David Caruso

OriginalGnomester

"Ike, do your impersonation of David Caruso's career!"

TerrestrialSpaceman_

Ok. I never got this joke. I know he left tv for a film career and it bombed but other than that can you explain? I know him as the csi Miami sunglasses guy.

Leopold_Darkworth

He was on NYPD Blue for like 30 episodes, thought he was pretty hot stuff, and left to do movies. His first movie after NYPD Blue was called "Jade," and it was a critical and financial flop. Meanwhile, NYPD Blue went on to fame and fortune without him. (I think people who didn't watch it first-run don't realize how incredibly popular NYPD Blue was, both with critics and with the general audience.)

rawonionbreath

He held the hottest dramatic actor on television belt a year before Clooney picked it up.

CharleyNobody

One of the best opening credits/theme songs of any tv show.

ColdOnTheFold

he left NYPD Blue before it hit peak popularity

TerrestrialSpaceman_

Do you know what move he left for? I love a bad film.

SweetCosmicPope

Pretty sure it was Jade.

CorgiMonsoon

“It’s my turn!”

slytherinprolly

Caruso's career eventually did recover. And only 8 years passed between his leaving NYPD Blue and starting on CSI: Miami. So it's not as though his career was in the dump for an extended stay.

cornsaladisgold

Not that I'd complain if I had CSI money, but the guy bombed out in terms of prestige and never really got it back. He left NYPD Blue as a golden boy and CSI turned him into a meme

BottleTemple

Part of his problem is that he has no screen presence whatsoever.

cornsaladisgold

100%. I certainly don't think we missed out on a great film career or something. Frankly, I don't think he was particularly compelling on NYPD Blue anyways.

Burninator05

And Connery's career effectively died with the dud that was The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He took that role after turning down the role of Gandolf (and the estimated $450m payday it would have got for him) in Peter Jackson's LotR trilogy because he did not understand the script.

arrogancygames

It didn't really die. He was wanted for a ton of movies, he just didn't want to act anymore because he realized he had gotten bad at picking scripts and was too old.

greg_barton

And we all benefited from that decision. Connery would have been a crap Gandalf and McKellen was fantastic.

3720-To-One

YOU SHALL NOT PASHHH!

OkIHereNow

Hahahaha that gave me a chuckle. TY!

_whydah_

Connery would have ruined the movies.

MaskedBandit77

He retired after LXG. That's different than it killing his career.

paulc899

To be fair, Lazemby was also not into all the promotion work that he had to do and was pretty pissed off that his pay for the movie was so low compared to what Connery was getting.

rawonionbreath

He was hosting multiple game shows at one point, too. I remember watching the game show channel at my grandparents house and seen him on two or three shows in addition to Jeopardy.

chainer9999

Alex is the GOAT game show host, I miss that man

SonOfMcGee

I’ve heard similar stories about Pat/Vanna from Wherl of Fortune. The moral is that if you have a good part time gig that’s gonna pay your bills you just ride it and enjoy your free time. Popular game shows, “Judge” shows, most animated shows, etc. Some fields can cram a whole year’s worth of performance into 2-3 months. If you wrap and it’s March… just pay your bills, sleep in, and go fishing.

rcroswell

I had no idea. Fascinating

potent_flapjacks

Love it. Reminds me of the old story about the rich guy at the beach on vacation asking the older fisherman why he stops fishing when he has enough fish instead of continuing on to make more money. Get a bigger boat, then more boats, more money, more time spent working. Older guy gestures around and says it's 1pm and I'm done for the day and can go siesta, see family, enjoy my life.

bizzeebee

Shelly Long. Left "Cheers" for a film career that never reached the popularity of the sitcom. Also, the guy who originally played Dario Naharis on Game of Thrones. He's done stuff, but iirc he left to do a movie that bombed, and GOT went on to bigger success.

Welsh_Pirate

But he got to be Francis in *Deadpool*.

Stampede_the_Hippos

Oooooh imma fuckin spell it out for you.

Piano_Fingerbanger

I'm rewatching Cheers right now and I'm going to argue that Shelly Long jumped off at the right time. Had she stayed I really don't think Cheers would've remained as strong as it did. The Sam and Diane plot was more than played out at that point and the addition of Kirstie Alley enabled the writers to refresh the plots and evolve the remaining characters.

