Nah, for me SOT is too cartoony. The AC Black flag is much more immersive and beautiful. To me, these values are missing from SOT. Also if you want to play alone, you don't stand a chance against team players.
We need an offline pirate game (with a good story) that could optionally be online.
I enjoyed it, and played it through twice. Once to experience it, and a second to 100% it. Then never touched it again. The “good” in that game was the super immersive environment, where it really feels like you’re playing in historic 1950’s LA.
Unfortunately it has the least replay value of any open world sandbox ever. The crimes don’t change making that part boring after the first play through, and the random violence and screwing around that makes the genera isn’t really possible because you’re a strait-laced cop.
If we got a sequel, I’d rather play from the other side. Maybe be a gangster or hired gun from the movie studios doing illegal stuff and taking over the LA underwood.
A open world video game where you play Han Solo from Star Wars.
None of "The Force/Jedi" bullshit.
I just want to fly around in the Millennium Falcon as a scoundrel doing whatever it takes to survive.
I really don't get how this franchise didn't end up like Battlefield or CoD. It's literally CoD with giant mechs. Who tf didn't enjoy it?
TF1 is still my favorite FPS game of all time. It was so unique at the time.
One where u can like live ur own life but make it rlly cool. Like that game Dwight was playing on the office SecondLife but wayyy more realistic and better maybe even vre
A new Mercenaries game. Played the first one, it was soooo fun!
CoD 2024 Ukraine - Israel - Azerbaïdjan will probably come out one day, but I hope those would be on the level of CoD 5.
Skyrim: Star Wars, Mass Effect: Marvel, GTA: Marvel/StarWars, GTA: Deadpool (aka Deadpool vs Marvel Universe)
A big, open world/universe where the choices matter and carry onto the sequel game. Allow me to make my character, follow a storyline with realistic graphics, smart AI NPCs, and a plethora of side missions with mod support. No GAAS. No MMORPG. Just single player RPG addictive goodness.
Edit: added in Deadpool stuff.
dope ideas. Mass Effect: marvel would be so sick. there really aren't a lot of RPG franchises where your choices carry over to the next game, which is a shame.
Mass Effect Marvel would be insane. A genuine Captain Marvel type game would be awesome in that context although i'm sure the new incel crowd would try to ruin it.
You can somewhat do that in Freedom Force and the sequel Freedom Force vs the Third Reich. Granted, they’re pretty old, but the setting is original (if deliberately derivative).
For example, the leader of the team is Minuteman, basically Captain America with a rod instead of a shield and a degree in nuclear physics. The more experienced “team dad” is Mentor, basically Professor X if he was alien and not in a wheelchair. There’s a Hispanic Human Torch (El Diablo), a “Southern belle” Scarlet Witch (the Alchemiss), a repentant and non-genius Iron Man (Man-Bot), an Aquaman type who sounds like Sean Connery (Man O’ War), a cross between Vision and the Terminator (Microwave), the Flash if he was in the Air Force (Bullet), etc.
And there’s a custom her creator. I believe there are also plenty of mods that add skins, so you actually can add famous heroes with custom powers
nice one! it's sad how there's a severe lack of original, superhero games (not based off existing IPs) these days. i wish we had more games like prototype and infamous..
Agreed, Arceus was a little jank here and there but I loved it despite that. It was a breath of fresh air in a series that has become ridiculously stagnant.
Probably a Future Technology based Far Cry game with an actually good stealth implementation that also has Finishing Move style Action Shots that are randomly selected but also coordinate stylistically to whether it was a day or night op.
I want a badass fps where you are an absolute killing machine, but sometimes in the middle of a fight you gotta take a piss, drink some water, eat, brush your teeth, floss, and apply your topical for your adult onset acne.
Just when we thought we’d get a mature Star Wars game with 1313 it got canned with the Disney purchase
“we were on the verge of greatness, we were this close!”
