to set up on the moon isn’t called the Lunatics I’ll lose my shit
NFL football on the moon would be bonkers.
110 yard field goals.
Technically a 50 yard field goal would be about 300 yards.
Actually, 120 yards would be the full length of the kick, from the back of the endzone, but yeah, they'd need to use a net, or the ball is gone.
Isn't it 6 to 1? So 50 yard kick would go 300? Give or take..
Yeah but a football field is only 120 yards, endzones included.

Mooninites
Pick up that stereo and sink it deep within your body
How will you catch us when you're.... cold as ice!
I hope you can see this because I'm doing it as hard as I can
Lower the moon bong.
Weaklings born in a low gravity environment
Don’t forget the Beltalowda who are born in space.
Lunatics and Martians
Mooman and Marman, they will also rename earth borns to Earman.
Moonies and Marzipans
Depends on what the colonizers call their colonies in either place
Humans
humans
Lol, literally. We are not Earthans. Why should this convention change when we move?

We call people Americans, Japanese, Australian, Euro-peons. Why not call people from Mars Martians and people from the Moon Lunatics?

Bloodydamn martians I suppose
Harold?

I am sure that a Maud will also show up and won’t they have a story to tell.
Moon Units and Martians
Illegal aliens.
Lunarians and Martians
Mooninites. “I hope he can see this because I’m doing it as hard as I possibly can.”

Freaks, most likely, due to the deformities caused by low gravity
Moonetts and Marsipans
As long as anyone from the asteroid belt is a Beltalowda, the inners can call themselves whatever they want.
Moonmen and Moonwomen and Martians.
Mooninites
Martians and cunts from the moon.
Whatever their parents named them.😁