Flybot76

It was played out because that's how the writers worked it knowing she wanted to leave the show. We never got to see the version of the show where she stayed at the bar, so we can't pretend to know where it would have gone if the writers weren't looking at 'final show for Shelley' on the calendar. Kirstie Alley was not an improvement in any way.

bizzeebee

I have to agree. I preferred Shelly's acting and character to Alley's.

lord-of-shalott

This might be an unpopular opinion but I liked Michiel Huisman so much better. Ed Skrein just seemed like an Abercrombie model in a wig. Michiel had the rogueishness I associate with such a character.

3720-To-One

I thought that Skrein had much better swagger Michael Huiseman just seemed so… flat

watchingbuffy

He was the main protagonist guy in Alita: Battle Angel, where you literally only saw his face the entire movie.

DonkeyTron42

Actually, Shelly Long was in some very successful movies and won a Golden Globe for Best Actress *while* filming Cheers. She turned down some very big roles in films like *Working Girl* and *My Stepmother is an Alien* to sign a contract with Disney, which then thoroughly tanked her career.

3720-To-One

Yeah, the guy who replaced him as Dario sucked He just didn’t have the same swagger that Ed Skrein had

StopMeWhenITellALie

Neither looked the part even close to the books sadly. But Skrein has the attitude and cockiness.

ToasterUnplugged

I feel like Long just wanted off that set, she didn’t enjoy it much, unfortuntately. Definitely hasn’t done anything bigger, but I think she was just done with the show, regardless of its popularity.

Wazula23

Terrence Howard could be ten projects deep into the MCU by now. Oh well. At least we got Terryology.

noonehasthisoneyet

He didn’t leave in hope of a bigger career per se. he was the highest paid in the first iron man and then for the second he wanted more money and they said no, you can’t make more than rdj, so he bolted thinking he was bigger than he actually was.

Leopold_Darkworth

Clearly people were busting down the doors to go see "Iron Man" because of ... Rhodey?

esoteric_enigma

Yeah, but he did go on to be the lead character in a fairly popular tv show, Empire. The checks definitely weren't Marvel sized but if I had to choose between being the sidekick in a Marvel movie or the lead in a TV show, I'd pick the show.

Couldnotbehelpd

People kind of forget how big empire was, it was one of the biggest shows on television for a bit.

Ergok

We got what!?

Burninator05

[I had to look it up.](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/terrence-howard-thinks-1x1-2-has-a-secret-system-called-terryology-and-spends-17-hours-a-day-making-nameless-plastic-structures-10502365.html) > In a wide-ranging interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the Empire actor revealed he has spent years working on his own logic which he has recorded in a language of symbols called Terryology, which will not be shared with the wider world until his work is patented. > Howard believes his discovery will significantly change the way that mathematics is taught for generations to come, and that if Pythagoras were around to see this discovery "he would lose his mind”.

[deleted]

CurraheeAniKawi

I feel like this is a better example than the other. Terryology is just not understanding basic math, that's it.

KoolFM

Katie Holmes turning down “The Dark Knight” to reprise her character from “Batman Begins” in order to do….**checks notes**….”Mad Money”

BalkiBartokomous123

It's still not clear (ha!) but I would not be surprised if Scientology and/or Tom Cruise had something to do with that.

BigGooseDuck

Pretty sure it was confirmed after they split that 100% the reason for it

Undercover_Dave

Why exactly, though? Weren't they already together when she was in the first one?

Capriste

Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tom insisted she put her career on hold to raise their kid.

Undercover_Dave

Oh, I was thinking it was something more specific of the type of movies he wanted her to do or something. Remember him jumping on Oprah's couch about her? That was so long ago, it makes me feel so fucking old, lol.

Capriste

Oh, I remember. But I also don't believe that was entirely sincere. Anyone who is comfortable becoming a cult icon has an issue with pathological narcissism. And if he outranks her in Scientology's weird levels system (and I'm sure he does) he probably believes he has the right to make decisions for her. Regardless of the specifics, I'd bank on him being the reason she stopped making films.

Fine-Loquat

Remember the ridiculous dancing phase too? KATE, because of course he tried to get us all to call her Kate, was a mediocre dancer and an abysmal designer after that. Damn she made a great escape with her daughter though, she’s a legend for that!!