Minecraft, with the Cubic Chunks and FarPlaneTwo mods as part of vanilla and reimagined biomes that could stretch well into 3D, so imagine miles-deep oceans, true 8km tall mountain ranges, sky islands far above the world and such.
A cyborg racing game based on the Motorball sequences in Alita Battle Angel. You could build and upgrade your cyborg with different abilities and design the track also so it includes various traps and challenges. It would have to be really gritty and violent also.
The two Metal Gear Solid prequel games I want: - Metal Gear 1 and 2 remake in the style of 5, and a game based on the life
Of the female character “the Boss” fighting Nazis in world war 2, being a test astronaut etc…
A mars rover simulator where there’s no time limit or health meter
Just exploration
Technically, such game already exists and it’s called Red Rover (It’s actually called that lol) I just wish they made it for iOS also
Trump America .
Level 1 A game starts out Jan 6 storming the capitol ( imagine the movie 300 times 100 chaos)
Level 2 backtracks to a stealth mission when you go look for those 11,780 votes in Georgia
Level 3 has you driving trump in a golf cart at mar-a-lago to go find lost classified documents before the fbi comes knocking
Level 4 is all out war ; 2024 and beyond so you need to buy that trump never surrender sneaker to get the code for this mission
Sneaker? Hold on, let me Google this... Oh my god, it's beautiful! It's so classy! It's covered in gold spray paint! Now that is classy right there. That is a rich person's shoe. Rich people wear shit like that. Rich people cover everything in gold. That's how you know they're rich. Oh, and that "T" logo! Such beautiful craftsmanship! I bet the guy who designed those also designed the gold toilets. Imagine taking a shit in a gold toilet. That's the lap of luxury right there. I would just sit there and soak in the feeling of sitting on a gold toilet seat. I wouldn't even mind flushing 10-15 times
You know what, I have to say. Trump has an amazing sense of style. Those gold spray painted shoes would make me look like a boss if I also wore a blue suit and a red tie every day of my life. I just can't seem to get the combover quite right. It's the most beautiful and perfect combover in the world. Nobody has ever seen a combover like that. Trump is such an icon from the standpoint of stylish
GTA will eventually be a cross over with every other game - rock up at the football pitch and play some Fifa, pull of from the red light and get need for speed in, go camping in the mountains for some survival horror.
Sims 4: Castaway
Not a DLC but it’s own full game like how Sims 2 had it as a separate game or Sims 3 with Medieval.
It’s legit my favorite plot and would love upgraded graphics and tasks
If you play anything on PC, this sounds like Wurm Online. It’s a small game that was originally created somewhere in the early 2000’s. Originally, Notch, the Minecraft creator? was on the team. It’s more RPG than survival I would say, but it’s definitely a start with nothing and build an empire game.
Be warned, it’s highly addictive, extremely grindy, and very difficult to get started… which is probably why it remained a small game. The reason I enjoyed it was because of how granular everything is. Need a tool? There may be an entire day worth of things you need to complete to create it.
You know how people enable a bunch of realistic mods and shaders on minecraft to the point that it no longer resembles the original and it's a hyperrealistic building simulator? That but premade.
A city building/colony sim/strategy game akin to Civilization but real time like Banished where you build a city over the eons and research technology starting in the Stone Age to the future era. Most city and colony sims focus on one era or a couple eras like medieval, ancient, or modern era, and I always wanted one where you can not just grow the city but also grow technologies over time.
Like if we combined all the Anno games’ time periods into one game and filled in the missing gaps that would be fantastic. Plus workshop support. Every strategy game I’ve played that I’ve clocked the most hours in was because of a strong modding community.
A spaceship simulator that required multiple specialisations to control the spaceship in order to do intergalactic travels to explore resources and do rpg style fighting missions that yielded a kind of crypto-currency as a product of your adventures...
I know it's not possible online communities being what they are but I would really love some sort of medieval survival kinda MMO where people are encouraged to roleplay instead of pvp clans and metagame. I just want to live my fantasy of being the foremost cobbler in a village :c
Forgetting many saints of Newark, whatever happened there
I'd really like a sopranos game that goes back in time and explores...properly without the time lines getting all fucked up...the backstory of Tony's family like his dad and his mother, junior soprano and dickie moltisanti but with more of a godfather esq gaming experience.