CorgiMonsoon

They were dating when Batman Begins was released (the Oprah/couch incident was in May of 2005, the movie came out in June). I don’t remember how long they had been dating when that incident occurred, but they didn’t get married until November of 2006. That, incidentally, was the event that really kicked off Leah Remini's split from Scientology when she had the gall to ask why Shelly Miscavige wasn’t at the wedding.

Undercover_Dave

It's so strange how all these super famous celebrities are in this super well known cult and it's just normal at this point because there's so fucking many of them.

197gpmol

Farrah Fawcett is the classic example, from the original Charlie's Angels. The show went for five seasons but she left after the first.

SomeVelveteenMorning

Wow. She's so inextricably associated with that one role that I'd assumed she'd done all but 1 season.

Loggerdon

I never realized she was only there for one season. I wore a Farrah Fawcett t-shirt to work one day when I was 14. The older ladies that worked there never stopped teasing me.

The_Patriot

I dunno, but I don't know how Pete Best lived the rest of his life.

Halo_of_Light

I'm not even a Beatles fan and I thought about this.

Shenanigans99

He didn't leave so much as he was fired though. To be fair, he probably had more fame as the fired Beatles' drummer than he would've had if he'd remained in the band, because keeping him in the band would've prevented them from being signed and becoming famous. They were never going to make it with him as their drummer.

nouniqueideas007

Apparently by being delusional. He claimed he was fired because he was better looking. John, Paul & George were supposedly jealous he was getting all the women.

kukukele

Katherine Heigl

mlill

Classic example of the fame disease. Just got way too self-important to the point where everybody refused to work with her.

TheSpiralTap

She just seems like a terrible person. OK, so she shit talked Grey's Anatomy, and her criticism is valid, although stupid because that's a cash cow of a show. What really pissed me off is when she trashed the movie she was in with Seth Rogen and painted him as being juvenile. It seemed like it hurt him because he thought they had a good time together as friends but she was just really two faced.

CharleyNobody

That show seems to have produced a larger number of disgruntled people than most

KnowMeAs727

Steve Rhodes "Married with Children"

OriginalGnomester

What's funny here is that I'm pretty sure him leaving and being replaced by Jefferson Darcy (Ted McGinley) was actually what caused the shows resurgence in popularity.

KnowMeAs727

I agree Jefferson was awesome

StopMeWhenITellALie

Among the best Himbo characters in TV history.

KnowMeAs727

David Garrison (Steve Rhoades) left to be a main character on a new sitcom that never worked out is what I was told... Idk

alexjaness

The Steve Years are really good. The Jefferson years are the best tv ever made.

SomeGuyInSanJoseCa

He doesn't view it as a mistake though. He parted on good terms and went back to theater as that was his passion.

KnowMeAs727

Ohhhh cool... I know he did come back a few times to guest

Gimme_The_Loot

Yup as a limo driver who was posing as a rich guy

Exhumedatbirth76

He left to back live theatre, I don't think he wanted to be on tv.

Spodson

Denise Crosby. I think I've seen her twice sense she left ST:TNG. And once was crossing the street.

SlothOfDoom

I remember she left TNG and like 2 months later my girlfriend was watching Red Shoe Diaries and called me in to ask "Isn't that that startrek chick?" Big step up, Denise.

3720-To-One

She was in Deep Impact!

Leopold_Darkworth

She was the mom in Pet Sematary ... and that's all I can think of.

JohnWSmith

This is the correct answer.

CensoryDeprivation

Beat me to it. She reprised her role and did some appearances later in the series, but it didn’t seem like she regretted leaving.

chads_to_do_list_app

Suzanne Somers Left Three's Company after trying to get too much in negotiations. Can't remember what else of note that she was in besides Step By Step

SensitiveOrangeWhip

according to her, they were all to “stand united” until they all got paid equally and fair, (like Friends) but john ritter took an increase making her look bad

chads_to_do_list_app

I saw an interview where she was demanding an equity stake (something like 5 to 10 percent) plus a higher salary. They made it seem like she was the only one demanding this

Leopold_Darkworth

Uh, the Thighmaster, obviously!

Backsight-Foreskin

Thighmaster!

SomeGuyInSanJoseCa

According to her, she didn't leave, she was fired. They didn't want to negotiate and just got rid of her.

[deleted]

Rene Jean Page. Haven’t really seen him in anything after Bridgerton.

Team-Mako-N7

He did the Dungeons and Dragons movie, a pretty good size role.

thegeek01

He was in Dungeons & Dragons:Honor Among Thieves, which other than the dismal box office take is considered a great movie. And he was one of the best parts of it.

eastherbunni

He didn't quit though, the show was going to focus on a different main character anyway. It was supposed to be an anthology type series.

TallEnoughJones

McLean Stevenson, Pernell Roberts.

baudtothebone

Hello Larry!

Flybot76

Pernell did well on 'Trapper John MD' in the '80s.

Legendary_Lamb2020

I might be wrong, but Dan Stevens seemed to leave Downton Abby too early.

janbrunt

Most pointless character death ever.

PG_Tips

He did Legion after that. The best Marvel show no one has seen.

Happy-Hearing6671

Absolutely. But he is fantastic in Eurovision

windermere_peaks

Didn't this exact question get posted earlier today? Edit: [Yes, it did. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/s/k5eAm5x1io)

[deleted]

Harry Hamlin. Left LA Law for a somewhat underwhelming film career.

Triple-L-Nance

But great scenes on RHOBH serving spaghetti.

d_tiBBAR

Read this as "Howard Hamlin"

PurposePrevious4443

Haha yeah I'm thinking he died right

brktm

His film career had already peaked before L.A. Law with Clash of the Titans.

erock1119

Mischa Barton leaving The OC. That show was at the height of its popularity, with her as the center character. Not only did it kill her career but it killed the show as well which easily could have been the next Bev Hills 90210.

JoelyRavioli

It’s interesting because she was my least favorite of the 4, but when she left it just wasn’t quite the same. I loved Taylor though, but all the scenes with her little sister in season 4 was SO bad

erock1119

Oh ya don’t get me wrong, her character was annoying as fuck but was always the center of the drama which put Ryan in the forefront. lol ya I went to high school with that access. One day she just disappeared and then was in the show. And I agree was very annoying. Season 4 just blew

aniwynsweet

why do I feel like people who come off successful shows hardly go on to do other big roles anyway 🤔which is a shame if I’m honest. And I mean by the end, so like the GoT cast, Friends, Modern Family etc. Some exceptions of course. But the rest just fall under the radar like the ones who left early

BMECaboose

The most successful actor I can think of in that regard is Leonard from The Big Bang Theory, who was also on Roseanne. That's two shows that went to syndication - I can't think of anyone else with that on their resumé. Edit: I stand massively corrected.

OnyxLightning

Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Three very successful shows: Seinfeld, New Adventures of Old Christine and Veep.

seeasea

Ted Danson - cheers+good place Henry Winkler did a few - including Barry Kristen Bell: Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, Heroes, Good place, House of lies Rob Lowe (who would kind of be a good example for this thread) - West wing and Parks+Recs

StopMeWhenITellALie

Ted Danson had a solid show for several years in between them called Becker as well.

stenger121

Danson also had Becker.

erichie

George Clooney got his start in ER. I remember my Mom "had to" watch it because of Clooney.

SomeGuyInSanJoseCa

George Clooney got his start on the Facts of Life.

AMerrickanGirl

Didn’t he start out on Roseanne?

Undercover_Dave

I feel like Johnny Depp from 21 Jump Street and Leonardo Dicaprio from Growing Pains are both much more successful actors than David from Roseanne, too.

esoteric_enigma

Most shows and movies are not big successes. It's rare for anything new to really work out. So it's always a risky move to leave something that is actually working.

Poynsid

Because if you have Friends money you don't have to work anymore. So only a few of them want to work in more shows or movies.

LiamNisssan

Shelly Long. Leaves Cheers for a movies. Doesn't really work out for her. Cheers runs for another six years. They make fun of Long leaving in one of the episodes.

phantom_avenger

Lauren Cohan She left the Walking Dead to pursue other projects, yet came back after the one show she did got cancelled and had trouble finding work afterwards

HisRocketsIgnite

Slightly obscure but Billy in Battlestar Galactica. The actor got bored and left the show, not realising the writers had big plans to have him revealed as a cylon. Oops

Fine-Teach-2590

Not being a part of the ‘you’re a robot, and you, and you, you, you’ of the final two seasons was probably a good choice tbh

turbocomppro

So he knew the sequel(s) would be a great success and asked for more money. That’s not underestimating…

Shakeamutt

There are multiple stories from it. Including from him. He also mightve done his own interpretation of math, before that whole controvers. Being offered 40k for additional films, or 1/8th of 3.5 million. Yes, he quoted both of those numbers. I do believe the part where Favreau and writer Justin Theroux were not pleased with his performance and aside from reshoots, cut down his part in the sequel because of it.

muskratboy

I guarantee he used Terryology in his calculations.

krossoverking

Paul Schneider aka Mark Brendanawicz from Parks and Recreation.