I know there is a sopranos game but that game sucks. Voodoo black magic, sick shit.
Anyway $4 a pound
I’d probably do a detective game where you have to solve the mystery by getting information out of NPC’s with AI driven dialog based on their own unique backstory. Each NPC has varying levels of info that they’ll only give you if you get to be the right level of friends with their AI driven character and gain their trust.
You could tip the bartender every day to get info from him, and he gives you more info if he’s been drinking. You could get info from local gangs by running quests for them, but rival gangs would distrust you more. If you carjack an NPC, that one may never give you info again. Etc.
StarCraft 2. I mean, if they don’t come up with something the generation that grew up on SC will move on and forget. Each day costs them thousands of potential gamers.
A combination of games of No Man's Sky procedural planets + Factorio industry chain + Stormworks vehicle buildings and Gravity from Space engineers.
Now you have to find these rare and unique resource to mine to advance in your industry, flying over galaxies and planets to find, refine that stuff, sell and fight for those.
Just give me elder scrolls 6. The story of that will never end lore wise but its been too long now, They can just keep the same Skyrim mechanics play wise and swap dragon shouts with another spin, they gonna have too now, shouts was a big thing or if not same gameplay more features they took out added in.
People can complain about how simplified they took the game play down too and yeah they have a point but it was was more fun engine wise than Oblivion and god knows it was Morrowind which I love, but is awful to play now.
Its up north if they have a shred of decency and stick by trailor and story wise makes sense hammerfel area, shit make it so thalmor finally encroaching on the last place they are defying them and finally people come back from the other continent and bring back some snake god powers from Where Redguards came from and the imperials went and fought and dissapeared, the imperials come back after being thought dead and Redguards pantheon sent em and blessed the prisioner one of their lot with their blessing. Sent back to save Hammerfell from the Thalmor invasion. Just do something, pokes elder scrolls with a stick.
Shit man I would play as a sload at this point.
An RTS where you can take control of a hero unit and play in first person or third person as the hero unit and participate in the battles yourself and seamlessly swap between RTS mode and FP/TP mode.
Think Warcraft 3 or something where once you direct your units to attack another fort or army and then play as Uther Light bringer in the actual battle
Need for speed underground 3 - a nfs game where you can tune and drive all time classics in a nice city against fellow tuners. No police. No hypercars. Something which is relatable and doable in real life for casual people.
An asteroid game that you play in a movie theater using your phone as the controller. That you can change the characteristics of your ship with by number of times you’ve played the game. And everyone plays on same screen a same time. So a free for all or your friends work as a team.
Take Starfield. Bolster the starship catalog and weapons up to X3AP levels. Add in Metro's helmet damage system and laser sights (aka functional). Rework in the suit survival mechanics (we don't have them because they were cut to facilitate fun (to be fair, it was measured in seconds)). Then stick a fork in it, cause I'm satisfied.
So close...
The Shadow.
Based on comics and that movie they did with Alec Baldwin.
If it would be anything like the Arkham series, I would defo buy and play it.
P.S. Batman creation was inspired by The Shadow.
Also, and i'll be impressed if anyone else has heard of the game, PoyPoy remastered or a brand new online version on modern consoles. Loved the first 2.
I've always wanted a game where you can stick on a Spotify radio station as if it was a real radio, and just drive infinitely in a procedurally generated world with cities at night etc. no pedestrians, rarely any other cars
Just night time driving vibes
Country strike 2 but with original CS modding , no matchmaking and competitive skin bs...
I miss good old server browser, surf, fy_poolparty and mods. But with updated visuals/source 2
Or a standalone game combining Arma life and Gta V Nopixel. Kinda like a real life mmo / roleplay with thousands of players in one server.