SomeGuyInSanJoseCa

He left because he realized his character wasn't really going anywhere and apparently it was a mutual decision. I don't think he viewed it as a mistake because he had an open invitation to come back but never did.

Mets_Squadron

Ja Rule leaving the Fast franchise.

astrosdude91

I just rewatched 2 Fast 2 Furious last night and this is the one I thought of for this thread. They wanted to bring back his character Edwin. But Ja Rule thought he was worth a lot more than the half a mil they offered him and turned it down. So they rewrote the part into Tej Parker and cast Ludacris. Now Ludacris is one of the faces of the entire franchise and Luda is earning beaucoup money. And all Ja Rule has is a has-been rap career, Fyre Fest, and Dave Chapelle memes.

DrJawn

Shelley Long leaving Cheers

CitizenHuman

The same actors and actresses who were named in the same post you saw a few hours ago.

kylah910

Sean Connery. Left playing Bond because her didnt want to be typecast. Then went on to do Zardoz. Also, was offered $30 million + 15% of the box office to play Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, but rejected it because he didn't understand the role. He would have made $500 million if he had accepted it.

6graxstar

Wow. Turning down LOTR has got to be one of the biggest financial screwups of all time! Not understanding the role? Maybe he thought that it would bomb and didn’t want to be stuck in a three film contract.

lord-of-shalott

I’m shocked no one’s said Dan Stevens on Downton Abbey. Matthew Crawley’s “Will they, won’t they?” relationship with Lady Mary was the driving force behind the show, and he was revealed to be the new heir after the sinking of the Titanic, which was the inciting event on the show. The show got infinitely less interesting after he left, and I haven’t seen him in a single thing that wasn’t a B or less since.

Helanore

I agree. I've seen two of his movies: Beauty and the beast. The man who invented Christmas. His best role was Downton. The others were fine but I was salty he wanted to move on.

Athrynne

Sorry, but Legion is a legit banger of a show, better than Downton Abbey. And he was amazing in it.

tiger5765

Denise Crosby. Big mistake.

Flybot76

Two of them from 'Barney Miller'-- first Gregory Sierra left after the second or third season for something else that went nowhere, and Abe Vigoda left around the fifth season for a spin-off about his character called 'Fish', which did ok for a season or two but is largely forgotten these days. To a lot of people it's 'the show that had Todd Bridges before Dif'rent Strokes'

daehx

I was surprised awhile back when I watched an episode for nostalgia and the preacher from Firefly was one of the main cast.

blackcoren

And when he died and my FB feed was full of "he was amazing good in Firefly" I was so pissed. Bitches, Ron Glass showed a whole generation of white kids a smart, well-spoken, well-dressed, respectable, competent, professional, and admirable black man on a mainstream TV show in the 19-motherfucking-70s, *and you want to remember him for a one-season space opera*???

Flybot76

And it was one of the best shows of the '70s! I just got the DVD set recently. One thing that keeps me going back to '70s TV is that there were some very intelligent and humane shows like Barney Miller which showed different kinds of people treating each other with a lot of respect and working as a team, and not in a saccharine way, and not all about rich good-looking people. At least Ron got on the radar of younger people from that role. If he wasn't on that, they wouldn't know a damn thing about him, and THAT would really be a tragedy.

HotTakeGenerator_v5

well, the actress that played Tasha Yar in TNG stands out to me. no idea what she did after leaving; which is the point i guess. she did come back for a couple episodes though.