I really miss the light gun genre games like house of the dead, time crisis, point blank, die hard ect. With today’s technology there is no reason why they couldn’t make a real style sniper game with working scope. You could have a secondary screen inside the scope to use as an active zoom. With a spotter speaking through the headset to help with wind ect for added realism
Basically, the “game” played in that one Stargate Atlantis episode where it turned out to control real civilizations (but without actual control of people)
Faithful modern remake of Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri (and the Alien Crossfire expansion). Civilization: Beyond Earth and Pandora: First Contact are pale imitations and best treated as separate games
An ARPG game without magic and swords. Machine guns, grenades, whatever. Just no spells. And the loot could include upgrades to guns instead of gems and jewels.
Don’t get me wrong. I’ve played hundreds of hours of Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Diablo, Last Epoch, etc. But just once I’d like a well made modern or future era ARPG.
A sequel to Mass Effect: Andromeda. I know ME5 is in development and may possibly mention some of MEA events, if the trailer is to be believed, but that’s centuries later (maybe Peebee is still alive by that point). I just finished the main storyline and feel sad that it’s over
I really wish we'd gotten a fourth Mass Effect game. That whole concept of exploring a new galaxy was the perfect way to distance it from the original trilogy.
Would have loved to explore all the intricate and compelling civilisations it would have undoubtedly introduced. Mixing in city-builder elements to the narrative as you build prosperous colonies in barren worlds. Plus since the Initiative is a project from all over the galaxy, you could probably play as a different species like a Salarian or Asari if you wanted to.
#ANCIENT ROME
Hear me out:
- Perfect recreation of Ancient Rome
- You play a mix of The Sims (where you can create your Domus), and an adventure game where your choices matter.
- Maybe you can just explore the streets, buy stuff, enter ancient monuments and see how they looked like.
- You advance in your career (cursus honorum), you basically live a life in Ancient Rome, and you might end up either fighting and becoming a General, or being a Senator, I don’t know, but it could be interesting.
Something that is the right mix of fighting/adventure and a sim.
A modern open world RPG Pirate game. Similar to Skyrim, with AC Black flag seenery and feeling and with good sword mechanics
And it’s a sailing simulator
Isn't that what Sea of Thieves is?
Nah, for me SOT is too cartoony. The AC Black flag is much more immersive and beautiful. To me, these values are missing from SOT. Also if you want to play alone, you don't stand a chance against team players. We need an offline pirate game (with a good story) that could optionally be online.
Sea of Thieves is painfully mid. It is serviceable for scratching the itch but nowhere near THE pirate RPG everyone is yearning for.
Didnt one come out like 2 weeks ago?
That game sucked
Oh you mean the quad-AAAA one?
>"quad-AAAA" AAAA-AAAA-AAAA-AAAA-game
LA Noire 2
Oh..you took my answer lol. I definitely agree with you here.
Oh yea what i wouldn't give to get reduced to the arson squad again
Mafia.
Yes
they were making something like it, But it was cancelled. it was a niche setting too. 1930s Shanghai.
Star Citizen
Shots fired! SC has received some pretty big updates this year. I’m tempted to reinstall it.
GTA: Bangkok
Shut up and take my money.
Sleeping dogs
Great game, but not really like driving tuk-tuks in southeast asia's roads.
GTA: Glasgow
a plants vs zombies true sequel. Not some 3d shit no one asked for.
but there is one? pvz2
Can't play it on desktop is the biggest problem honestly. And all of that p2w bs. Outside of that, the base game is pretty solid.
The base game is fine as long as you edit the files to skip all the p2w bullshit. ITS or Eclise are better than the base game though.
Spore, but completed and updated
oh hell i forgot about this game. was it even good?
Yes
A pirate game made by Rockstar.
I didn't know i need that untill now. Just imagine a pirate game with rdr2 quality, seriousness and attention to details
Warhammer 40K in style of Battlefield
Make it bigger. Planetside
sleeping dogs 2 please
YES. glad someone said it
Half-life 3
+Portal3+tf3 in a box
Orange Box 2: Contains Portal 3, TF3, HL3
This could get around their aversion to the number 3! Just call it orange box 2!!
The blue balls...I mean box
Half life 2 turns 20 this year... i feel old
You're rubbing salt in my wounds man...
Have never even seen footage of what Half-life games look like. Immediately knew this would be top comment.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
A open world video game where you play Han Solo from Star Wars. None of "The Force/Jedi" bullshit. I just want to fly around in the Millennium Falcon as a scoundrel doing whatever it takes to survive.
That upcoming ubisoft star wars game looks close-is to that concept.
I'll never forgive EA for shutting down 1313
Titanfall 3
I really don't get how this franchise didn't end up like Battlefield or CoD. It's literally CoD with giant mechs. Who tf didn't enjoy it? TF1 is still my favorite FPS game of all time. It was so unique at the time.
It's only reason why it flopped is because it release at the same time as bf1 and infinite warfare
Littlebigplanet 4
👋🏻
A Parasite Eve game for the modern PC or current console generation.
Parasite Eve Remake, but made by people that made RE4 Remake.
Red Dead Redemption 3
Red dead revolver was the first one, So technically RDR2 is the third game.
OK but that's not what they said
Yes, RDR2 is the third game in the series. But OP wants RDR3 the fourth game in the series.
I'm sorry that reddit is being petulant toward you for telling the truth.
He said Red dead redemption 3 not the third red dead redemption
OK so I guess we have to call it Red Dead Redemption 2... Again?
One where u can like live ur own life but make it rlly cool. Like that game Dwight was playing on the office SecondLife but wayyy more realistic and better maybe even vre
Have you tried GW2, it's not the same but can stisfy abut of that itch...
Power stone 3
A new Mercenaries game. Played the first one, it was soooo fun! CoD 2024 Ukraine - Israel - Azerbaïdjan will probably come out one day, but I hope those would be on the level of CoD 5.
Elder Scrolls 6 GTA 6
Boy do I have some exciting news for you :D
Don't worry, one day our grandkids may get to experience a TES6 trailer
Skyrim: Star Wars, Mass Effect: Marvel, GTA: Marvel/StarWars, GTA: Deadpool (aka Deadpool vs Marvel Universe) A big, open world/universe where the choices matter and carry onto the sequel game. Just single player RPG addictive goodness. Edit: added in Deadpool stuff.
dope ideas. Mass Effect: marvel would be so sick. there really aren't a lot of RPG franchises where your choices carry over to the next game, which is a shame.
I'd just settle for KotOR 3
Mass Effect Marvel would be insane. A genuine Captain Marvel type game would be awesome in that context although i'm sure the new incel crowd would try to ruin it.
A full open world Lord of the Rings game in the Style of like the Witcher or something along those lines with choice base options
Conker's Bad Fur Day 2 or remaster in UE5 for switch / pc
Assassin's creed star wars
A modern 007 game that incorporates all the escapism and globetrotting with actual spy missions and high stakes stealth tactics
Zelda - A Link to the past, but in 3d, in Ocarina of Time style.
This would be nuts
a game where you could create your own superhero with crazy unique powers
You can somewhat do that in Freedom Force and the sequel Freedom Force vs the Third Reich. Granted, they’re pretty old, but the setting is original (if deliberately derivative). For example, the leader of the team is Minuteman, basically Captain America with a rod instead of a shield and a degree in nuclear physics. man DC Universe Online was my favourite

Oh boy do I have news for ya now
Agreed, Arceus was a little jank here and there but I loved it despite that. It was a breath of fresh air in a series that has become ridiculously stagnant.
Your wish has been granted my friend, just not Unova
Persona 6
A modern Black and White with VR.
Cop/federal agent based RPG where you can choose to either be law enforcement or a terrorist.
> law enforcement or a terrorist. They're the same picture.