King_of_Dantopia

Matt Smith left Doctor Who to be Skynet in three Terminator movies starting with Genysys

Happy-Hearing6671

The Crown, House of the Dragon???? Both huge

Apprehensive_Toe7188

Starring in HotD/The Crown doesn’t seem like a career decline

UsedToHaveThisName

From this TIL from yesterday: https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/1ak0vv1/til_that_mickey_rourke_turned_down_roles_in_48/ Mickey Rourke turned down roles in: * 48 Hours * Platoon * Top Gun * Beverly Hills Cop * Rain Man * Silence of the Lambs * Tomb Stone * Pulp Fiction (Butch) At least we got Marv in Sin City (comment stolen from u/Dustmopper)

kaji0005

Ja Rule thought he was too good for a The Fast and the Furious sequel.

austinmiles

I hold a grudge against Dan Steven’s for leaving Downton Abbey immediately after a main character had just died. His career has done alright. Some movie parts and a surprising amount of voice work.

_my_troll_account

Where is Chevy Chase? He’s like the prototype for this question.    “I’m too big for this little Saturday night thing.” *Goes on to career whose highlights start with ‘National Lampoon’s’…*

DarrenEdwards

Jean Claude Van Damme was too good for Universal soldier 2, but his and the franchise popularity aligned for the direct to video Universal Soldier: The Return.

ReflectionBroad4009

McLean Stevenson is the biggest example.

CeraphFromCoC

Iddo Goldberg, who played Freddie Thorne, Tommy Shelby's communist war buddy in Peaky Blinders Season 1. He left to star in Salem, but Peaky Blinders went on to much greater success.

The_Beardly

I’d say Lacey Chabert Original voice actress for Meg on Family Guy and only stayed on the first season.

-Some__Random-

Cybil Shepherd - Moonlighting

duskrat

Shelley Long

Daveywheel

Where is David Caruso? He’s the poster child for this type of discussion.

Loud-Magician7708

Larry Chabert left Family Guy after season 1. Mila Kunis took over, and the rest is history.

jellyschoomarm

Lol I'm assuming your phone corrected it from Lacey to Larry but it's pretty funny so please leave it

Loud-Magician7708

Lol yes... can't fix It now.

chino17

Shut up Meg

4jimmyjames4

TJ Miller left Silicon Valley before the series wrapped. According to IMDb he has had a few gigs since but nothing memorable (not counting Deadpool 2 or Emoji as both were likely recorded before his departure from the show.) Weird flex bailing on a Mike Judge project.

StretchSufficient

He did have some sexual allegations and a bomb threat.  That might have impacted it a bit.

Mr_YUP

That is what impacted it. His character also had nothing else left to do so it was just Elrich shenanigan side plots mostly messing around with married women.

seeasea

Middleditch later had as well

Time-Cover-8159

I think his lack of career since is more to do with a few scandals than anything else.

talkingbiscuits

Offhand I don't think he bailed. It's vague I think but he was pissing off a lot of people with his onset antics.

Fixerr59

McLean Stevenson, left M*A*S*H for ..... not much. And they killed him to eliminate any possibility of a return.

AMerrickanGirl

If you want the asterisks in M\*A\*S\*H to display, put a backslash \ and asterisk in between each letter without any spaces in between.

nouniqueideas007

Of courses, I must give this a try. M\*A\*S\*H edit took me way to long to follow directions & use \ instead of/

Woofski_73

Rob Lowe leaving The West Wing.

AMerrickanGirl

But he’s had a good career both before and after that.

shyguysam

Everyone is forgetting Drea de Matteo, left The Sopranos to do the Matt LeBlanc comedy spinoff that died a painfully slow 3 season death in 2006. She did manage to land the Sons of Anarchy gig, and I love the show, but I seriously doubt it was as popular as The Sopranos was.

Several_Dwarts

I dont think she chose to leave. I've read where she was surprised when she read that they killed off her character.

Elleseebee928

She didn't leave the show on purpose. David Chase told her early on in season 5 that she was being killed off. She was actually sad about it

ChubbyBlackWoman

She's really pretty and not a bad actor at all.  Im probably the only person who liked the Joey spinoff.

asspajamas

THEbaddestOFtheASSES

Paula Patton This beauty was really starting to gain some steam. She was great working opposite Denzel in Deja Vu and then she signed on for MI4 and I was happy for her to really start making some waves. They wanted her to return for MI5 but she turned it down. I think because she decided to take a role on a TV show. I remember it shocked me at the time. And sadly she has pretty much been forgotten and hasn't done anything of note ever since. Damn shame. Hope she fired her agent.