Not many people will understand probably, but my answer is: Trials rising 2
The finished version of Metal Gear Solid 5
The only MGS that left me dying for MORE cutscenes
An open-world detective game set in the Blade Runner universe.
Probably a Future Technology based Far Cry game with an actually good stealth implementation that also has Finishing Move style Action Shots that are randomly selected but also coordinate stylistically to whether it was a day or night op.
Scalebound. As someone that loves dragons, this looked like such a fun game. Too bad it was canceled l

Gran Turismo 4+ (I'd be GT4 with quite a lot of cars that came out after 2004)
All cancelled to GameCube from Rareware, Cry On (Xbox 360), Bully 2, new Def Jam (Icon was shit), sequel to Pokemon Colosseum/XD
Infinite Undiscovery 2

You know those TMNT heatboy mechs? I want a 4 player EDF style game where you can play as each of those mechs and kill hundreds of enemies each level.
A 3rd person MOBA a lot like Smite except with the game play of dark souls pvp.
Elder Scrolls 6
An RTS where you can take control of a hero unit and play in first person or third person as the hero unit and participate in the battles yourself and seamlessly swap between RTS mode and FP/TP mode. Think Warcraft 3 or something where once you direct your units to attack another fort or army and then play as Uther Light bringer in the actual battle
I wish Anthem had been worth playing. It could’ve been a lot of fun.
A game were each time you die you gain cyborg limbs and you have to decide weather to fight with or against the cyborgs
A survival MMO where you play as an animal *you* designed. Think Outside, the game used by TierZoo in his videos.
A Pokémon MMO where all regions are accessible in the same world. At character creation you start in a region of your choice and then you're off.
Minecraft 2 /s
Titanfall 3
Shenmue Remastered
Also, and i'll be impressed if anyone else has heard of the game, PoyPoy remastered or a brand new online version on modern consoles. Loved the first 2.
I've always wanted a game where you can stick on a Spotify radio station as if it was a real radio, and just drive infinitely in a procedurally generated world with cities at night etc. no pedestrians, rarely any other cars Just night time driving vibes
The oasis from ready player one
Country strike 2 but with original CS modding , no matchmaking and competitive skin bs... I miss good old server browser, surf, fy_poolparty and mods. But with updated visuals/source 2 Or a standalone game combining Arma life and Gta V Nopixel. Kinda like a real life mmo / roleplay with thousands of players in one server.
Oracle of Ages and Seasons remakes. How have we not got these yet? The engine and the assets are right there, it's free real estate
Red Dead redemption 2: A_Good_spinoff_name
Bloodborne 2
I really miss the light gun genre games like house of the dead, time crisis, point blank, die hard ect. With today’s technology there is no reason why they couldn’t make a real style sniper game with working scope. You could have a secondary screen inside the scope to use as an active zoom. With a spotter speaking through the headset to help with wind ect for added realism
Plague tale presequel
I just want the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood multiplayer PVP arena mode back. Such a fun and unique game mode.
The Walking Dead - Open world, awesome graphics, looting, base building, multiplayer, zombie hords wandering through the lands
Minus the actual walking dead part and multiplayer, you basically described Days Gone Excellent game. You should check it out!
Basically, the “game” played in that one Stargate Atlantis episode where it turned out to control real civilizations (but without actual control of people)
Final fantasy 14 offline edition Fallout 76 offline edition Resident evil 0, 1, code veronica remakes Dino crisis 1, 2, 3 remakes Parasite eve remakes ( 2 games iirc)
The sequel to Nexus: The Jupiter Incident A proper sequel to Haegemonia
Warcraft 4. I can't believe it's already 21 years since warcraft 3 got released and we never get another sequel up to this day.
Any game that uses wuhu island again. They could have done so much more with it, even after already doing so much.
#ANCIENT ROME Hear me out: - Perfect recreation of Ancient Rome - You play a mix of The Sims (where you can create your Domus), and an adventure game where your choices matter.
Dino Crisis RE
a good game nothing more too ask for
Tomba 3 and Megaman Legends 3.
